King of the Wilderness

Chapter 587: Chapter 298: The Farm’s Origins and Doubts (Part 2)

Lin Yu’an slightly nodded, a look of satisfaction appearing on his face at the highly satisfactory security setup.

This system did not blindly pursue full coverage but employed top-tier resources in the most critical areas, both efficient and lethal.

Arthur turned off the projector, and the room brightened. He respectfully pushed the leather folder with detailed data in front of Lin Yu’an.

”So, sir, what you have purchased is far more than just land and business.”

”It’s a fully healthy top-tier ecosystem that has been meticulously safeguarded for decades, along with king-like privileges stemming from Jianzhou’s accolades!”

His voice carried a hint of relief and excitement as he concluded, ”This, sir, is what you now own, the entirety of the Giant Stone River Heritage Farm.”

”According to the latest financial calculations, after excluding the high maintenance cost of the previous owner’s private vehicles, the ranch’s total annual expenditure is estimated at approximately 9.6 million US Dollars.”

”And with annual revenues steadily exceeding 12 million US Dollars, it’s an extremely healthy, highly profitable top-tier asset with immense intangible value.”

At this moment, Arthur seemed to remember something and, with a slightly apologetic tone, added,

”Sir, pardon my impertinence, but there is another aspect of your future quality of life for which I would like to offer a professional suggestion.”

”Oh?” Lin Yu’an lifted his head, signaling him to continue.

Arthur explained, ”It’s about the position of the chief butler. The person previously responsible for overseeing all internal service teams was Mr. Hunter’s private butler, hired from the United Kingdom.”

”Mr. Philip was an exceptionally outstanding old-school butler trained at Buckingham Palace. However, after the transition was completed, out of loyalty to Mr. Hunter, he chose to leave with the old master.”

”So currently, this critically important position is vacant.”

Arthur began to detail the significance of this position.

”Sir, the role of a top-tier butler far exceeds that of an ordinary estate manager.”

”The responsibilities of Mrs. Gable, the estate manager, lean more toward execution and daily internal management to ensure everything runs smoothly.”

”Whereas a chief butler is akin to your court chancellor and social minister.

His duties include planning and arranging private banquets and charitable events befitting your status, as well as managing your social calendar.

He is responsible for handling all external media relations, maintaining the family’s public image.

He devises and supervises the annual budget of the entire estate, ensuring every cent is spent elegantly and efficiently.

He represents you in liaising and communicating with top suppliers, artists, and dignitaries from around the world.”

”Simply put, Mrs. Gable ensures your life is comfortable, while a chief butler ensures your status is prestigious.”

”An estate like Giant Stone River, in the long run, cannot be without a well-suited chief butler.”

”My suggestion is that once you have adapted to the lifestyle here, you might consider initiating a global recruitment process to find an aide who can fully understand and execute your will.”

Lin Yu’an quietly listened to his suggestion, nodding slightly after a moment.

”I understand. I will consider this matter.”

Lin Yu’an spent twenty minutes, his fingertips quietly tracing over the thick report.

As his gaze swept over the complex financial statements, operational data, and personnel structures, it was as if they were automatically deconstructed, analyzed, and then reassembled in his mind into a complete blueprint of an empire.

When he closed the folder, every detail of the ranch was already clear in his mind.

Aliya and Emily listened quietly beside him, their faces already filled with awe.

They knew Lin Yu’an had bought a large ranch, but it was not until this moment that they truly understood what kind of vast kingdom they had become the mistresses of.

The study room fell into a long silence.

Lin Yu’an’s fingers gently caressed the heavy folder, its cover marked with the emblem of the ranch.

An eagle perched on a giant stone. It was the first time he had such an intuitively deep understanding of the entire texture of the land beneath his feet.

It was older, more profound, and more... perfect than he had imagined.

Everything here, from the 1892 Warrior Charter to the non-GMO corn seeds, to the catch-and-release fly hooks,

all revealed the almost obsessive Guardian-like philosophy of former owner Hunter Rockefeller.

A massive question arose in his mind, unable to be suppressed any longer.

Lin Yu’an looked up, his gaze sharp as he focused on the top real estate agent.

”Arthur, one last question. Such a perfect piece of art, a kingdom guarded as life and legacy. Why did Mr. Hunter decide to sell?”

Arthur maintained his eternally professional and composed expression, silent for a moment, seemingly considering something.

Finally, he spoke in a low and respectful tone, ”Sir, because... the inheritance of the Rockefeller family has come to an end.”

”Mr. Hunter, a proud man throughout his life, had four equally outstanding children, three sons and one daughter.”

”They all grew up on this land, each inheriting Mr. Hunter’s love for nature and sense of responsibility for this land.”

Arthur’s eyes were already filled with regret, ”But fate has been all too cruel to this old man.”
