The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 213: Chapter 213: The Strange Boy

Hearing Old Mrs. Gu’s words, Gu Tingting felt a bit happy. It seemed that her uncle and aunt hadn’t met Mo Yiyi yet, but soon she was quite annoyed. Originally, only her grandparents had met this so-called sister-in-law, but now her grandmother wanted the whole family to meet Mo Yiyi because of her words.

”Grandma, my uncle and dad are so busy. Let’s discuss meeting later.”

Old Mrs. Gu responded directly, ”No matter how busy they are, they need to make time for me. Isn’t our Yiyi busy as well?”

Hearing Old Mrs. Gu’s protective words, Yiyi couldn’t help but laugh, ”Grandma, actually...”

However, before Yiyi could finish her sentence, Old Mrs. Gu interrupted, ”Yiyi, I know you’re worried they can’t make time, but don’t worry, I’ll inform them about this. Once we confirm when Tingyu is available, we’ll schedule it for that day.”

Seeing that the old lady had already decided, Yiyi didn’t say more.

However, Gu Tingting was visibly anxious, ”Grandma, Brother Tingyu is so busy. He surely won’t have time lately.”

”You don’t need to worry about this. Alright, since you rushed back to have dinner, just eat your meal.” Old Mrs. Gu said, glancing at her little granddaughter who brought up such things again.

Seeing this, Gu Tingting didn’t say more and hurried to find Shu Yunfang after finishing her meal.

”Yunfang, I’ve found out that Mo Yiyi has only met my grandparents and neither my uncle nor my aunt. But my grandma has decided to find a time for our whole family to get together and meet her.”

Upon hearing this, Shu Yunfang’s eyebrows furrowed.

”I don’t know what Aunt Yu thinks of Mo Yiyi. If your uncle and aunt like her, this matter will be set in stone.”

Seeing her friend worried, Gu Tingting quickly comforted her, ”Yunfang, don’t worry. Mo Yiyi simply can’t compare to you. My uncle and aunt will definitely prefer you.”

These words eased Shu Yunfang’s expression a little.

On the other side, after finishing her meal, Yiyi also bid farewell to Old Mrs. Gu, ”Grandma, I’ll head back now.”

Even though Old Mrs. Gu wanted to keep Yiyi to chat longer, she realized that Yiyi must be busy and waved her hand, ”Alright, you should head back. Come over if you have time next weekend.”

Yiyi nodded with a smile.

However, thinking of her mother’s shop that needed renovation, she wasn’t in a hurry to go back and planned to find a good renovation company.

However, there weren’t many renovation companies nowadays, and even after asking for a long time, she hadn’t found any good places.

”Yiyi...”

As Yiyi was about to return, she heard someone calling her from behind. Turning around, she surprisingly saw Wu Yongcai.

”Boss Wu, what a coincidence.”

”It really is you, Yiyi. What are you doing here?” Wu Yongcai initially thought he had mistaken someone else for Mo Yiyi.

”I’m studying at a university here, so my mother and I moved to Shangjing. I took the weekend to stroll around the street today.”

Hearing this, Wu Yongcai was quite surprised.

”Turns out you and your mother both moved to Shangjing. Why didn’t you inform me? I could have given you a welcoming party.”

Yiyi replied with a smile, ”Thank you, Boss Wu, but it’s not necessary.”

”It’s no trouble at all. So what are you shopping for on the street? Planning to buy something?”

Yiyi shook her head, ”I am looking for a renovation company. Since my mother moved here with me, she plans to open a clothing store here, so the new store needs renovation.”

”Oh, that’s it. If you trust me, I can introduce a renovation company to you. I had them renovate my shop before, and they did a pretty good job.”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi quickly nodded and said, ”Really? Then, thanks a lot, Boss Wu.”

”No need to thank me. Your mother’s craftsmanship is excellent, and I’m sure the business will be successful.”

While speaking, Wu Yongcai couldn’t help but ask, ”By the way, where is your mother’s store located? If it’s convenient, why don’t you take me there to have a look?”

Hearing this, Yiyi naturally took Wu Yongcai to the newly leased store.

After viewing it, Wu Yongcai nodded and said, ”This location is not bad. With a good renovation, it can be opened directly.”

”Yes, once the renovation is done and the smell dissipates, it can open immediately.”

After seeing the store, Wu Yongcai checked the time and said, ”Why don’t I bring the person in charge of the renovation company over tomorrow? Do you have time?”

Yiyi quickly nodded and said, ”I have time. Then I’ll trouble you, Boss Wu. Let’s meet here at eight tomorrow morning.”

”Sure.”

After speaking, the two waved goodbye.

Feeling good after settling the renovation matter, Yiyi wasn’t too happy when she reached a corner and saw someone bullying a boy.

”What are you doing?”

Hearing her, the group of bullies turned and saw Yiyi, and one of them raised an eyebrow, ”You better mind your own business, woman. This kid bumped into us and didn’t apologize, so we need to teach him a lesson.”

Yiyi glanced at the boy squatting on the ground, her brow furrowing slightly.

”Even if you need to teach him a lesson, you’ve already gone far enough. Can’t you see he’s already bleeding from your beating?”

”Hmph... It’s not enough, of course.”

The leader spoke, ready to make another move. Seeing this, Yiyi directly kicked him, ”I said that’s enough.”

”You... how dare you kick our boss, woman?”

The other youths swarmed towards Yiyi.

Facing a group of delinquents, Yiyi had no hesitation in knocking them all down. Lastly, she looked at the boy curled up in the corner and said, ”Hurry up and leave.”

The boy heard her, stood up, and walked away silently.

Watching this, Yiyi quickly hurried home, but soon realized she had a little follower behind her, ”Why are you following me?”

The follower turned out to be the boy who had just been beaten.

But the boy didn’t say a word and just followed her quietly.

”Where is your home? Let me walk you back.”

At this point, the boy finally spoke, ”I don’t have a home.”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi frowned tightly, ”Then where did you live before?” The boy didn’t look like a drifter. The quality of his clothes was excellent, clearly expensive, and despite the bruises, he still looked handsome and fair, lacking the weathered appearance of someone roughing it out.

But again, the boy didn’t speak.
