This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Regarding Du Heng’s sudden inquiry, Shi Jin’s expression appeared quite complex.

There was joy and pride, yet his gaze was filled with faint bitterness and rejection.

Jin Zan, who was beside him, noticed Shi Jin’s expression as well. Seeing him unwilling to speak, he asked proactively, ”Shi, can you talk about it?”

Shi Jin smiled slightly, nodded in agreement to Jin Zan’s question, but still showed no intention to speak himself.

Observing all this, Du Heng suddenly felt more curious, and his eyes couldn’t help but glance at Jin Zan.

Jin Zan took a deep look at Shi Jin and then softly said to Du Heng, ”Shi didn’t start off well; he was a college student.”

Starting as a college student?

Graduate student?

Du Heng’s brow furrowed imperceptibly.

Now Jin Zan didn’t need to continue talking; Du Heng knew that Dr. Shi must have experienced a very inspirational story.

Jin Zan sighed and continued, ”You know, clinical medicine from college, even back when we just graduated, it had no competitiveness at all.

However, at that time, there was a policy that allowed clinical medicine students to advance from college to university.

But even with that extra year of undergraduate study, the recruitment trend changed, making undergraduates unable to meet demand and requiring a graduate degree.

Adding the issue of Shi’s first degree, pursuing a graduate degree was his only way out.

So imagine going from a college student with nothing to the most capable graduate student of our year; how much sweat must have been shed along this path.”

Jin Zan now looked at Shi Jin with eyes full of admiration, ”Shi’s family conditions weren’t good; his tuition fees were all borrowed.

Moreover, his parents always engaged in heavy physical work, and as they aged, various issues arose.

To repay the loan and to help his parents, Shi chose a private hospital and became obsessed with performing surgeries.”

Jin Zan spoke extensively, from studies to work, all about Shi Jin’s diligence, effort, and advancement.

Du Heng understood this and could empathize.

People say if a family wants to get ahead quickly, studying medicine is the easiest way.

Because the path is too arduous, but the effectiveness takes too long to manifest, children with even a slightly stable family background or connections either cannot endure the hardship, or the family arranges a better path.

Oh!

Du Heng sighed softly, looked at Shi Jin, and said, ”Hard work and effort are good, but it’s also the reason you’re sick.

Touch your nape, is there a yokohama bean?”

Shi Jin didn’t touch but knew clearly that he indeed had a yokohama bean on his nape.

Yet he frowned again and said, ”I do have a yokohama bean, but it couldn’t possibly trigger rheumatoid arthritis, right?”

Du Heng shook his head and said, ”A yokohama bean, in most cases, is caused by cervical vertebra deformation due to poor posture, which as surgical operation doctors, you must be very familiar with.

But the cervical vertebra connects to the spine, an important pathway for the meridians in the human body, which is the root cause of your meridian blockage.

Long-term blockage of meridians can lead to physical weakness, poor skin connection, and instability of construction and defense, creating conditions for external evils.

Overall, you have blood stasis accumulated in the meridians, causing stagnation of qi and blood. This stagnation further obstructs the qi mechanism, doesn’t transform the blood stasis, ultimately leading to meridian blockage and joint swelling and pain.”

Jin Zan hurriedly asked, ”Du, can you really cure this?”

Du Heng glanced at Jin Zan, ”Why, after saying so much, do you still have doubts?”

Jin Zan shook his hands quickly, ”No, no, just hard to believe.”

Then he laughed twice, ”Then hurry up and tell us the treatment method.”

Unlike Jin Zan’s excitement, Du Heng calmly turned to Shi Jin and said, ”The treatment has three steps.

First is decoction medicine, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, relaxing meridians and alleviating pain.

The second step is helping you relax, correcting the joint deformation and dislocation caused by long-term bad posture.

The third step is to remove your yokohama bean and expel all the dampness qi inside.”

Shi Jin was even more excited than Jin Zan, but at this moment, he didn’t have many questions, only kept saying, ”Doctor Du, what you say, I’ll follow completely.”

Du Heng slowly stood up and gestured for Shi Jin to stand as well, ”I’ll help you relax first, and we’ll discuss the rest later.”

Relax?

Shi Jin was a bit clueless, but still followed Du Heng’s instructions to stand up and positioned himself correctly.

At this time, Jin Zan said from the side, ”Shi, don’t be nervous. I told you before, Du is a polymath whose proficiency in orthopedics isn’t inferior to Internal Medicine Department.

In orthopedics, besides not being able to perform surgical operation, Du’s level is akin to top experts.”

Before Jin Zan finished speaking, Du Heng already stood behind Shi Jin, embracing him from behind in a peculiar posture and pressing him onto the sofa.

Just as Shi Jin’s buttocks touched the sofa, Du Heng, who was holding him from behind, suddenly exerted force, lifting him up abruptly.

With this single move, Shi Jin felt as if he had fallen apart, unable to use any strength in his body.

But before he could exclaim, a huge pressure hit his back and neck, as if his shoulders were simultaneously pushed down, collapsing to both sides suddenly.
