I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 117: Chapter 117: The Teachers Are Dumbfounded

Lin Xiao walked over to the table where the beef noodle soup was waiting.

When she saw the bowl of beef noodle soup, she couldn’t help but gasp, ”Wow!”

”Boss, this looks so delicious!”

Li You said, ”Then hurry up and try it.”

Lin Xiao hummed in agreement, sat down, picked up her chopsticks, and started eating.

After a bite of noodles and a piece of beef, she exclaimed excitedly, ”It really is delicious! This is so much better than any other beef noodle soup I’ve had anywhere else. No wonder Grandpa and the others were raving about it. Boss, you’re amazing!”

Li You smiled. ”Take your time and enjoy it.”

Lin Xiao nodded. ”Okay. Thank you, Boss, for treating me to such delicious beef noodle soup.”

Li You again told Lin Xiao not to be so formal.

After that, Lin Xiao stopped talking and focused on her noodles.

She slowly finished her meal, drinking every last drop of the broth.

”Boss, I’m done. That was so good! I never imagined beef noodle soup could taste this amazing,” Lin Xiao said, completely satisfied.

Li You said, ”Next time you’re back for your weekend leave, I’ll treat you again.”

”Really? Thank you, Boss!” Lin Xiao was overjoyed. She then added, ”But I’m paying next time. I can’t let you keep treating me. After all, you’re running a business.”

Li You chuckled. ”We’ll see about that when the time comes.”

Just then, Xiaohai walked up to the table where Lin Xiao had been sitting. After clearing the table, it carried the bowl and chopsticks into the kitchen.

It then placed the bowl and chopsticks into the automatic dishwasher to be cleaned.

Xiaohai and Da Bai knew how to use all the various kitchen utensils.

Li You and Lin Xiao both went outside the shop.

Looking at the orchard, Lin Xiao said, ”Boss, Grandpa told me you’re planning to plant a hundred different types of fruit trees in the orchard. Is that true?”

Li You nodded. ”That’s right! I do have that in mind. I’ve already planted more than ten types, and I plan to add more gradually.”

Lin Xiao said, ”It won’t be easy to plant a full hundred types. But I’m sure you can do it, Boss.”

Li You smiled. ”I don’t think it’ll be too much of a problem either. Besides fruit trees, I’m also planning to plant some flowers.”

Lin Xiao said, ”Plant lots of pretty ones. It’ll be so beautiful in the future.”

Li You nodded, thinking the same thing.

The two chatted casually as time slowly passed.

At eleven in the morning, a few electric tricycles and motorcycles pulled into the parking lot.

Lin Xiao cheered, ”Grandpa and Grandma are here!”

Then, she ran forward to greet them.

Li You smiled faintly and also walked over.

Besides Lin Zhonghai and his wife, a dozen or so other familiar villagers from Taoshan Village, including Lin Guodong, had also arrived.

”Grandpa, Grandma, the boss treated me to a bowl of beef noodle soup. It was so good!” Lin Xiao said, running up to Lin Zhonghai.

Lin Zhonghai was very happy to see his granddaughter, but he said, ”You didn’t pay? The boss is running a business, how can you not pay? I know you have money on you.”

Lin Xiao said, ”I tried to, but the boss wouldn’t take it.”

At that moment, Li You chuckled, ”Elder Lin, can’t I treat your granddaughter to a bowl of noodles?”

Lin Zhonghai laughed as well. ”Well then, thank you, young man.”

Li You said, ”You’re being too formal again, Elder Lin.”

Lin Xiao then said excitedly, ”Grandpa, Grandma, you don’t know yet, but the boss has two robot waiters now! Come on, I’ll show you.”

”Robot waiters? What robot waiters?” Lin Zhonghai was a bit confused.

”You’ll understand when you see them. Let’s go, let’s go!”

Lin Xiao was eager to show her grandparents the robot waiters.

Lin Zhonghai and his wife were dragged away by Lin Xiao.

Lin Guodong and the others asked Li You curiously, ”Young man, what are these robot waiters Xiaoxiao is talking about?”

Li You smiled. ”They’re robots that can help me with a few things. You can consider them my two assistants. I was getting a bit overwhelmed by myself.”

Lin Guodong and the others all nodded.

They also thought Li You should find a couple of helpers. If he kept working alone, he would definitely be overwhelmed.

Now even robots could be waiters. Technology was getting more and more incredible.

Thinking this, the group walked to the front of the shop.

Lin Xiao was saying to Da Bai and Xiaohai, ”Da Bai, Xiaohai, this is my grandpa and grandma. They’re here to eat, too.”

”Welcome!” Da Bai and Xiaohai said in unison.

Lin Zhonghai and his wife stared in amazement.

Lin Guodong and the others had the same reaction.

After watching for a moment, they all went inside the shop and found a place to sit.

Da Bai walked over to take their order.

Seeing that the robot could even take orders, Lin Zhonghai was amazed all over again. He then said, ”We’ll have two orders of Mapo Tofu, two orders of Twice-Cooked Pork with Garlic Sprouts, two orders of Twice-Cooked Pork with Green Peppers, and two orders of Stir-fried Shredded Potatoes. And rice. That’s all.”

After noting everything down, Da Bai said, ”Please wait a moment. Your food will be out shortly.”

Lin Zhonghai, Lin Guodong, and the others once again marveled at how amazing modern technology was.

Li You had been watching Da Bai take the order.

This was Da Bai’s first time taking an order, so it was worth paying attention.

The result left Li You very satisfied.

’But how is Da Bai going to give me the customer’s order now?’

Then, he saw a small ticket dispense from Da Bai’s arm.

Da Bai handed the ticket to Li You and said, ”Boss, this is the order for table number six.”

Li You took it and looked. The ticket clearly showed the table number and the items the customer had ordered.

It was exactly what Lin Zhonghai had just ordered, with no mistakes.

’Not bad, not bad at all.’

Li You was very happy.

With this, he could completely entrust the task of taking orders to Da Bai and Xiaohai.

He walked into the kitchen and started cooking.

The two orders of Twice-Cooked Pork with Garlic Sprouts were the first to be finished.

Once they were plated, Da Bai came over, picked up the two plates of Twice-Cooked Pork with Garlic Sprouts, and served them to the customers’ table.

Just then, the teachers—Chu Yiwei, Lin Xin, Zhang Qinghe, Cai Peng, and others—also arrived outside the shop.

Then they saw a black-colored robot walk out of the shop.

”What’s going on? Why is there a robot here?”

The teachers were all completely surprised.
