Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Xino asked, ”Then why is he letting you tag along?”

”What are you talking about? We’re good brothers. Just because your brother and his friends won’t hang out with me, does that mean no one else will?”

Yan Can said smugly, ”Just you watch. Before you know it, you’ll all be calling me President Yan.”

Xino didn’t believe Yan Can. She knew exactly what kind of person he was.

But he had Xu Yun as a teammate.

It wasn’t out of the question that he might actually make some money and finally get on his feet.

Xino wasn’t interested in making money, but she was interested in Xu Yun.

’If I want to pursue him and get to know him, the first step is to get on the inside.’

Starting with a business partnership seemed like a pretty good way to do it.

By collaborating on work-related matters, their interactions would naturally become more frequent and seem perfectly reasonable.

’Maybe, over time, feelings will develop, and Xu Yun will fall for me.’

”Yan Can, are you guys still looking for people for this project?”

Xino asked with a smile, ”I want to join, too.”

”Uh, the project has already started.”

Yan Can replied, ”I’m heading to the film set tomorrow to check things out.”

”That won’t do. You have to let me in on it.”

”My lady...”

Yan Can said, annoyed, ”It’s not my call. If you want in, you should be talking to Xu Yun.”

”Aren’t you two close? Put in a good word for me.”

”Uhm...”

Hearing this, Yan Can suddenly looked a little awkward. ”Actually, we’re not that close.”

”???” Xino was confused.

”I actually just met Brother Xu at a Bentley owners’ meetup.”

Yan Can confessed, ”At the time, I saw he was driving a Bentley at such a young age and thought he was a rich kid like me. It was only after we talked that I found out he’s a self-made entrepreneur.”

”An entrepreneur?”

”Yeah. All the wealth he has now, he earned it himself. He didn’t rely on his family.”

Yan Can said, ”I saw how impressive he was and wanted to get on his good side so he’d let me tag along.

We met a few more times after that, and I happened to do him a favor, which is why he offered to bring me into the fold.”

”What favor did you do for him?”

”I helped him get a woman a job at the TV station.”

”A woman?”

Xino’s interest was immediately piqued. ”Is she his girlfriend? Or just a regular friend?”

”I’m not sure, but I’d guess...”

Yan Can hesitated for a moment, then said, ”Probably not his girlfriend. She’s a recent graduate from the Communication University, and she’s quite pretty.”

”Compared to me?”

”Well...”

”Tell me the truth.”

”In terms of figure and looks, it’s a toss-up. You’re both about the same.”

Yan Can said cautiously, ”I guess... her chest is just a tiny bit bigger than yours.”

”...” Xino was speechless.

Seeing the change in Xino’s expression, Yan Can quickly added in fright, ”Hey, you’re the one who told me to be honest.”

”What’s wrong with having a small chest?!”

Xino filled her and Yan Can’s glasses to the brim with alcohol, downed hers in one gulp, and said, ”You men are so pathetic. Is having a big chest all that matters?”

”Big chests really are nice, though,” Yan Can mumbled under his breath, disgruntled.

”Bullshit! I refuse to believe Xu Yun is that kind of person!”

”You’re not a man. I, for one, think he definitely likes women with big chests.”

”And how would you know?”

Yan Can retorted stubbornly, ”Because I’ve seen several of the women around him, and none of them have small chests.”

”!!!” Xino was floored.

’Several women?’

”Does he have a lot of women around him?”

”Obviously.”

Yan Can said, ”Look at your brother. Does he have a lot of women flocking around him?”

”...” Xino fell silent.

Seeing Xino’s gloomy expression, Yan Can asked tentatively, ”Nuomi, you’re so concerned about the women around Brother Xu... You haven’t fallen for him too, have you?”

”None of your damn business.”

Xino shot him a glare and said, ”I’m just being nosy, alright? Is there a law against that?”

”Nuomi, let me give you some advice.”

Yan Can said, ”If you really like Brother Xu and want to pursue him, you can’t act all wild like you do with me.

You have to be gentler. Men like gentle women, like when you’re on stage singing.”

”...” Xino was silent.

After that, Yan Can stayed at the bar a little longer, had a few more drinks with Xino, and then headed home.

He said he was going home, but he actually went to the private club where he had treated Xu Yun to a massage to enjoy himself.

But just as he walked in and was heading up to the second floor, he bumped into Chen Jiang, who was also there to relax.

Yan Can said awkwardly, ”Young Master Chen, what a coincidence. You’re here for a massage too?”

”That’s right.”

Young Master Chen gave him a meaningful look and said, ”Since we ran into each other, let’s go together. It’ll be a good chance to chat.”

”...” Yan Can was hesitant.

And so, he was pulled into a private room by Chen Jiang. The two of them chatted while enjoying proper massages.

At first, it was just normal small talk, but as they kept talking, Yan Can noticed that Chen Jiang was deliberately steering the conversation toward Xu Yun.

So, Yan Can decided to play along by feeding him ambiguous answers. He spun a web of half-truths and lies, all designed to paint Xu Yun as an incredibly powerful figure with a mysterious and unfathomable background.

As it happened, the masseuse assigned to Chen Jiang was Xiaoli, the same one who had given Xu Yun a massage that day.

After overhearing the conversation between Yan Can and Chen Jiang, she was utterly shocked to learn about Xu Yun’s status.

’I can’t believe I actually served such a powerful guy that day.’

Xiaoli suddenly missed him a little.

’Well, I miss his generous tip, too.’

「...」

Xu Yun was at Ning Qian’s place, where they were passionately entangled until the dead of night.

As they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

This time, upon his return, it seemed like every woman wanted to eat him alive.

After she was exhausted and resting, Xu Yun also took a short break before preparing to get up and leave.

But as it turned out, Ning Qian wasn’t asleep at all. She wrapped her arms around Xu Yun and pleaded, ”It’s so late. Can’t you stay tonight?”

”I can’t.”

Xu Yun patted her hand and said with a frank smile, ”I have a meeting with someone else.”
