Chapter 701: Chapter 310: This Guy Is Truly a God of Slaughter

Inside the villa.

Fu Baoying and Xino stared at the clock on the wall. Nearly an hour had passed since Xu Yun and Lin Wanzhou left.

Xino paced back and forth, her heart filled with a growing sense of worry.

‘What if something happened to Xu Yun and the others?’

She said, on the verge of tears, “Sister Fu, we can’t wait any longer. Why don’t we call the police now?”

“…”

Fu Baoying hesitated. This was already the third time Xino had said that.

She was just as worried and anxious, her heart anything but calm.

After a dozen or so seconds, she finally picked up her phone, ready to call the police and give them the address Xu Yun had sent her.

Just as she was about to dial the police, a roaring sound suddenly came from outside.

A car had returned.

“Could that be Xu Yun and the others?”

The moment she heard it, Xino ran to the door to see what was happening.

Fu Baoying quickly followed.

As the door swung open,

the two of them were met with a shocking sight they would never forget for the rest of their lives.

There was Xu Yun, climbing out of the car carrying what looked like a sleeping Xu Xiaozhi. He was covered in a garish, bright red that stung the eyes.

Lin Wanzhou stood beside him, also splattered with blood.

At that moment, the two of them looked as if they had just returned from Hell.

While the two women were still in shock, Xu Yun had already walked straight up to them, still carrying Xu Xiaozhi. He smiled and said, “I brought Xu Xiaozhi back for you.”

Fu Baoying numbly reached out and took the child.

“Are… are you okay?”

Fu Baoying wasn’t paying attention to the child in her arms. Her gaze was fixed on all the blood covering Xu Yun. Smelling the pungent, metallic scent, her hands began to tremble with fear.

She couldn’t tell if the blood belonged to others or to Xu Yun himself.

“I’m fine. I’m going to take a shower. I’m a little tired.”

With that, he walked into the house, went straight to the bathroom, and shut the door.

“Brother Lin.”

Xino, snapping out of her daze, was horrified by Xu Yun’s appearance. She asked tearfully, “Xu Yun… is he going to die?”

Compared to Xu Yun, Lin Wanzhou only had a few bloodstains on him.

He was, after all, an old hand at this and was more careful. Whenever he made a move, blood rarely splashed onto him.

In fact, much of the blood on him was his own, from injuries he had sustained while covering for the reckless Xu Yun.

“Don’t worry, he won’t die.”

With a complicated expression, Lin Wanzhou reassured Xino and Fu Baoying, adding, “Xiaozhi is fine too. She was just frightened. After a good night’s sleep, she’ll wake up tomorrow.”

“Thank you, Brother Lin.”

Fu Baoying said gratefully, “We owe you so much for tonight. I won’t forget this.”

“There’s no need for that between friends.”

Lin Wanzhou said, “I don’t suppose you have a first-aid kit, President Fu? I need to tend to my wounds.”

“Yes, we do. Please have a seat, Brother Lin. I’ll go get it right now.”

Fu Baoying carried Xu Xiaozhi upstairs, laid her down in her own bedroom, and then came back down with the first-aid kit.

Xino asked, “Brother Lin, do you need any help?”

“No, that’s alright.”

Lin Wanzhou took the first-aid kit, his expression complicated. “I can handle it myself. You two should go check on Xu Yun.”

…

In the bathroom, Xu Yun had filled the large tub to the brim with hot water.

Without taking anything off, he stepped right in and submerged his entire body, his brow furrowed and his eyes shut tight.

Images of the killings flashed repeatedly in his mind, delivering a powerful psychological blow, followed by waves of terror and fear.

His whole body trembled uncontrollably in the water.

When he had acted, he hadn’t thought about anything. He had run on pure rage, his subconscious controlling his body. It was as if that person hadn’t been him at all. Now that the taut string of tension had snapped, the physiological and psychological toll of killing for the first time was manifesting as a severe, instinctual revulsion. He had never imagined something so terrible would happen in his life.

Having reached the limit of how long he could hold his breath, Xu Yun shot upright in the water. An inexplicable cramp seized his stomach, and he felt incredibly sick.

He started to dry heave.

“BLECH! BLECH!”

Xino and Fu Baoying had just reached the bathroom door when they heard the commotion from inside.

They both turned pale with fright.

In a panic, Fu Baoying tried to open the bathroom door, only to find it was locked from the inside and wouldn’t budge.

“Xu Yun! Xu Yun!”

Fu Baoying pounded on the door, shouting, “What’s wrong? Open the door!”

“I’m fine, don’t worry about me,” Xu Yun’s weak voice came from inside, followed by more dry heaving.

“BLECH! BLECH! BLECH!”

“Xu Yun, you’re lying! Something’s definitely wrong!”

Terrified, Xino started crying again. “Don’t scare me like this! Please open the door and let us in, okay? I’m begging you.”

In the living room, Lin Wanzhou, who was halfway through treating his wounds, heard the commotion and rushed over at once.

When the two women saw him, it was like seeing their savior.

Xino immediately cried, “Brother Lin, something’s wrong with Xu Yun! You have to help us get in there and save him!”

The two women didn’t understand, but Lin Wanzhou knew what was happening with Xu Yun.

‘Even though Xu Yun looks terrifying, he doesn’t have any fatal or serious injuries—at most, just some minor knife wounds. Most of the blood on him belongs to other people.’

Lin Wanzhou recalled the situation from earlier, and even he felt a chill run down his spine.

‘That guy is a true god of slaughter. If we were to fight one-on-one, I’m sure I’d be the one to die!’
