The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 223: Chapter 223: Agreement Reached

After Wang Bo and Old Li left, Ding Yuejun was a little worried.

”Yiyi, do you think Suxin and your uncle’s side can really take our order? What if we agree to the clients, but can’t produce the clothes on our end?”

”Mom, don’t worry. Aunt Yin’s company has always been in garment production, and Uncle’s factory excels at embroidery. As long as we design and pattern the clothes well, their factory will definitely be able to produce them.”

Hearing this from her daughter, Ding Yuejun stopped worrying.

”Yes, definitely no problem. Now I’ll think about the clothing styles first, so that if we confirm, we won’t be in a hurry.”

Seeing her mother full of enthusiasm, Yiyi couldn’t help but smile and then went to help too. Even though she couldn’t draw the clothing patterns, she could at least pass paper and pens.

At this moment, Ding Yuejun was full of energy and particularly inspired, and it didn’t take long for her to draw two beautiful dresses.

”Mom, these two dresses look beautiful.”

Upon hearing this, Ding Yuejun couldn’t help but smile, ”As long as you think they’re beautiful. I’ll think of other styles tomorrow.” Then she patted her forehead and said, ”I’d better go talk to your uncle and Aunt Yin about the situation tomorrow, to see if we can really have the clothes mass-produced at their factory.”

The next day, Ding Yuejun went to the Chu family early in the morning.

”Yue Jun, how come you have time to visit today? Your boutique just opened and business is so good, why aren’t you at the store?” Mr. Chu Zhang smiled when he saw Ding Yuejun. He, along with his son and daughter-in-law, had attended the grand opening of the boutique yesterday and witnessed the talents of his niece. It turns out Yue Jun wasn’t only good at embroidery but also in fashion design.

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun quickly explained her purpose, finally asking, ”Uncle, can the Chu family’s factory help produce this order?” As she spoke, she handed the two design sketches she had drawn yesterday to Mr. Chu.

Mr. Chu looked at the designs and nodded approvingly, ”Not bad, they look very nice.”

Upon hearing the praise, Ding Yuejun felt a bit shy, ”I just thought of them and drew them.”

”It seems you have a talent in this area. Don’t worry; the Chu family’s factory can mass-produce these clothes, though the embroidery will probably need to be hand-stitched.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun frowned slightly.

”That’s exactly what I’m worried about. I’m afraid I can’t handle it all by myself.”

Seeing this, Mr. Chu said, ”Actually, for those simpler embroidery tasks, we have specialists at the Chu family, but for the more complicated parts, you’ll have to do them yourself.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun quickly replied with a smile, ”Thank you, Uncle. I’ll handle the complex parts myself, and leave the simpler areas to others.”

”Alright, then we’ll settle it like this.”

After discussing everything, Ding Yuejun brought up the topic of the order fee with Mr. Chu.

”Yue Jun, why are we even discussing this between us?”

Upon hearing this, Ding Yuejun quickly said, ”Uncle, even among family, accounts should be clear. We should sort out the fees properly.”

”Then let’s talk about it once this order is confirmed.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun nodded, ”Okay, we can discuss it further then. Since the factory in the Chu family can mass-produce, I don’t need to bother Suxin.”

Hearing this, Mr. Chu replied, ”No worries, our family’s factory can handle it. You don’t need to bother the Yin family. Now that the Yan family has returned to being the Yin family, they are probably busy and might not have time for such a small order.”

This was something Ding Yuejun had also considered, so having Mr. Chu’s side solve it directly was the best solution.

After finalizing the details, Ding Yuejun promptly returned to the store.

To her surprise, when she arrived at the boutique, someone was already waiting at the door.

”Boss Ding, you’re finally here.”

Old Li greeted Ding Yuejun with a smile as he approached.

”Sorry to keep you waiting. Come in, please,” said Ding Yuejun as she opened the door, ”I didn’t expect you would come so early. I had some matters to attend to this morning, so I’m a little late.”

Hearing this, Old Li quickly responded, ”We just got here as well.”

After they all sat down, Old Li introduced, ”This is Qin Aimin, the head of our production team’s costume department. He came by today to have a look at the clothes.”

Upon hearing this, Ding Yuejun quickly led them to see the sample clothes.

Luckily, there weren’t many people today, so Ding Yuejun could manage on her own.

Qin Aimin examined carefully and praised the embroidery on the clothes, ”It’s beautiful. If we use these as theatrical costumes, they’ll definitely have great texture. But what’s the lowest price you can offer us for these clothes?”

Ding Yuejun had already considered these matters. Although Qin Aimin and the crew were buying in bulk, the cost couldn’t be too low; hand-embroidered items were not cheap after all, and the factory’s production costs needed to be covered. ”It really depends on the complexity of the embroidery. Less embroidery would mean a lower cost, but more complex and elaborate designs would be pricier.”

”How much would it cost for you to make a dress like this?”

As he spoke, Qin Aimin pulled a sample drawing from his briefcase.

Seeing the bright red phoenix coronet and wedding robe on the blueprint, Ding Yuejun thought for a moment and said, ”If you want this wedding dress made, it would be at least 3,500. The embroidery on the dress isn’t easy, and this already counts as a discounted rate given the large quantity.”

Old Li exclaimed, ”Why don’t you just go rob someone?”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun raised an eyebrow and said, ”I think you might not understand the value of embroidery. If you think it’s too expensive, you can find someone else. I’m not desperate for this business.” Without this order, she might earn less, but she would also have much less work and could focus on completing her personal orders.

”You...”

Old Li didn’t expect Ding Yuejun to say this, thinking she would lower the price.

However, Qin Aimin nodded at Ding Yuejun and said, ”The price is indeed justifiable. What about the prices for other clothes?”

”If no embroidery is needed, I charge a hundred per piece because I use only the best materials. If embroidery is needed, the price depends on the complexity and amount of embroidery.”

Hearing this, Old Li whispered in Qin Aimin’s ear, ”Aimin, it’s too expensive, our budget isn’t enough. Let’s look at other boutiques.”

Yet Qin Aimin immediately nodded, ”Alright, let’s sign an agreement then. I’ll provide you with some clothing styles, but some might require your own creativity.”

”Aimin...”

Old Li tried to stop Qin Aimin, but it was too late.

And Ding Yuejun handed the two sketches she had drawn to Qin Aimin, saying: ”These are the ones I drew before. See if they meet your requirements.”
