King of the Wilderness

Chapter 598: Chapter 301: Inviting the In-Laws, Part 3

”For example, your vehicle procurement, large-scale investments, and so on. Feel free to contact me anytime, I would be more than happy to assist you.”

He perfectly demonstrated the professional qualities of a top-tier real estate agent, completing the transaction neatly and leaving a branch for future cooperation.

”Very well,” Lin Yu’an nodded, ”Send my regards to your team. Our cooperation won’t end here.”

”Thank you, sir.”

Arthur bowed again, then turned and left the study, leaving the tranquility of this space and the entire kingdom, along with its new mission, entirely to its new owner.

In the study, only Lin Yu’an, Aliya, and Emily remained.

Emily looked at the mysterious letter on the table with eyes still filled with concern, ”Dear, have you really decided? That place...”

Lin Yu’an held her hand and glanced at Aliya, who was equally concerned, with a comforting smile on his face.

He spoke slowly, and his tone had lost the sharp edge he held when dealing with subordinates and advisors, leaving only gentleness for his family: ”I have decided, but there is no rush. We’re just got home, haven’t we?”

”Before thinking about how to explore that dark underwater labyrinth, I want to explore our own kingdom.”

”This 31,000 acres of land, those stretching forests, clear rivers, adorable animals... there’s so much beauty waiting for us and the children to discover.”

He turned around and reached out to his two wives.

”Come, my queens, forget those heavy tales. Today, let’s just be ordinary people who’ve just moved into a new home.”

”Our primary task is to get familiar with our kitchen, select bedroom decorations we like, and... choose the first batch of toys for the kids’ playroom.”

These words instantly dispelled all the shadows in Aliya and Emily’s hearts. They exchanged a smile, their faces once again shining with happiness.

Yes, they just got home. Although future adventures are destined, the happiness before their eyes is what deserves the most to be cherished.

Lin Yu’an looked at their smiling faces, and his heart was at peace.

He had already taken on that heavy commission, but that didn’t mean he had to set off immediately.

He would wait for the most appropriate time, after he had fully controlled this kingdom, to consider the final bequest of that other king.

And now, he just wanted to enjoy the pure joy of being the head of the household.

The family left the study that had borne too much history and decision-making and returned to the more lively living room.

Sunshine spilled through the large floor-to-ceiling windows onto the thick Navajo carpet, warming it.

The two little ones were on the soft carpet, babbling as they chased a rolling ball, occasionally letting out peals of laughter like silver bells.

Lin Yu’an, Aliya, and Emily were cozily nestled on the sofa, sipping the hot tea Irena had just brought, enjoying this rare tranquility.

Looking at the warm scene before him, Lin Yu’an was moved.

He turned his head to gaze at Aliya, who was gently watching the children, and softly said, ”Dear, we can say we’ve truly settled down now.”

Aliya lifted her head, her beautiful eyes carrying a hint of inquiry.

Lin Yu’an held her hand, continuing, ”I think it’s time to invite your family over as guests.”

The moment she heard the words inviting family, Aliya’s eyes instantly lit up, filled with an uncontrollable joy and excitement from within.

Ever since she left her family, it had been a long time since she’d had a good gathering with them.

She was eager to have her father Robert, mother Martha, and her brothers Wyatt, Garrett, Bo, especially her closest twin brother Kley, come to see her current life, see how happy she is.

However, Emily, sitting on the other side, couldn’t help but retract her smile a bit, a hint of imperceptible apprehension flashing in her eyes.

She was different from Aliya; Aliya’s family was a large yet unfamiliar existence to her.

The thought of soon facing Aliya’s father and her brothers, each with two wives, and the ladies called mothers made her feel an invisible pressure.

How would they perceive her? How would they see this unique family?

Lin Yu’an keenly sensed the stark contrast in emotions between his two wives.

He quietly reached out another hand, gently grasping Emily’s cool fingertips, pulling her into his embrace.

He was about to say something to comfort Emily when Aliya, in her excitement, spoke first.

Aliya noticed Emily’s apprehension, immediately snapping back from her joy, and scooted over from the other end of the sofa to sit closely next to Emily, affectionately wrapping her arm.

”Hey, dear,” Aliya’s blue eyes sparkled with sincere warmth, and she gently shook Emily’s arm, ”Are you worried about my family?”

Emily nodded a little embarrassedly.

Aliya couldn’t help but laugh, her smile as bright as Wyoming’s sunshine, ”Don’t worry, you have absolutely nothing to worry about! My family, they’re actually all really wonderful.”

Her tone became incredibly gentle, as if sharing a sweet secret.

”My dad Robert, he may seem stern, but he’s actually the softest-hearted; he dotes on us daughters the most.”

”My mom Martha and the other mothers, they’ll love you as if you were their own daughter.”

”And my brothers, Wyatt, Garrett, Bo, they’re true Western gentlemen, and would never make you feel uncomfortable in the slightest.”

”They may be traditional, but they value family above all. And you, Emily, have long been the most important and irreplaceable family in my life.”

”They’ll only be happy for me for having a sister like you, there won’t be any other looks.”

This heartfelt reassurance filled with love was far more moving than any strong declaration could be.

Emily lifted her head to look at Aliya’s sincere, unblemished eyes, and all the anxiety and unease in her heart melted away like snow into a warm stream.

She nodded firmly, her face once more wearing a reassuring smile.

Lin Yu’an quietly watched this scene unfold, saying nothing.

He watched his two wives, one fiery with passion, the other gentle like water, perfectly blending together, supporting and comforting each other.

His heart was filled with unprecedented satisfaction and pride.

Seeing that Emily had completely relaxed, Aliya couldn’t contain her excitement anymore. She jumped up from the sofa, giving Lin Yu’an and Emily a kiss on the cheek each.

”Great!” She looked at them, her eyes full of happiness, ”I’ll call Kley right away to share this good news with everyone!”

With that, like a little bird filled with joy, she ran towards the balcony with her phone, eager to share this happiness.

Meanwhile, on the living room sofa, Lin Yu’an watched Aliya’s jubilant silhouette, smiling and shaking his head.

Then he tightened his arms around Emily, holding her closer. He was also looking forward to this upcoming family gathering.

Then, he put away the tenderness on his face, his expression becoming focused and sharp once more.

Before welcoming the family, he had more important and urgent tasks to kick-start immediately.
