Super Rich by Doing as You Please

The most expensive mortgage their bank had ever handled in Jiangcheng was for a property worth over 60 million.

Clearly, the unit Xu Yun was buying wasn’t much smaller than that one.

But that person had at least bought it with a loan, only putting down a little over 30 million. Xu Yun, on the other hand, was paying the entire amount in one go.

And that was on top of the 19 million he had spent on another property previously.

In just a few days, Xu Yun had purchased real estate through their bank, spending a total of 62 million in cash!

To make such a large purchase when the real estate industry was in such a slump...

’Now that’s what you call being rich and reckless!’

Soon, 43 million was wired from Xu Yun’s private bank into the account of Wang Ke’s company.

The two parties successfully completed the purchase procedures.

With this major transaction complete, the saleswoman, Wang Ke, could finally breathe a sigh of relief.

’A commission of over a hundred thousand yuan, secured!’

Since it was a move-in ready property, Wang Ke completed the online ownership registration with the help of a colleague after the purchase was finalized.

All that was left was to wait for the property deed to be issued.

Wang Ke also took the opportunity to hand over all the relevant documents for the property to Yu Xuan, including the access cards.

Su Mu suggested they go see Xu Yun’s new place. She was curious what a 43-million-yuan luxury apartment actually looked like.

Her own family was well-off, but compared to Xu Yun, the gap seemed immense.

The villa her family lived in at Ronghui Peninsula was worth a little over 10 million—just a quarter of the price of this apartment.

As Xu Yun’s secretary, Yu Xuan would never presume to visit the new apartment without her boss’s permission.

Su Mu’s relationship with their boss was different, but even so, Yu Xuan didn’t dare make the call herself without his approval.

In response to Su Mu’s request, Yu Xuan excused herself to the restroom and sent a message to Xu Yun to ask.

Xu Yun was a little surprised that Su Mu wanted to see his apartment, but he had nothing to hide.

If she wanted a look, she could have one.

After getting her boss’s approval, Yu Xuan came out of the restroom, nodded, and led Su Mu to the new apartment.

Su Mu knew exactly what Yu Xuan had been doing in the restroom but didn’t call her out on it.

As Xu Yun’s secretary, Su Mu thought Yu Xuan was doing a great job, even when she was keeping a close watch on her every move at the company.

To put it bluntly, while Su Mu was the one managing and running the company, Yu Xuan was like the set of eyes Xu Yun had left behind.

Su Mu was sure that Yu Xuan reported everything she did back to Xu Yun, down to the last detail.

She didn’t mind one bit.

In fact, she deliberately did things right in front of Yu Xuan, making sure she knew and saw everything.

Swiping the access card, the two entered Xu Yun’s new home: the penthouse duplex in Building 2, Phase 3 of Jiangcheng Heaven and Earth.

Before they arrived, both women had thought the apartment was expensive.

But the moment they stepped inside, they felt it was worth every penny.

From the distant river views to the myriad of top-tier luxury brands, everything was casually on display throughout the home.

The carpet under their feet was a high-end custom piece from Hermes. The enormous crystal chandelier overhead was Baccarat, a favorite of European royalty.

Even the faucets in the bathroom were made by THG.

Although the entire apartment was filled with top-tier luxury, a testament to the owner’s distinguished status, the overall style was surprisingly warm and inviting. It felt like a home, not ostentatious or gaudy, but rather filled with a subtle, artistic air.

Su Mu felt it was a lot like Xu Yun’s personality—reserved on the surface, but with real substance underneath.

She fell in love with the place at first sight.

Yu Xuan loved it too.

But as for who would get to live here, that was anyone’s guess.

Although Wang Ke hadn’t said anything explicitly, they had gathered that a woman had been with Xu Yun when he came to buy the apartment this afternoon.

The problem was, they had no idea who she was.

Su Mu thought it was unlikely to be Li Jinshu. Given Jinshu’s personality, she would have been bursting to tell her about something like this.

So, unbeknownst to them, another mysterious woman had appeared in Xu Yun’s life.

They didn’t know if it was someone he knew from before or someone he had met since returning.

At the same time, their understanding of Xu Yun’s wealth reached a whole new level.

In the past few days alone, Xu Yun’s total spending was already approaching one hundred million.

And remember, this was all in cash.

They both had an idea of Xu Yun’s family background, especially after attending his mother’s birthday celebration.

It was just as he’d said: they were ordinary people, not some wealthy, powerful clan.

That meant Xu Yun had earned all this wealth himself!

For a man not yet thirty to have earned such an astronomical fortune all on his own... it was a testament to his incredible abilities.

...

Meanwhile, Xu Yun had driven with Liang Yan to Crane Garden.

When the manager saw Xu Yun, he assumed he was there to dine again and proactively went to greet him. ”President Xu, my apologies, but all the rooms upstairs are full today. You didn’t call ahead, so we weren’t able to save a table for you.”

”No problem. I’m a guest today; someone invited me.”

Hearing this, the manager immediately smiled. ”May I ask which private room it is? I’ll take you there right away.”

”V3.”

Liang Yan answered with a smile, ”Thank you.”

”Ah, so it’s Young Master Chen’s private room.”

The manager said, ”I was just wondering why Young Master Chen hadn’t asked for the food to be served yet. It seems the distinguished guest he’s been waiting for is you, President Xu.”

In the manager’s eyes, it was perfectly normal for Xu Yun to know Young Master Chen.

After all, Jiangcheng wasn’t that big. The circle of wealthy people was quite small.

It wasn’t strange for them all to know each other.

But Xu Yun didn’t know any Young Master Chen. He looked at Liang Yan and asked in confusion, ”Your ex-husband’s surname is Chen?”

Liang Yan had told him before, but he hadn’t paid attention and had forgotten.
