The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 240: Chapter 239: Making Inquiries

Fei Erya heard this and couldn’t help but say, ”You must be talking about Yiyi. She just finished her meal and went back.”

”Yes, that’s her. You two really have a good relationship.”

”We’ve been old classmates, so naturally, our relationship is good.” Speaking of Yiyi, Fei Erya’s face was full of smiles, and even her expression softened, making her already beautiful face even more captivating.

Fan Qianshu was somewhat taken aback seeing Fei Erya like this.

Though he always knew Mo Yiyi’s friend was very pretty, he hadn’t expected her smile to be so charming.

However, having seen his own appearance a lot, Fan Qianshu didn’t pay much attention to others’ looks. After a moment, he regained his composure and continued, ”When did you two become classmates?”

”In high school.”

Fei Erya replied with a smile, then asked, ”Why did you suddenly start asking about us?”

”Oh, it’s nothing. I’m just curious, especially since you two saved me last time. I haven’t properly thanked you yet, so I thought I’d ask more about you, learn your preferences, and find a way to thank you.”

Fei Erya hurriedly replied, ”Really, there’s no need for that. It was just a coincidence, and besides, anyone who saw would have helped.”

Fan Qianshu smiled and said, ”It might have been a coincidence for you, but it was a great favor to me. However, I find it hard to ask your friend directly because I’ve heard she already has someone. It’s Gu Tingyu from the Gu Family in Shangjing, and I’m afraid talking alone might cause misunderstandings.”

”Eh... Even you know about it.”

Fei Erya was somewhat surprised, as Yiyi’s relationship was not explicitly announced.

Fan Qianshu’s eyes flashed slightly, then he smiled and said, ”The Gu Family is quite prominent in Shangjing, and naturally, their eldest grandson having a partner would draw a lot of attention.”

Hearing this, Fei Erya was a bit astonished.

Although she had already met Gu Tingyu, she hadn’t realized his family held such status.

At this point, Fan Qianshu had finished his meal. He stood up, paid, and left directly.

On the other side, Yiyi returned to her dorm, changed into comfortable home clothes, and started reading. But before long, An Xueqing came back. Upon seeing Yiyi, she was delighted, ”Yiyi, you’re back from outside. I wanted to talk to you about something.”

Yiyi heard this, looked up at her, and said, ”What is it?”

”Yiyi, I know most of the costumes in the drama group are designed and made by your aunt. So... could your aunt make my costume according to my measurements for that play? That way it’ll fit better.”

Hearing this from An Xueqing, Yiyi couldn’t help but laugh and said, ”Don’t worry, all costumes are made according to the actors’ measurements, so there won’t be any sizing issues. But if it’s convenient, you can go directly to the costume shop with me sometime and have my mom measure your size; that’ll save some effort.”

”Sure, I’ll go with you this weekend when you go home.”

Yiyi nodded and said, ”Okay, but bring Feng Yudan too, since both of you are in the same drama group.”

Hearing this, An Xueqing paused for a moment, then just nodded and agreed, ”Alright, then we’ll go together.”

Seeing An Xueqing like this, Yiyi couldn’t help but furrow her brows slightly, as it seemed there was indeed some discord between the two.

When she met Feng Yudan, Yiyi asked a few questions.

”Yudan, you and Xueqing haven’t been talking much lately. Did you have a fight?”

Feng Yudan sighed and said, ”We didn’t fight, but every time I speak to Xueqing, she ignores me, so there’s less and less conversation between us.”

By the end, Feng Yudan seemed a bit upset.

”If I’d known, I wouldn’t have joined the drama group back then. Xueqing probably has issues with me because of this.”

Actually, Yiyi thought the same, but Feng Yudan hadn’t done anything wrong. So she said directly, ”Yudan, since they chose you and you wanted to join, go for it. It’s not your fault. It’s Xueqing who’s stuck in a dead end.”

Hearing Yiyi’s words, Feng Yudan felt markedly better, ”Yiyi, did I really not do anything wrong?”

”Of course.”

After talking a bit more, Feng Yudan’s mood improved significantly, ”Thank you, Yiyi. If it weren’t for your advice, I’d be brooding for who knows how long.”

”I was just stating the facts. By the way, this weekend Xueqing will come with me to the costume shop for my mom to measure her size. You should join us; your costume will fit better then.”

Upon hearing this, Feng Yudan naturally nodded.

When the weekend arrived, she called An Xueqing to go to the costume shop together.

An Xueqing was silent throughout the trip and didn’t communicate much with Feng Yudan. Although Feng Yudan wanted to lighten the mood, An Xueqing didn’t respond, so she stopped trying to talk.

When they arrived at the costume shop, Yiyi was already there.

”Xueqing, Yudan, you’re here. Come on in.”

Ding Yuejun, seeing her daughter’s two classmates, greeted them warmly, then measured their sizes.

Once they were finished, Yiyi invited them to eat some fruit.

But An Xueqing stood up and said, ”Yiyi, I plan to go back and study some more since once we start filming next week, I won’t have time to learn.” After saying that, she left directly.

Seeing An Xueqing like that, Feng Yudan couldn’t help but bite her lip and finally gave Yiyi a look, saying, ”Yiyi, I should go back too. We’ve already arranged with the teacher to take leave next week for filming. Fortunately, our roles are small, so it’ll probably be done within a little over a week.”

Seeing Feng Yudan leaving too, Yiyi couldn’t help but shake her head.

At this point, even Ding Yuejun noticed something was amiss.

”Yiyi, it seems your two classmates are having a disagreement.”

”Yes, it’s probably because Feng Yudan was also chosen.”

Ding Yuejun shook her head upon hearing this and then urged Yiyi to buy a gift.

”Alright, it’s hard to say who’s right or wrong in this matter. You should hurry and buy gifts; you can’t go empty-handed when visiting Tingyu’s godmother for dinner tomorrow.”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi smiled and nodded, ”Okay, I’ll go buy now.”

Previously, Song Xiaoqing had invited them, so they were going to visit tomorrow when Gu Tingyu had a day off.

But this time, they would be visiting as a couple.

The next day, Gu Tingyu came over early. Yiyi took the prepared gift and left with him for the Song Family.
