Chapter 711: Chapter 314: Xu Yun: I’m Afraid of Heights, Not Brave Enough for High-Altitude Work

Ever since she had to work overtime and fly from Jiangcheng to Hong Kong Island, Wang Qing hadn’t seen Xu Yun or the others again.

She had no idea when Xu Yun was returning either.

When she wasn’t flying, she was bored but also free.

Still, she had been treated exceptionally well these past few days.

The entire flight crew had been put up in what was supposedly the best hotel on Hong Kong Island, with rooms costing tens of thousands a night, right on the edge of Victoria Harbor.

Every evening, she could admire the beautiful night view of Victoria Harbor all by herself.

Honestly, this kind of treatment was something she had previously only dreamed of.

She never thought she would achieve it just by becoming a flight attendant.

But she knew this was all because of Xu Yun. Flight attendants from other airlines would probably never receive such treatment.

She had done a little digging during this time. Setting aside everything else, just her salary alone was about twice that of a regular flight attendant.

Moreover, her social insurance and housing fund contributions were all paid at the highest possible standard.

‘With a job and salary like this,’ she thought, ‘after a few years, why would I need to cling to some big shot? I could become a rich, beautiful, successful woman myself.’

Wang Qing had a guilty conscience because of what happened with Huang Mengyao.

But Xu Yun’s impartial treatment was a genuine surprise, and she was grateful for it.

At the same time, the dramatic change in Xu Yun always made her feel as if the world wasn’t quite real.

Because when she first knew him, back when he was dating Huang Mengyao, his poverty was real. It didn’t seem like an act at all.

But now, his wealth was also real.

Sometimes, Wang Qing didn’t know which one was the real him.

A few days passed, and she enjoyed her time on Hong Kong Island, staying in the best hotel and spending her days visiting popular social media spots to check in and post on her feed, making sure everyone she knew saw it.

‘I, Wang Qing, have finally started living a life that others envy, all on my own terms.’

This included her former “best friend,” Huang Mengyao.

Although the two had a falling out, she hadn’t deleted her from her contacts. Every time she posted, she wanted Huang Mengyao to see how much she had changed.

‘You’ve fallen into darkness, while I’m walking toward the light.’

Just as she was about to head out and continue exploring Hong Kong Island, she received a call from the captain.

They were flying to Jiangcheng tonight.

That meant Xu Yun was going back tonight.

After receiving the call, Wang Qing immediately packed her luggage and hurried to the airport.

She couldn’t afford to make a single mistake in her job now.

Because Xu Yun had said that if he caught her messing up even once, he would fire her.

Arriving at the airport an hour early, Wang Qing arranged and tidied everything inside the plane. Once she was sure there were no issues, she quietly awaited Xu Yun’s arrival.

Finally, a little after 8 p.m., a luxury sedan drove toward them.

Wang Qing had seen this car before.

It was the same car that had picked up Xu Yun previously.

She had seen the woman, too. It was the same woman who had come for Xu Yun before.

The only difference was that there seemed to be another beautiful woman by Xu Yun’s side.

She used to think she was quite good-looking.

But after spending a few days around Xu Yun, she realized there were so many beautiful women in the world that she was nothing special.

After helping everyone board, she closed the cabin door.

The plane took off.

Wang Qing went around asking everyone for their preferences to prepare desserts and drinks.

This plane had everything, and all of it was the best of the best.

The water came in crystal bottles that cost several hundred yuan, the red wine was a top-shelf vintage that cost tens of thousands a bottle, and the champagne was no different.

Even a random piece of fruit from the refrigerator had a specific code and label.

Out of curiosity, she had once tried scanning a mango with her phone. The online price was over 300 yuan.

She had been utterly stunned.

Xino hadn’t known Xu Yun had a private jet, so she started looking around the moment she boarded.

She said with a laugh, “Xu Yun, this is my first time on a private jet. When did you buy it?”

“Not too long ago.”

Xu Yun said, “It was getting a little inconvenient to travel lately, so I just bought one.”

“How much was it?”

“A few hundred million.”

Xu Yun teased, “Why? You thinking of buying one too?”

“I could never afford it. I’ll just ride in yours.”

After a quick tour of the plane, Xino’s gaze fell on Wang Qing. She said meaningfully, “Xu Yun, you even found such a beautiful flight attendant.”

“Everyone appreciates beauty. I couldn’t exactly go looking for an ugly one, could I?”

“You have a point there.”

Xino asked with a smile, “But… you’re not planning on making her one of our ‘sisters,’ are you?”

“That’s hard to say.”

Xu Yun shook his head. “You know me. I have terrible self-control. I’m not like Old Lin, a modern-day Liu Xiahui, completely unflappable. If a beautiful woman so much as bats an eye at me, I’ll fall for it.”

“Miss.”

Hearing this, Xino turned to Wang Qing and asked with a smile, “What’s your name?”

‘Since I can’t solve the problem of Xu Yun, I’ll just have to solve the person who might become a problem for him.’

“Ma’am, hello.”

Wang Qing replied, “My name is Wang Qing. The ‘Qing’ from ‘clear sunny skies.’”

‘Clear skies?’ Xino thought, instantly displeased. ‘What a terrible omen.’

“Wang Qing, is it?” she said. “Let me give you a heads-up. I can be very fierce. So don’t you go getting any funny ideas about your boss, or even think about seducing him. Otherwise, I’ll make you regret it.”
