King of the Wilderness

Chapter 580: Chapter 296: The King’s Authority

Finally, Arthur took them in the private elevator wrapped in brass and deep brown leather, arriving at the master suite on the third floor, which belonged solely to the owner.

”The entire third floor is a complete, independent, private space,” Arthur introduced in the elevator.

The elevator doors opened, and what first caught their eyes was not the bedroom, but a cozy living room with a huge fireplace and an unbeatable view of the lake.

In one corner of the living room, there was even a fully equipped tea bar, complete with a coffee machine, mini-fridge, and ice maker.

Walking through the living room and pushing open a heavy wooden door, the real bedroom was revealed before their eyes.

The design of this space perfectly interpreted the words low-key luxury.

The enormous cedar wood bed, capable of accommodating four people, was undoubtedly the centerpiece.

The headboard was made of beige tufted velvet squares, looking tremendously comfortable. The bed was covered with top-tier Italian Frette linens, silky smooth to the touch, like cool silk.

The most unique design was the entire wall behind the bed made of deep olive-green velvet drapes.

It not only visually extended the space but added a theatrical drama and an unparalleled tranquility.

On the bedside tables flanking the bed, elegantly designed glass lamps emitted a gentle glow.

Opposite the bed was an entire wall of floor-to-ceiling glass doors, leading directly to a private viewing balcony belonging only to the owner.

Aliya and Emily slowly walked to the window, looking down below.

From this highest point known as the Eagle’s Nest, they could clearly see the last ray of sunset, casting the snow-covered kingdom beneath their feet into a dreamlike golden red.

The ice-sealed Mirror Lake, the winding Giant Stone River resembling a white ribbon, the snow-covered dark green pine forest... all of it lay underneath them.

At this moment, they finally understood deeply what it meant to hold the horizon in their hands!

”My dear...” Aliya’s voice had a slight tremor as she turned and tightly embraced Lin Yu’an, ”Thank you, thank you for creating all of this for us.”

Emily also embraced him from the other side, pressing her cheek against his chest.

Lin Yu’an held the two most important women in his life, his heart filled with unprecedented satisfaction.

He looked at the magnificent kingdom outside the window and softly said, ”No, it’s us together, we found our home.”

Night fell, and the family returned to the warm living room.

The living room at night revealed a charm completely different from daylight; the outdoor world had turned a deep azure, with the snow reflecting a crisp, cold light under the moonlight.

Indoors, it was a warm ocean, the fire in the fireplace burning more vigorously, reddening everyone’s face.

The family cozily snuggled on the giant sectional sofa, covered with soft blankets.

The little ones had already fallen into a deep sleep in the warm embrace, wearing satisfied smiles.

Lin Yu’an, Aliya, and Emily didn’t speak; they just quietly nestled together, listening to the crackling of the burning wood in the fireplace and the occasional whoosh of wind through the pine trees outside.

This sound was the most wonderful symphony in the world.

This was their kingdom.

And tonight was the first day of a new era for this kingdom.

The next day, when the first rays of the golden dawn passed over the main peak of the Teton Mountains, turning the snow at the mountain’s crest into a magnificent rose gold, Lin Yu’an had already awakened.

He didn’t disturb Aliya and Emily, who were still sound asleep beside him; he just quietly got up, stepping barefoot onto the warm oak floor heated by underfloor heating.

The hard work of last night hadn’t left him feeling tired in the slightest; instead, it felt like new energy had been injected into his body. He stood firmly in front of the large floor-to-ceiling window, quietly watching the scenery before him.

Unlike the deep blue tranquility of last night, the morning at the Eagle’s Nest displayed a majestic vitality.

The red canyon in the distance was sharply defined in the morning light, like a slumbering giant beast, each gully full of a sense of power.

A thin layer of mist rose in the nearby forest, with sunlight penetrating the haze and treetops, casting dappled shadows on the snow.

The whole world was so silent that he could only hear his heartbeat and the calm breathing of this land from afar.

He took a deep breath, the pure air scented with snow and pine, made him feel his limbs filled with unprecedented strength and clarity.

This was his kingdom. From today, he would personally hold its scepter!

When Aliya and Emily awoke, they were greeted by the warm flames rekindled in the fireplace and the rich aromas of freshly brewed coffee and baked bread filling the air.

A neatly uniformed lady named Irena, who introduced herself as the exclusive chef of the ”Eagle’s Nest,” had already prepared a sumptuous breakfast for them.

Fresh milk just pressed from their farm, American scrambled eggs made with organic eggs, paired with perfectly fried black forest bacon and locally sourced venison sausage.

Freshly baked sourdough bread, served with Isigny butter from France, and Manuka honey from New Zealand.

There was also a big platter of sliced seasonal fruit, each piece plump and juicy, as if concentrated with the essence of sunshine.
