Super Rich by Doing as You Please

They had to register anytime they showed a property to a client. Entry was by keycard, and they were responsible for any damage caused to the furniture inside.

A moment later, Wang Ke led the two of them behind the sales lobby, into the residential complex, through a covered walkway, and into the main building.

The lobby had a nine-meter-high ceiling. The wall was a single, massive accent wall made of luxurious, wave-patterned jadeite.

This stone was used on every visible surface.

Then they took the elevator to the 7th floor of Building 1, to a 321-square-meter apartment.

It was the smallest floor plan, with four bedroom suites and a lounge area.

As the main door opened, the saleswoman, Wang Ke, began her introduction. Aside from the basic floor plan, she focused on the furniture and decorations, all of which emphasized top-tier luxury.

The whole time, she was extremely careful, terrified of bumping into and breaking something inside.

”The ceilings are an extra-high 3.6 meters, which gives a grander, more spacious feeling and a better view.

The living room is 70 square meters. The sofa is by Bvlgari and costs 130,000, and this large rug underneath it is hand-woven artificial silk, valued at 180,000.

The TV wall and other walls are made of imported Fendi White, the same kind Messi has in his home.

The kitchen countertops are built from Hanbaiyu white marble, commonly seen in the Forbidden City, and there’s a floor-to-ceiling, magnetic, temperature-controlled wine cabinet.

Then Wang Ke mentioned a piece of furniture that Xu Yun found unbelievable.

It was the refrigerator in the kitchen: a Gaggenau 400 series, custom-made, double-door refrigerator, valued at 300,000!

’A refrigerator that costs 300,000... This really is a luxury mansion!’

When she got to the master bedroom, Wang Ke slid open a cabinet door in the walk-in closet, revealing a 20-centimeter-thick safe hidden behind it.

In the bathroom, the mirror opened to reveal a beauty fridge behind it, specifically for storing a woman’s face masks, serums, and other cosmetics.

This small design feature immediately captivated Xino.

As for the river view, since that was the property’s main selling point, it was naturally exceptional.

Every window in the apartment offered a direct and unobstructed panoramic view of a vast stretch of the Yangtze River.

After finishing the tour, Wang Ke asked carefully and tentatively, ”Mr. Xu, now that you’ve seen it, what do you think of this unit? Do you like it?”

”It’s alright.”

Xu Yun frowned. ”It’s just a bit small.”

’I already have a large flat over 400 square meters. I can’t just buy one that’s smaller than my current place, can I?’

’Of course, when you buy a house, it should always be bigger than the last!’

’After all, whether you’re a man or a woman, bigger is always better.’

”Uh...”

Wang Ke was stunned for a moment. ’This is small?’

In fact, most people who came to buy a home here bought this floor plan. It was also the most common layout in the complex.

After all, a single unit like this cost over 20 million!

”Mr. Xu, if you feel this is too small, we also have 380-square-meter and 420-square-meter units. Would you like to see them?”

”No, that’s fine.”

Xu Yun asked, ”I remember you mentioned at the beginning that you have a 550-square-meter unit, don’t you?”

Wang Ke’s eyes widened in surprise.

Hearing he wanted the largest one, Wang Ke replied, ”We do have one left. It’s the penthouse duplex in Building 2, and it’s also our only top-floor loft—The Only One.”

”Then take me to see it.”

”Of course, Mr. Xu.” Wang Ke agreed, but she didn’t think Xu Yun would actually buy it. ’He’s probably just going to have a look.’

Because most people who came to buy a home, after hearing about the top-floor loft, would ask to see it, but the number who actually bought it were few and far between.

It wasn’t that they didn’t like it, but that they didn’t have that much money in their bank accounts.

After all, this wasn’t something you could buy with just a little bit of money.

’Besides, Xu Yun looks so young, only in his twenties. He doesn’t seem like some established tycoon; he’s most likely just a rich kid living off his family.’

’I’ve dealt with many clients like him. Most of them end up buying a standard floor plan.’

’So, I bet after seeing it, they’ll just come back to look at the other, smaller units.’

Even though she called them ”small units,” the smallest one was still 321 square meters, several times larger than a typical home.

But faced with the client’s request, even if she knew it would be a wasted trip, she couldn’t refuse. She could only take them for a tour.

About ten minutes later, the group of three arrived at the 21st floor of Building 2, the top floor where The Only One was located.

It was luxuriously furnished and decorated, completely move-in ready.

Whether it was the furniture or the structural materials, everything was from the best top-tier international luxury brands.

The decorations and wall art were also works by various masters.

In terms of space and view, compared to the unit they saw before, this apartment was indeed much more spacious. The overall decor was also much more beautiful, giving off a very warm feeling.

The saleswoman, Wang Ke, explained, ”The interior design here was done by the HWCD team—an absolutely top-tier design firm.”

”It’s certainly nice.”

Xu Yun didn’t know anything about this HWCD team and had never heard of them, but after seeing the whole place, he found that he quite liked the style.

After looking around, Xino also liked it a lot.

’But liking it is one thing. It’s nice to come and appreciate it, but there’s no need to actually buy it.’

’It’s not cost-effective.’

’550 square meters, even at 70,000 per square meter...’ She did a quick mental calculation. ’That’s 38.5 million, almost 40 million!’

’Spending over 40 million on a large flat?’

’Unless you’re a real tycoon, who would do something like that!’

Xino felt that even her own father probably wouldn’t be willing to spend this kind of money.

For example, her family’s villa, while also in the 30-40 million range, had much, much more usable space.

It had three floors above ground and two below, for a total of five stories.

Surrounding the house, there was also a 700-square-meter garden that was thrown in for free, with a large pavilion, a tennis court, and an ornamental fish pond. It had everything and was incredibly spacious.

’All of that is way more cost-effective than a large flat!’
