Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Shiliu walked over. ”Besides,” she said, ”our salaries are much higher than at other companies. We work nine-to-five and get weekends off. Where else could you find a job like this?”

”You said it. This company is heaven-sent.”

A moment later, Xu Yun ended his chat with Ning Qian. They agreed to meet again that evening, and then he returned to his office.

Just then, Yan Can paid a surprise visit.

It was his first time here. When Ning Qian saw him, she asked politely, ”Hello, sir. May I help you?”

”My name is Yan Can, and I’m here to sign a contract with President Su. Could you please show me the way?”

”Of course. Let me just call and check first.”

While Ning Qian called Su Mu to confirm, Yan Can looked around the office.

After confirming his appointment, Ning Qian led Yan Can to Su Mu’s office.

On the way, he saw three female employees, and all of them were gorgeous.

’This place is great. Aside from the receptionist, I can’t believe every female employee is this beautiful.’

’As expected of Brother Xu. Even the employees he hires are so easy on the eyes.’

’I wonder what happened between him and Nuomi last night.’

Inside the office, facing Yan Can, Su Mu had resumed her persona as a mature, elite businesswoman.

Xu Yun had already told her about Yan Can the previous night, so of course she wouldn’t object. Her task was to follow Xu Yun’s instructions and discuss the project details with him.

She was to feign a thorough discussion, ask for his opinions, and go over other matters.

In any case, as Xu Yun had put it, the goal was to avoid making the process seem too easy. Yan Can needed to feel like he was participating.

That way, he would actually enjoy the profits.

Truth be told, the three to four million he was investing was insignificant. It didn’t matter to the company, to Xu Yun, or to the project as a whole.

This was clearly a way of handing him free money.

Su Mu didn’t ask Xu Yun why. The company was his, after all. Since he’d given the order, all she had to do was execute it.

While Su Mu and Yan Can discussed the contract, Yu Xuan returned from her trip. She had flown to the film set the day before to check on the shoot.

When she got to the office, she was about to go find President Su to report on the production, but Ning Qian stopped her.

She said with a smile, ”Miss Yu, President Su is meeting with someone right now. If you need anything, you can go to President Xu’s office.”

”The boss is back?” Upon hearing the news, Yu Xuan’s reaction was almost identical to Ning Qian’s.

’He’s back, and he didn’t even tell me in advance.’

”Mhm, he came straight to the office with President Su as soon as he got back today.”

”Alright, I understand.”

After thanking Ning Qian, Yu Xuan headed straight for Xu Yun’s office.

”Morning, Secretary Yu.”

She ran into other employees along the way, who all greeted her.

”Morning, everyone.”

When she reached his office door, Yu Xuan first straightened her clothes, then knocked and called out, ”Boss.”

”Come in, the door’s unlocked.”

Hearing Xu Yun’s voice, Yu Xuan pushed the door open, walked in, and said with a smile, ”Hello, Boss.”

”Not good at all.”

Xu Yun said, ”Quick, come over and rub my shoulders and neck. It feels like I slept on it wrong last night.”

”Okay.”

Yu Xuan moved behind Xu Yun and started massaging his shoulders, taking the opportunity to report on her work.

”For the molten iron fireworks display, a total of 2.76 million was paid from the company account. Miss Su handled the payment. We were only able to get an invoice for 2.32 million, as the other expenses weren’t invoiceable.”

”For Miss Li’s fitness center, we’ve paid out 1.78 million from the company account so far. This covers materials and some labor costs. There will be more expenses going forward.”

”And then there’s the company’s first project, a short-form drama, which has begun filming in Hang City. Miss Su couldn’t make it, so I flew over yesterday for the production kick-off ceremony.”

”The company has also hired new...”

Xu Yun savored Yu Xuan’s massage, listening to her meticulous report. He felt completely at ease.

He didn’t care how the company spent its money, or whether it was turning a profit or taking a loss.

It was all about the feeling of being the boss.

When Yu Xuan finished her report, Xu Yun told her to stop massaging him. ”Thank you for all your hard work,” he said.

”It’s no trouble. It’s all part of my job.”

”I hired you to be my personal secretary, but now you’re also doing the work of a corporate secretary. It’s like you’re doing two jobs.”

Xu Yun turned to her with a smile. ”How about this: I won’t give you a raise on the books, so Su Mu and the others don’t get any ideas. Instead, I’ll personally give you a 200,000 bonus at the end of every year.”

”Thank you, Boss.” Yu Xuan was thrilled.

’My monthly salary is 50,000 after taxes, which is 600,000 a year. With the 200,000 bonus on top of that, my annual income is now 800,000.’

’This was something I never would have dared to dream of before!’

’Plenty of high-achieving graduates from top-tier universities don’t even make that much in a year.’

’And here I am, just a graduate from an ordinary university, on the verge of making a million a year!’

’This man in front of me gave me everything.’

’His arrival had changed my entire life, just like that.’

Yu Xuan looked down at Xu Yun’s back, momentarily at a loss for how to thank him. A powerful impulse, a deep longing, welled up inside her.

For the first time ever, she took the initiative, stepping forward to wrap her arms around him.

”Boss, I’m hungry.”

Xu Yun was a little surprised. He turned to look at the clearly aroused Yu Xuan and asked, ”Here?”

Yu Xuan said shyly, ”Mhm, right here.”

A good boss, of course, had to satisfy his employee’s desires.

And so, the door was bolted shut.

They dispensed with further probing and dove straight into a deep and thorough ”work-related discussion” on the spacious office desk.

With Su Mu in the adjacent office, they didn’t dare let their ”discussion” go on for too long, opting for a blitz.
