Super Rich by Doing as You Please

When Yang Siqi saw him, she approached and said, ”Chen Xin’s stream is live. She has over 300 people watching. Right now, she’s just chatting with them, saying she’s only participating in the Carnival event for fun.”

”Have you started promoting the stream?”

”Not yet.”

”Start paying to promote it now. Push it to the max.”

”Understood.”

As soon as Xu Yun gave the order, Yang Siqi immediately had her team get to work.

Since she ran her own e-commerce live streaming channel, she already had an experienced online team that handled things with great proficiency.

A short while later, thanks to the magic of money, Chen Xin’s stream was flooded with traffic. Her viewer count stabilized at around 3,000.

Xu Yun also pulled out his phone and secretly slipped into the stream.

In a bedroom in Jiang County, Chen Xin—who had started a stream to chat after finishing her writing for the day—was completely baffled as she watched her viewer count steadily climb.

She mumbled to herself on stream, ”What’s going on? Why are there so many people all of a sudden?”

”Streamer, you’re probably being promoted.”

Comments kept popping up, answering her question.

”I just randomly scrolled onto your stream and got hooked. Can’t leave now.”

”Same here.”

”I remember that participating in the Carnival event comes with traffic support.”

”That’s true. Streamer, you’re in the regional top 100 now. The platform is probably giving you some traffic.”

Chen Xin asked in confusion, ”How did I get in? How come I didn’t know?”

”Hua Zhu, you really need to pay more attention.”

One of her novel fans in the stream explained, ”Did you forget that some whale came into your stream yesterday and spammed 100 Carnivals?”

”Oh, right.”

Chen Xin subconsciously glanced at her fan ranking. That person wasn’t there today.

She had been completely blindsided by the sudden flood of gifts yesterday, but it was a pleasant surprise. After the platform’s cut and taxes, she had still earned 100,000.

After the stream ended, Chen Xin was dying to tell Xu Yun the good news—that she could make money from streaming now, and that merchants were even approaching her for e-commerce partnerships.

But in the end, she held back.

She wanted to wait until she had earned a little more. When Xu Yun came back for the New Year, she would tell him then and give him a huge surprise.

”To all my generous patrons...”

Chen Xin shyly mimicked the language she’d heard on other streams. ”There’s a little shopping cart icon below. If anyone needs fitness equipment, feel free to take a look and maybe place an order or two. Thank you.”

Surprisingly, some people really fell for her socially awkward, shy, and inexperienced sales pitch.

Orders started rolling in.

Even though most people were only buying the cheaper dumbbells, for Chen Xin, it was at least a good start and a sign of progress.

”Look at that. She’s working so hard to sell equipment for you.”

Xu Yun turned to Yang Siqi and smiled. ”Boss Yang, aren’t you going to go in there and gift a couple of Carnivals?”

”...”

Looking a little resigned, Yang Siqi logged into her own account, went into the stream, and gifted two Carnivals, immediately landing her at the top of the rankings.

”Thank you, Sister Yang,” Chen Xin said, overjoyed to see the sudden Carnivals.

’There are so many rich people online,’ she couldn’t help but think. ’They just toss out Carnivals for no reason. I didn’t even do anything.’

’No wonder so many people would rather stream than get a regular job.’

Yang Siqi’s account name was simply ”Sister Yang.”

This account would be the main one used later.

Yang Siqi said, ”In a bit, I’ll have my streamer challenge her to a PK battle. Then I’ll start spamming Carnivals to push her into the top five of our regional bracket.”

This was because any streamer whose total points placed them in the top five of their regional bracket would get to attend the platform’s live Carnival Night and walk the red carpet.

The last time Xu Yun had heard about this event, he had decided he would use his money to crown Chen Xin the champion.

It was her first time trying to stream; of course he had to support her.

’No audience? So what?’

’I have money!’

’A man has to spoil his own woman!’

”Forget the top five in the region. Push her to number one in the whole country.”

Xu Yun said nonchalantly, ”If we’re going to do this, we go for number one. Top five in the region? I can’t afford that kind of embarrassment.”

”Okay.”

Yang Siqi was stunned for a moment. Then she said, ”In that case, the money I have prepared probably isn’t enough. I’ll need to add more.”

”How much more do you need?”

Yang Siqi replied, ”Based on last year’s data, a lot of the top streamers have agencies and wealthy patrons backing them, so the competition is fierce. I estimate we’ll need no less than 50 million to have a solid chance.”

”I’ll give you 100 million right now. Go spend it.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”Let’s show these so-called top agencies and big-name streamers what it really means to have a whale’s support.”

Yang Siqi was speechless.

Unbelievable. He was about to drop 100 million just to buy Chen Xin a chance to walk the red carpet.

As she reeled from the shock, she couldn’t help but compare herself to Chen Xin.

’If I were in Chen Xin’s shoes today, would he spend money on me so unhesitatingly?’

’Probably not,’ she thought.

After all, this was 100 million.
