Chapter 108: Chapter 108: Bald Qiang, Xiong Da, and Xiong Er Help Plant Ginger

The world before Li You’s eyes began to blur.

When his vision cleared, he found himself in a forest.

Li You was thrilled to see he was in a forest.

’Could it be... Am I really back in Bear Ridge again?’

After taking a closer look, his delight and excitement grew.

’There’s no mistake. This is definitely Bear Ridge.’

He had actually returned to Bear Ridge.

This was great!

’I just wonder if Bald Qiang, Xiong Da, Xiong Er, and the other animals still remember me?’

’I hope they do!’

”Host has entered the game instance. Current instance: Boonie Bears World. Ginger crop seeds have been placed in the host’s Storage Pavilion. The host may view them at their leisure.” The system’s voice echoed in his mind.

After entering a game instance, the system would gift him the seeds for the ingredient he had previously chosen.

’Has it already sent them?’

Li You opened his Storage Pavilion. Sure enough, he saw the ginger seeds—or rather, old ginger.

”Seed Name: Ginger Seed.

Weight: 50 pounds.

Maturation Time: 24 hours.

Estimated Yield of Young Ginger: 800 pounds.”

’Matures in just 24 hours? The growth speed is incredible.’

A situation like this could really only happen in the unscientific world of Boonie Bears.

Li You remembered that in Boonie Bears, Bald Qiang had planted vegetables and sugarcane several times.

Their growth speed was so fast they would mature in the blink of an eye.

Xiong Da and Xiong Er had also planted vegetables—Napa cabbage, he thought—and they had also matured almost instantly.

This was simply the ideal place to grow crops.

The amount of seeds gifted by the system was random.

This time, it had gifted him 50 pounds of ginger seed, which was excellent.

The estimated yield of 800 pounds of young ginger, however, was a bit of a surprise to Li You.

Normally, one pound of ginger seed yielding about eight pounds of young ginger was considered a very good harvest.

So, getting 400 pounds of young ginger from 50 pounds of seed would have been fantastic.

But this was double that. ’As expected of system-gifted seeds. They’re amazing.’

This was, of course, a good thing.

Li You was both surprised and delighted.

’Okay, first, I’ll find Bald Qiang, Xiong Da, Xiong Er, and the other animals. Then I’ll find a plot of land to plant the ginger.’

’After 24 hours, I’ll harvest the young ginger, leave this place, and return to the real world.’

’That’s the plan.’

First, he would head to Bald Qiang’s log cabin and see if he was home.

After getting his bearings and figuring out the direction of Bald Qiang’s cabin, Li You walked forward briskly.

After walking for a while, a very familiar voice reached his ears.

”Bald Qiang, stop! Don’t run!”

It was Xiong Er’s voice.

Clearly, Xiong Da and Xiong Er were chasing Bald Qiang again.

’To run into them here, this is perfect.’

’I hope they still remember me.’

Li You looked in the direction the voice came from.

Soon, Bald Qiang’s figure came into view.

He was sprinting, carrying that red chainsaw of his.

At the same time, he was yelling, ”Hero Xiong, stop chasing me! I’ll never cut down trees again!”

Not far behind, Xiong Da and Xiong Er were in hot pursuit.

”Bald Qiang, I told you to stop! Didn’t you hear me?”

A smile spread across Li You’s face, and he shouted, ”Brother Qiang! Xiong Da! Xiong Er!”

Hearing this voice, Bald Qiang, Xiong Da, and Xiong Er all froze, skidding to a halt at the same time.

After stopping, they all looked over toward Li You.

When they saw Li You, their faces lit up with surprise and excitement.

Bald Qiang said, ”Li You, it really is you! You’re here!”

Xiong Er said, ”It’s Li You! Li You is here again! This is great!”

Xiong Da added, ”Li You, welcome back to Bear Ridge.”

The man and two bears stopped their chase and quickly ran toward Li You.

Seeing that Bald Qiang, Xiong Da, and Xiong Er all remembered him, Li You was also thrilled. He hurried forward to greet them, saying, ”Brother Qiang, Xiong Da, Xiong Er, it’s so great to see you all again.”

Bald Qiang laughed heartily. ”Li You, we’re also very happy to see you again! And now that you’re here, you can finally witness my, Brother Qiang’s, heroic style once more.”

Xiong Er said, ”Bald Qiang, besides bragging and getting chased all over the forest by us, what heroic style do you have?”

Xiong Da added, ”What do you mean? There’s his heroic style when he’s running away. Brother Qiang looks pretty cool when he’s escaping.”

He burst out laughing after he said it.

Li You couldn’t help but smile.

Bald Qiang snorted and said, ”Don’t forget, there are times when I chase you two all over the forest, too. Besides, a lot of critical moments depend on me, Brother Qiang. I can’t be bothered to argue with you two.”

Then, Bald Qiang turned back to Li You. ”Li You, what brings you to Bear Ridge this time? Are you here for a vacation again?”

”Yeah, Li You, are you on vacation again? Can you stay a little longer this time?” Xiong Er also asked.

Li You said, ”I’m not here for a vacation this time. I’m here to find a piece of land to plant some ginger.”

Planting ginger?

Bald Qiang, Xiong Da, and Xiong Er were all a bit surprised. But they didn’t ask why Li You would come all the way to Bear Ridge just to plant ginger.

Instead, they all happily declared that they were very willing to help Li You plant it.

Bald Qiang said, ”Li You, you absolutely picked the right place to plant ginger! I, Brother Qiang, am an expert vegetable gardener. With me helping you plant, you’re guaranteed a huge harvest. Also, you don’t need to look for land. Just plant it in my yard. What do you think? Am I a good brother or what?”

”Us too, us too! Li You, we’re willing to help you plant ginger too,” Xiong Er said.

”We’ll all plant it together. It’ll be faster,” Xiong Da also said.

Li You was delighted that Bald Qiang, Xiong Da, and Xiong Er were willing to help. He smiled and said, ”Great! Thank you all. How about this: you help me plant the ginger, and I’ll cook for you? I’m actually a chef, and I brought a lot of ingredients this time.”

”Really? That’s great!” Xiong Er cheered.

After a moment, he added, ”Li You, so you’re a chef! Does that mean your food is really delicious?”

Li You chuckled. ”It’s pretty good, yes.”

”That’s amazing! We’re gonna have good food to eat!” Xiong Er cheered even louder.

Bald Qiang and Xiong Da were, of course, also very happy.

Bald Qiang said, ”So you’re a chef! Then your cooking skills must be even better than mine. I, Brother Qiang, will have to properly taste your handiwork.”

Li You replied, ”Brother Qiang, your cooking is excellent too. That grilled fish last time was delicious.”

Bald Qiang grinned proudly. ”Of course. My cooking skills are top-notch, especially when it comes to barbecue. ’Brother Qiang’s BBQ’ is a name that’s well-earned.”

Xiong Da rolled his eyes. ”Bald Qiang, you mean your boasting skills are top-notch, right?”

Bald Qiang huffed, ”I, Brother Qiang, never boast.”

Li You smiled and said, ”Oh, right, let’s call Jiji, Maomao, Luobutou, Beng Beng, and Tutu to join us. I’ll treat them to a meal too.”

”Okay!” Xiong Er said. ”I’ll go get them. They’ll be so happy to know you’re here. After I gather them, I’ll take them straight to Bald Qiang’s cabin.”

With that, Xiong Er ran off.

”That Xiong Er... Well, let’s head to the cabin first,” Bald Qiang said.

”Okay.”

Li You and Xiong Da had no objections.

The two humans and one bear started walking toward Bald Qiang’s log cabin.
