Super Rich by Doing as You Please

”Not bad. You act like a man, much better than Yan Can. You two keep talking, I’m going back up to sing another song.”

Xino ran onto the stage and grabbed the microphone.

”Today, I’d like to dedicate a song to my new friend, Xu Yun. It’s called ’Cloud Smoke Becomes Rain.’ I hope he likes it.”

”...” Xu Yun was speechless.

A moment later, as he watched Xino on stage, her demeanor turning gentle as she sang ”Cloud Smoke Becomes Rain,” he finally understood what Yan Can had said.

’This contrast is so extreme. She’s like a completely different person up there!’

”See? Told you she was wild, didn’t I?”

After sighing in admiration, Yan Can chuckled. ”But you’ve got some real guts, too. That was a huge glass of baijiu. She told you to drink, and you downed it in one go.”

”The lady drank it, so I couldn’t just wimp out, could I?”

Xu Yun shook his head. ”A man can’t show weakness in front of a woman.”

”So, how are you feeling now?”

”My stomach’s a bit upset. I’m gonna use the restroom.” After saying that, Xu Yun finally couldn’t hold it in any longer and bolted for the toilet.

He then started vomiting uncontrollably.

’I’m never going to force myself to act tough again. This feels horrible!’

Just then, the system’s voice sounded in his mind.

[For facing a beautiful woman’s challenge without flinching and choosing to Do as You Please by downing a glass of baijiu, you are rewarded with the Drinking Skill: Thousand Cups Unintoxicated. Your path as a drinker is now limitless!]

’Damn it!’

’I’ve already puked my guts out, and you’re only giving me the Skill reward now?’

However, after the system’s reward notification sounded, Xu Yun felt the sickness in his stomach begin to subside.

’It seems my Thousand Cups Unintoxicated skill is already taking effect.’

Xino, who was still singing on stage, saw Xu Yun suddenly run off. Confused, she stopped mid-song, ran down, and asked Yan Can, ”What’s wrong with him?”

”What else could it be~”

Yan Can shot her a look and said helplessly, ”You made him drink so much he threw up.”

”...” Xino was silent.

’That weak?’

The flicker of interest she had felt for Xu Yun was instantly extinguished.

Just as they were speaking, Xu Yun walked back.

His face was still a bit flushed, but he didn’t have the haggard look of someone who had just been vomiting from drunkenness.

He was walking perfectly steadily, not at all like he’d had too much to drink just moments ago.

Xino studied him curiously and asked tentatively, ”Did you just go to the restroom to throw up?”

”Nope.”

Xu Yun said calmly, ”Why would I throw up from that little bit of alcohol? I’m not a lightweight like Yan Can.”

”???” Yan Can was speechless.

Xino was skeptical. ”Really? You’re not just putting on a brave face, are you? How about another glass?”

”Sure, I’m game.”

”Wait, Brother Xu.”

Yan Can chimed in from the side, ”If you can’t drink anymore, let’s just stop. Don’t force it. This girl, Nuomi, has been an incredible drinker since she was a kid. You can’t compete with her.”

”What a coincidence. I’ve also been an incredible drinker since I was a kid.” With the system’s boost, Xu Yun was now brimming with confidence.

’Heh, this little lady? I’ll conquer her!’

”In that case, let’s have a competition today. We’ll see who passes out first.”

Xino smiled. ”Let me see what you’re made of.”

”Alright.”

Xu Yun grinned. ”But... should we add a little wager to the mix?”

”You name it. What’s the bet?”

”If you lose, you have to spend the night with me.”

Xu Yun said, word by word, ”You’ll do whatever I tell you to do.”

Hearing this, Yan Can, who was standing beside them, was completely stunned.

’Brother Xu, isn’t that a little too direct?’

Xino also hadn’t expected Xu Yun to make such a demand. He wasn’t pretending at all; he was laying his intentions bare.

Nearby friends couldn’t help but start teasing them.

”Nuomi, so there’s finally a day someone hits on you? Hahaha!”

”Dude, you’ve got balls. Daring to say you want to sleep with her right off the bat.”

”Don’t worry, we’re all rooting for you. Knock her down a peg!”

Hearing this, Xino flushed with a mix of shame and anger. ”You want to sleep with me? We’ll see if you have what it takes. But if *you* lose, you’re covering everyone’s tab for the whole night. How about it?”

’My bar’s revenue for one night is one to two million.’

’Hmph, you want to sleep with me?’

’You’re not getting away with that without paying a hefty price!’

”No problem.”

Xu Yun smiled at the crowd. ”If I lose, consider tonight my treat to make friends with all of you.”

”Bro, you’re a class act!”

”Yan Can, you have to introduce me to your friend sometime.”

”Yeah, even if you lose, it’s no disgrace. After all, not a single one of us has ever been able to out-drink her.”

This was a private bar, not open to the public. It was opened simply as a place for her and her friends to have fun and relax. It wasn’t expected to make a lot of money.

The people who could afford to hang out here were all rich second-generation kids and children of officials from Jiangcheng’s elite circles.

But don’t think they were like those morons you see online, always causing trouble for their parents and grandparents.

The rich kids and officials’ kids who were actually poised to take over their family’s legacies usually had good upbringings. They were smart and had high emotional intelligence.

”You guys are all hoping I’ll lose, aren’t you? Not a chance!”

Xino shot everyone a glare, then turned to Xu Yun. ”You want to go first, or should I?”

”Ladies first.”

”Fine.” Xino was extremely confident in her tolerance for alcohol. Growing up, not a single person had ever been able to out-drink her.

Not even the elders in her family.

She didn’t know why her tolerance was so high, but it seemed she just couldn’t get drunk.

To put the pressure on Xu Yun right away, she opened a bottle of foreign liquor, filled the three glasses in front of her to the brim, and used up more than half the bottle.

Then, in front of everyone, she downed all three glasses in one go.

She held up the last empty glass, showing off the bottom, and said smugly to Xu Yun, ”Your turn. If you’re scared, you can surrender now. How about it?”

”Three glasses? That’s just enough for me to rinse my mouth.”

Xu Yun gave a disdainful smirk, opened an identical bottle of liquor, and, to everyone’s astonishment, prepared to chug it straight from the bottle.
