The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 226: Chapter 225: Tripped

(Do not order, the timed release system made a mistake, and the same content was posted twice at the same time) Hearing what Tao Cuizhu said, Yiyi smiled and said, ”This place is pretty nice, especially since you guys have put in a lot of effort this time, of course, I need to treat you to a good meal.”

Although Yiyi said so, when others ordered dishes, they didn’t choose expensive ones. In the end, Yiyi couldn’t stand it anymore and ordered several substantial dishes.

”Yiyi, that’s enough; we can’t finish more than this.”

Seeing Yiyi ordering roast duck, sweet and sour ribs, steamed bass, and garlic crab and still wanting to order more, Tao Cuizhu quickly stopped her.

Wei Xiwen also said on the side: ”Yeah, Yiyi, with so much food, we won’t be able to finish it, and it would be a waste.”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi finally stopped ordering.

While waiting for the food, An Xueqing, a bit curious, looked at Yiyi and asked, ”Yiyi, do you know what kind of play that crew is shooting?”

”Not very clear, I only know it’s a drama set in the Republican era.”

Hearing this, An Xueqing couldn’t help but nod, a bit contemplative.

Cao Panpan saw this and couldn’t help asking: ”Xueqing, why do you ask, are you really interested in acting?”

An Xueqing didn’t speak, just nodded slightly.

Tao Cuizhu felt a bit embarrassed seeing this, ”Xueqing, if I had known that agent was asking, I wouldn’t have been so dismissive. You should have spoken up then.”

”It’s okay; I didn’t have any ideas back then. It’s just been these past two days that I’ve been interested.”

Hearing this, Yiyi was truly surprised.

She didn’t expect An Xueqing from the dorm to have thoughts of becoming an actress. Although she hadn’t interacted much with An Xueqing, the impression she had of this girl was quiet and not very talkative, looks not particularly outstanding in the dorm, just pretty in a plain way. She originally thought An Xueqing would be a quiet girl who didn’t like too much fuss, but out of all of them, she was the one with this idea.

”Next time if the crew comes to the store to discuss costumes, I’ll ask for you.”

Upon hearing this, An Xueqing smiled at Yiyi and said, ”Thank you so much.”

”No need to thank me, it’s just a small favor, but I’m not sure if the crew needs people, I can only ask.”

An Xueqing quickly said, ”Regardless, thank you, Yiyi, it’s already great that you’re willing to ask.”

Seeing that An Xueqing indeed had thoughts about acting, Tao Cuizhu couldn’t help but say: ”Xueqing, if the crew really needs someone, are you going to act? What about your studies? We’ve all worked so hard to get into college, you can’t neglect the basics.”

In Tao Cuizhu’s eyes, nothing is more important than studying.

As a rural girl, she managed to get into college with great difficulty, hoping it could change her life, so naturally, she didn’t want to see An Xueqing give up her studies for acting.

”Dorm leader, rest assured, I won’t neglect my studies.”

”But...”

Tao Cuizhu was about to say that one couldn’t focus on two things at once, but sitting beside her, Cao Panpan tugged at her, interrupting her words.

At this time, the dishes were gradually brought over, and Yiyi quickly beckoned everyone to start eating.

Looking at the delicious dishes in front of her, Tao Cuizhu didn’t feel like talking anymore and eagerly picked up a sweet and sour rib to eat. After swallowing the meat in her mouth, she couldn’t help but say, ”It’s so delicious.”

”Dorm leader, eat more then.”

”Alright.”

Tao Cuizhu nodded happily; she had never tasted such delicious food and wished she could eat more of everything, but she stopped eating after feeling seventy percent full.

Seeing this, Cao Panpan couldn’t help but ask, ”Dorm leader, why aren’t you eating? Keep going.”

”No, I’ve had enough.”

Recalling Tao Cuizhu’s eating rules, Cao Panpan couldn’t help but sigh, ”Dorm leader, it’s a rare occasion to eat out, why stick to the rule of eating just until seventy percent full?”

”Eating too much is bad for the stomach.”

Not only Cao Panpan but even Wei Xiwen looked at Tao Cuizhu with a bit of disbelief and said, ”Dorm leader, you really are self-disciplined, I can’t do it. Seeing so much delicious food, I have to eat until I’m full.”

After arguing with Yiyi earlier, she had changed her previous mindset, now paying more attention in class and truly learning more. Naturally, she knew that overeating was harmful to the stomach and that it’s best to eat until seventy percent full each time, but to actually do it is tough, given all the delicious food, yet Tao Cuizhu was persistent, leaving one both exasperated and impressed.

Even Yiyi looked at Tao Cuizhu with a bit of interest, finally laughing and saying: ”It’s really great that the dorm leader has such self-control, eating until you’re too full is uncomfortable.”

While they were chatting and laughing, two more people entered at the door. Yiyi happened to glance over and, unexpectedly, recognized one of them as Shu Yunfang whom she had seen before.

Yiyi could recognize Shu Yunfang because this woman liked Gu Tingyu, so she left a deep impression, but as for the woman beside Shu Yunfang, a gentle middle-aged lady, she didn’t recognize her, guessing she might be Shu Yunfang’s mother.

Shu Yunfang naturally recognized Yiyi as well and turned to whisper to the middle-aged woman beside her, deliberately glancing in Yiyi’s direction.

Yiyi was a bit puzzled but didn’t pay much mind.

Beside Shu Yunfang stood none other than Gu Tingyu’s mother, Yu Qiulan. At this moment, under Shu Yunfang’s guidance, she noticed Yiyi and frowned slightly.

”Is that Tingyu’s girlfriend? She’s quite pretty, but her manners leave something to be desired...”

She still believed Shu Yunfang was the best choice for a daughter-in-law, but she didn’t understand what the old master and old lady were thinking, as they didn’t approve of her idea and even scolded her before.

”Aunt Yu, let’s sit over there. I already reserved in advance and ordered the dishes you like.”

Hearing this, Yu Qiulan’s face was full of smiles.

”You’re still the most considerate, thinking of everything, let’s take our time to enjoy later.”

Shu Yunfang walked forward with a smiling face alongside Yu Qiulan, inevitably approaching the table where Yiyi and the others were sitting. Just then, a waiter carrying dishes walked by, and while Shu Yunfang was trying to avoid, she accidentally swayed, causing the waiter to stumble, and the dish in his hand flew straight towards Yiyi’s face.

”Ah... Yiyi, watch out.”

Several people sitting next to Yiyi couldn’t help but exclaim.

Yiyi frowned and glanced at Shu Yunfang, then steadily caught the dish without spilling even a drop of sauce.

”Sorry, sorry, are you okay?”

The waiter was full of apologies, repeatedly apologizing.

Yiyi waved her hand and said, ”It’s okay, just be more careful next time, don’t get tripped up by people.” Saying this, she gave Shu Yunfang a deep look.
