This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

What are you looking for Dong Yuezhang for?

Of course, it’s still about donating money, what else could it be?

Moreover, if I donate money to Gong Daoyang’s police station but not to Dong Yuezhang’s town government, if Dong Yuezhang finds out, he’d probably yank all his hair out.

As Du Heng’s mind wandered, he and Kang Zhirong had already arrived at the town government’s courtyard.

Dong Yuezhang was neither surprised nor delighted by Du Heng’s visit.

If Du Heng came back from the capital and didn’t come to see these good brothers, their friendship would become ’distant’.

In the future, when talking about it, it would either be a topic to discuss or require a few more drinks.

And precisely, Du Heng can’t drink, and he’s not someone who leaves room for discussion, so Dong Yuezhang knew Du Heng would definitely come.

So when they met, the thing Dong Yuezhang was most concerned about was the child’s situation, ”Do you have time to see me today because everything is fine with the child?”

Du Heng was very familiar with Dong Yuezhang’s office, familiar enough that it felt like his own home.

Without waiting for Dong Yuezhang to greet him, he directly plopped down on the sofa and invited Kang Zhirong to sit too, telling him to feel at home.

After settling down, Du Heng said, ”Stop with the fake pleasantries. If you really cared about your niece, you should go and see her yourself.”

Actually, Dong Yuezhang hadn’t intended to greet Du Heng, so after seeing Du Heng sit down, he smiled and said to Kang Zhirong, ”You’re Xiao Kang, right? I’ve heard Old Du mention you a lot. A very capable young man, handling things outside of Old Du’s main job very well.

Come on, sit down, and learn from your boss; make yourself at home.”

Du Heng glanced at Dong Yuezhang indifferently, ”Are you trying to put me in a bind?”

”You’re now a leader from the capital, do I dare to put you in a bind?” Dong Yuezhang gave Du Heng a similar look before getting up to get water for them.

”Honestly, don’t find fault with me, and my wife visited you and your child yesterday on my behalf. She said you were sleeping like a log, so she didn’t disturb you and came back.”

When Dong Yuezhang brought the water over, he carefully explained the situation.

Du Heng stopped his joking demeanor but still casually asked, ”Have you been really busy these days?”

”Would I lie to you?” Dong Yuezhang immediately responded with a wry smile, ”When you were here, you solved the issues of poverty due to illness and returning to poverty due to illness.

Moreover, due to the good development of the health clinic, the achievements were also stabilized, preventing the recurrence of previous problems.

In this regard, our entire town needs to thank you for your efforts.”

Du Heng felt a warmth in his heart, and a slight hint of pride appeared on his face inadvertently.

Leaving behind things that others can praise in the place where you grew, lived, and worked is indeed something to be proud of.

Just when Du Heng was feeling proud, Dong Yuezhang continued, ”However, the issues of poverty due to education and dropping out due to poverty haven’t been resolved.

Not only have they not been resolved, but as the town’s industrial structure has changed over the years, the situation has become more severe.”

Healthcare, education, aren’t these the two most important issues for rural areas?

Apart from these two issues, there doesn’t seem to be much else of importance to rural families.

Due to his work, Du Heng used to focus all his attention on healthcare, and paid little attention to education in his town.

But with his own experience as a reference, what Dong Yuezhang said was indeed a troubling issue.

And in terms of education, the most troubling is likely high school education, followed by university education.

The problems of dropping out due to poverty during the Nine-Year Compulsory Education phase are basically gone now, but in high school, there are still occasional instances.

However, at the university level, this issue becomes even more prominent.

Even with today’s living standards and policy support, a student can get through university with some effort.

But the problem is, for a handful of families, even spending 1,000 yuan a month for living expenses is very challenging.

Not to mention that many families hope their children will start working after turning eighteen to help the family financially.

But often, it’s these families’ children who have the best grades and get into the best schools.

So in the end, some students choose nearby schools with little competitiveness, while others who have clearly succeeded are forced to drop out and work instead.

Do these parents not understand that education changes fate, and that earning money after finishing university is easier than starting work at eighteen?

Apart from those very few parents who are a bit daft, all the other parents know this, otherwise they wouldn’t send their children to high school.

But life is like this; often, it doesn’t change according to human will.

Otherwise, proverbs like ’misfortune befalls the unfortunate, the hemp breaks at its weakest point’ wouldn’t have been passed down.

Hearing this, Du Heng couldn’t help but think more deeply.

But not knowing what Du Heng was thinking, Dong Yuezhang continued, ”You see, this year’s university admissions have started, and several students are already facing problems for various reasons.
