King of the Wilderness

Chapter 584: Chapter 297: Warrior Charter (2)

”Or spray biological pesticides such as Bt preparations and azadirachtin, which are harmless to the environment.”

Arthur’s tone became incredibly serious, ”And the last line of defense, which is hardly ever used, is the surgical chemical intervention.”

”The farm will choose emergency chemical agents that are certified as the most environmentally friendly, with the lowest toxicity and that decompose quickly in the soil.”

”But the authority to use this scalpel is strictly controlled in the hands of General Manager Hank and yourself.”

”It is only approved for use in extreme situations like a locust plague that could cause devastating damage to crops, and only after joint signature confirmation.”

”In the past five years, this scalpel has been used only once, when drones sprayed a 50-meter-wide isolation belt along the edge of the farmland, successfully stopping the migrating swarm of locusts.”

”All records of operations conducted in this area will be submitted as an appendix for record to our top beef clients.”

Arthur concluded, his tone full of pride: ”So, sir, Giant Stone River does not sell the hollow slogan of never using pesticides.”

”What it sells is a complete and transparent management system that minimizes risks and non-natural interventions to near zero.”

”This is one of the key reasons why the price of Giant Stone River branded beef is so high!”

Arthur glanced at the document and continued: ”So, the total feed cost for the farm last year was 3.3 million, of which 2.7 million was used for the cultivation of this self-owned farmland.”

”Including seeds, organic fertilizer, irrigation, labor, and farm machinery wear and tear. The remaining 600,000 was used to purchase those ingredients that cannot be produced by ourselves, such as dark chocolate, maple syrup, and brewers grain.”

”According to financial calculations, if the farm-produced feed were all purchased from the market at the same level, the total cost would exceed 4.5 million dollars.”

”This means this self-owned farmland and our farm machinery team can save the ranch nearly two million dollars in cash expenditures annually!”

”It is truly the cornerstone that allows for a 13% net profit margin and the realization of a perfect ecological loop.”

This discovery made Lin Yu’an more excited than seeing the 1.6 million in profits!

Profit is just the result, and this farmland is the core engine for creating profit, controlling costs, and resisting risks!

He experienced once again the mindset of the previous owner, Mr. Hunter, who was like a big player, not only creating a luxury brand but also constructing an independent kingdom with core production capabilities.

Arthur’s voice pulled Lin Yu’an back from his thoughts, ”On the northern edge of the ranch, there is a 1,500-meter long private paved runway certified by FAA.”

”The runway is equipped with night navigation lighting systems and an ILS instrument landing system, sufficient for night takeoff and landing needs. In fact, it can easily handle the takeoff and landing of medium-sized business jets like the Gulfstream G650.”

”Next to the runway is an accompanying constant temperature hangar, with independent fuel storage tanks and ground power equipment. The hangar is currently empty, ready for the new owner’s plane to move in at any time.”

”Aside from these regular buildings, the ranch also possesses a unique, history-making asset worthy of inclusion in the history of Western United States development — a private railway line.”

”The Giant Stone River Heritage Ranch was initially established in 1888 by railroad magnate and mining tycoon Patrick Connelly.”

”The ranch was first created to supply meat and timber for the North Pacific United Mining Company under his command.”

”In 1902, the Connelly Clan invested heavily to build a five-mile-long railway spur line from the main line of the BNSF Railway (Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Company).”

”This railway leads straight to the heart of the ranch. Having such a private railway at that time was undoubtedly the ultimate symbol of wealth and power.”

”And now, your ranch has a truly private train station.”

”Whenever you need, you can dispatch BNSF’s freight trains to deliver heavy materials from anywhere in the world directly to the heart of your kingdom.”

”This asset currently has an assessed book value of about eight million dollars, but its strategic value cannot be measured in money.”

”It empowers this seemingly isolated land with the ability to engage in industrial-grade logistics exchanges with the entire North American Continent.”

Lin Yu’an was already aware of the existence of this railway and planned to use it in the future to transport materials for the construction of the Arctic Hall, so he wasn’t very surprised by it.

Arthur switched to the final page of the report, which didn’t contain any charts, only an aerial panoramic photo of the magnificent ranch.

”At last, the most precious, truly priceless asset of the Giant Stone River Heritage Ranch is the intangible privileges and the living ecosystem.”

”The ranch holds the primary water rights for the Giant Stone River and its main tributaries flowing through, recorded by the state government in 1888.”

”The year 1888 is crucial because, according to the priority appropriation principle of the Western United States, it means no matter how severe the future droughts in Wyoming are, ”

”all water rights registered after 1888 could be restricted or even cut off.”

”The Giant Stone River Heritage Farm still retains the right to withdraw all the water legally permitted!”

”According to the flow monitoring data of the past decade, during the driest August, the total flow of the Giant Stone River falls to at least 300 cubic feet per second.”

”And according to our water rights permit, we have the right to withdraw 60 cubic feet of that, which is 20% of the total flow.”
