King of the Wilderness

Chapter 567: Chapter 292: An Epic Journey! (Part 2)

Honey and Whiskey were excitedly rolling around and frolicking at his feet, expressing their longing in the purest way.

Under the sunshine, on the Ice River, the family embraced each other tightly.

That evening, in front of the fireplace.

Lin Yu’an told his two wives in detail about everything that had happened in those short seven days.

From thrilling flight training to interacting with December and Amber, and then to a new reflection on ”freedom.”

Of course, he also laid out his grand plan about the shelter and the animal kingdom.

”So, Lawyer Matty is already helping us handle all legal and tax issues, everything is in the final stages. The next step is to go on a field trip to our future homeland. I’ve already scheduled a time with the real estate agent Arthur.”

”When are we leaving?” Aliya couldn’t wait any longer, her eyes shimmering with endless yearning for that kingdom.

”Tomorrow.” Lin Yu’an’s answer was crisp and clear.

”Tomorrow?!” Both Aliya and Emily were stunned, ”So soon?”

”Yes.” Lin Yu’an nodded, ”All the preparations have already been simultaneously carried out while I was still in Anchorage.”

”So...how do we get there?” The more meticulous Emily immediately raised the most practical question.

”Are we flying our plane? Flying from here to Wyoming, we have to pass through Canadian airspace. Applying for cross-border flight permits and handling customs procedures, all of these take time, and also...”

Her gaze turned to the cradle where the two babies were sleeping soundly, her voice filled with concern, ”A flight lasting more than ten hours...can the kids handle it? The aircraft noise and pressure...”

Lin Yu’an gave her an approving look and then smiled confidently.

”So, before I answer the route question, let you see the special preparations I’ve made for this trip.”

He walked to the side and took out a tablet, ”While in Anchorage, I commissioned a local aircraft modification team to give our plane a baby-safe special upgrade.”

He presented a product image: ”First, to solve the noise problem, I’ve ordered four sets of professional-grade aviation noise-cancelling headphones from Peltor, two adult versions, and two children’s versions.”

”These headphones not only actively cancel out the low-frequency roar of the engine and protect hearing, but also have a special feature.”

”It can connect to the aircraft’s internal communication system. This means that during the flight, we can communicate clearly like now, and I can also play lullabies for the kids at any time so they can hear our voices and feel at ease.”

”Secondly, there’s the issue of pressure. I will keep the cruising altitude below ten thousand feet to minimize drastic pressure changes.”

Finally, he showed a modified cabin design drawing, ”To make the long journey more comfortable for the kids, I had the rear seats of the cabin modified.”

”Those two independent luxury seats can now be fully reclined and connected with the middle aisle, forming a flat area wrapped in soft material.”

”During the stable cruising phase of the flight, a blanket can be spread here to create a temporary in-flight play mat, allowing the kids to engage in limited safe activities under our supervision and stretch their bodies.”

He pointed to two prominent devices on the design drawing, ”But most importantly, two safety seat mounting points compliant with ISOFIX standards have been installed on the floor of this area.”

”The two specially ordered aviation safety seats for the kids will be securely fixed to the cabin floor, like racing seats.”

He looked gently at his two partners, who were now completely reassured, and said, ”In short, on this journey, I will be your captain, your navigator, your guide...”

”But most importantly, I will always be the children’s safety officer.”

”I will never let them face any avoidable risks on my plane.”

Seeing these meticulous preparations, even considering details like lulling the kids to sleep, the last bit of worry in Aliya and Emily’s hearts vanished.

Lin Yu’an, smiling, walked to the large North American map and picked up a red marker, ”Then there’s the route. I’ve prepared all the logistical support needed for long-distance transoceanic flights.”

”We don’t need to deal with the Canadians. Not because we’re afraid of trouble, but because I’ve conceived a far more magnificent route than crossing Canada.”

His pen tip didn’t head east-southeast towards Canada from Wiseman Point in central Alaska. Instead, it drew a beautiful arc all the way south along the glacier and fjord-filled coastline of Alaska Bay.

”I’ve calculated that direct flying from here to Wyoming would take about thirteen hours. Carrying the kids, it’s impossible to complete it in one day. So, I’ve split the trip into two days.”

He pointed at two points on the map, ”On the first day, we’ll take off from the river in front of our home, with the first stop at Fairbanks for resupply, flying south first.”

”Landing in Juneau at noon, we can refuel and rest there, I’ve booked the best local restaurant, and we can try the freshest king crab for lunch. From there, our epic journey officially begins.”
