I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant

Chapter 119: Chapter 119: You Come to the Spicy Crayfish Tasting Tomorrow, Too

The business owners marveled to themselves.

And with their arrival, the restaurant grew even livelier.

Da Bai and Xiaohai also became busier.

However, everything ran in an orderly fashion.

Not only was their service impeccable, but they also hadn’t made the slightest error.

Combined with their adorably dorky appearance, everyone found themselves liking the robots more and more. They were quickly becoming fans.

Meanwhile, Li You stayed in the kitchen cooking, not taking a single step outside.

This not only made his job feel effortless, but the food was also coming out much faster than before.

Soon, all the dishes the business owners had ordered were served.

Only then did Li You step out of the kitchen to greet everyone and exchange a few pleasantries.

Chu Yiwei said, ”Boss, your two robot waiters are incredible. We’ve almost started treating them like real people. It feels like there’s no difference. No, wait, I think they’re even quicker and more reliable than human waiters.”

Li You smiled. ”I’m very happy that everyone likes them. To celebrate, everything is 20% off today.”

”Really? Hahaha! Thanks, Boss!”

Everyone was delighted, and the atmosphere in the restaurant grew even more animated.

Seeing how happy everyone was, Li You felt happy too.

He would earn a bit less with the 20% discount, but it didn’t matter.

Li You didn’t feel the pinch at all.

At that moment, Lin Guodong and his five companions finished the liquor in their bowls. Then, sure enough, each of them ordered another serving.

With the 20% discount, a serving was only sixteen yuan.

At that price, they just had to have another serving.

When Zhao Yu, Deng Luping, and the other business owners saw this, they were also sorely tempted to drink.

But in the end, they resisted the urge.

They had come for lunch today specifically to eat and then ride home the motorcycles they had left here yesterday.

If they drank again today, their motorcycles would have to stay parked here, and who knew when they’d finally be able to ride them home.

’Focus on the food. Stop thinking about alcohol.’

Gradually, everyone finished their meals.

Da Bai and Xiaohai began to clear the tables.

The customers paid by scanning the QR code. True to his word, Li You gave everyone the 20% discount.

Everyone thanked him again.

The teachers and the business owners left one after another.

Lin Zhonghai, Lin Guodong, and the others also began to say their goodbyes.

After saying goodbye to Li You, Lin Xiao turned to Da Bai and Xiaohai and said, ”Da Bai, Xiaohai, I’m going home now. And I have to go back to school tomorrow. I’ll come see you guys again when I’m back next month.”

”We’ll be waiting for you,” Da Bai and Xiaohai said in unison.

Hearing this, Lin Xiao grew even more fond of the two and was more reluctant to leave.

Just then, Li You asked, ”Xiao, what time are you heading back to school tomorrow?”

Lin Xiao replied, ”I’m taking the two o’clock bus from town to the county seat.”

Li You nodded and asked, ”Do you like crayfish? Spicy crayfish.”

”Spicy crayfish?” Lin Xiao’s eyes lit up. ”I love them! Absolutely love them! I’ve even thought about going down to the paddies to catch some and cook them myself. But I’m not good at it, and neither are my grandparents.”

”This girl, all you think about is food,” Lin Zhonghai chided with a laugh.

Li You smiled slightly. ”In that case, come by again tomorrow morning. I’m launching a new dish—spicy crayfish—and I’ll be inviting guests for a free tasting. You should come and try it too.”

”Really, Boss?” Lin Xiao’s eyes shone brightly.

Li You nodded. ”Of course.”

”Then I’m definitely coming!” Lin Xiao said excitedly.

”You’re being impolite, girl,” Lin Zhonghai interjected. ”Young man, don’t mind her.”

Li You smiled. ”Uncle Lin, I really am holding a free tasting for the spicy crayfish tomorrow. Chu Yiwei and Lin Xin will be here too.”

”Is that so, young man?” Lin Zhonghai was still a little unsure.

Li You nodded. ”It’s true. Uncle Lin, Uncle Guodong, everyone—if you enjoy it, you’re all more than welcome to come.”

”No, no, no. We won’t come. It’s enough for Xiaoxiao to come by herself,” Lin Zhonghai, Lin Guodong, and the others all quickly insisted.

After a moment, Lin Zhonghai added, ”Young man, where do you get the crayfish for your spicy crayfish dish? Do you buy them from a special supplier, or do you catch them yourself? For instance, would you want the crayfish from our village’s paddies?”

Li You said, ”I would! In fact, my crayfish already come from our village paddies. I just don’t catch them myself. Other villagers catch them, and I buy their hauls.”

”Good, good. As long as you’ll take them,” Lin Zhonghai said, nodding repeatedly.

Then he added, ”Well, young man, we’ll be heading off now.”

Li You nodded. ”Alright. Take care on your way, everyone.”

”Alright.”

Lin Xiao waved. ”Goodbye, Boss!”

Li You said, ”Oh, right, Xiao. When you come over tomorrow morning, you can just bring your bags with you. Then, after having crayfish for lunch, you can head straight to town to catch your bus.”

”Oh, I see!” Lin Xiao nodded. ”That works. I’ll bring my things with me when I come tomorrow, then.”

Li You nodded. ”Great!”

With that, Lin Zhonghai, Lin Guodong, and their group departed.

It was already 12:30 in the afternoon.

’Time to make some twice-cooked pork with garlic sprouts for lunch.’

Li You went into the kitchen and started cooking.

Soon, a richly aromatic plate of twice-cooked pork with garlic sprouts was ready.

He ladled out a bowl of rice.

Time to eat.

Just as he finished, more customers arrived.

They were from town, and he didn’t recognize them.

These customers were equally amazed by Da Bai and Xiaohai’s incredible intelligence and quickly grew to adore the two.

Li You was slowly realizing that these two might just become the stars of his restaurant.

It seemed every customer was easily won over.

’They’re even more charming than I am!’

Li You clicked his tongue in amazement.

Of course, this was a good thing.

’Go on, win them over. The more fans, the better.’

After that group of customers, more arrived in waves.

Unsurprisingly, all the newcomers quickly grew fond of the two robots as well.

’They really do have star potential.’

Customers came in one wave after another, and it wasn’t until three in the afternoon that there was finally a lull.

’No more customers. Time for a break.’

Li You lay back in his rocking chair, scrolling through videos on his phone.

After scrolling for a while, he suddenly had an idea. He said to Da Bai, ”Da Bai, go to the kitchen and bring out two large basins.”

”Yes, Boss.”

After acknowledging the order, Da Bai went into the kitchen and brought out two very large basins.

Li You then took out about fifty-five pounds of crayfish from the Spatial Fish Pond.

Then he said to Da Bai and Xiaohai, ”Da Bai, Xiaohai, prepare these crayfish.”

”Yes, Boss.”

Da Bai and Xiaohai replied in unison, then began preparing the crayfish.

Their movements were as swift as ever.

Li You went back to lying in his chair and scrolling through videos.

With Da Bai and Xiaohai around, his life was even more comfortable.

Before long, villagers like Li Chi and Liu Zhanghong arrived to sell more crayfish.

When they saw Da Bai and Xiaohai preparing the crayfish, they were utterly dumbfounded.
