This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

As soon as he heard Dong Yuezhang’s words, Du Heng knew what this guy was up to.

He immediately lifted his butt and headed out, ”Wishful thinking! The Health Clinic can’t get money themselves and now you’re thinking of taking the indirect approach, huh?

Let me tell you, my money doesn’t grow on trees, I’m not in the situation where I have so much money that I can’t sit idle, so you’d better give up on that idea.”

When Kang Zhirong saw Du Heng was really about to leave, he hurriedly stood up and left with him.

Dong Yuezhang chuckled, hands in pockets, leisurely following them out, ”Why do you have to think so poorly of people? Can’t you be civilized?

I just think, you know, the Health Clinic is a place where you dedicated your efforts in the past, it holds sentimental value.

Now you’ve donated to the police station and the Town Government, but not to the Health Clinic. Doesn’t that seem a bit unreasonable? If your former subordinates find out, your image in their eyes will be compromised.”

Du Heng felt a toothache listening to this, but continued on without stopping after leaving Dong Yuezhang’s office, quickly taking the stairs down, ”Stop sowing discord! The people I trained are not as ungrateful as those you trained.”

Seeing Du Heng was really leaving, Dong Yuezhang didn’t intend to persuade him otherwise and just followed him out.

First, because they were brothers without the need for formalities; secondly, he was genuinely quite busy with work.

”You see, you’re always overthinking things. I’m just looking out for you.”

”Just shut up quickly.” Du Heng waved dismissively without turning back, ”The Health Clinic is currently not short on money. Their own business is improving more and more, so there isn’t any future shortage of funding either.

What they need now are skills, are methods.

Focus on how to advance the economy of Central Lake, stop worrying about the Health Clinic.

Alright, stop escorting me, I’m just turning the corner to head to the Health Clinic.”

Having said this, Dong Yuezhang truly stopped in his tracks, ”Alright then, I won’t escort you further.

Once I finish these tasks over the next few days, and you’re free too, I’ll arrange a get-together for the four of us to have a drink.”

By this time, Du Heng was already at the Town Government’s gate, and upon hearing this, he replied loudly, ”Then I’ll wait for your news.”

The Health Clinic is right next to the Township Government, closer even than the police station.

Just like now, the echo in the Township Government’s yard hadn’t yet dissipated before Du Heng and Kang Zhirong entered the Health Clinic’s gate.

Nowadays, there are more acquaintances at the Health Clinic, compared to the police station and the Town Government, it completely feels like returning home.

But having only chatted briefly with Qiu Pingzhen, Du Heng was surrounded by a bunch of old friends from the Health Clinic.

However, these people surrounded Du Heng not to idle chit-chat, but to inquire about some business issues.

For example, the ’Stroke Recovery Group’ that had been transferred to the Health Clinic, under Wu Buwei’s lead, raised many accumulated questions.

Furthermore, led by Doctor Han, a group from the newly established dermatology department at the Health Clinic also surrounded Du Heng to consult on various work-related doubts.

And as before, Du Heng unreservedly imparted all his knowledge to these people.

As long as someone asked, he’d teach, even without tiring from repeated teachings, breaking everything down and explaining fully.

Even by the end of the workday at the Health Clinic, Du Heng’s little workshop was still in full swing.

Kang Zhirong, feeling quite bored, checked the time several times, but seeing Du Heng’s enthusiastic demeanor, he couldn’t bring himself to remind him.

It was only upon receiving a phone call from Wu Shengnan that Kang Zhirong approached Du Heng and quietly reminded, ”Du, it’s getting late, you have to go back and have Xuanxuan checked.”

Du Heng, a bit dazed, glanced out the window and realized the sky had started to darken outside.

This time back in Jinzhou, there hadn’t been a moment as relaxed as today, so carefree.

As Du Heng turned his head, everyone realized it was late and knowing that Du Heng still needed to go home to care for his Child, they began to cease their discussions.

Seeing this, Du Heng didn’t make any fuss, stood up, and with a hint of apology said, ”Everyone, I’m really sorry, there are a few Things I need to take care of today, I have to leave.

Once Things are sorted out in the next couple of days, let’s find Time to continue our discussions.”

After finishing, amidst everyone’s thanks, Du Heng and Kang Zhirong left the Health Clinic together.

On the way back, Kang Zhirong looked back at Du Heng, who was resting with his eyes closed, hesitated for a moment before asking, ”Du, I have a question I’d like to ask.”

Du Heng, reclining in his seat, savoring the earlier scenes from their discussions, heard Kang Zhirong’s question but didn’t open his eyes, just softly said, ”Go ahead.”

”Du, I’m not against you donating, but you’ve donated to both the police station and your Township, and each donation was several hundred yuan, isn’t that... I mean... isn’t that...”

Du Heng then opened his eyes, glancing at Kang Zhirong, and with a smile replied, ”Do you think it’s too much?”

Kang Zhirong chuckled without responding directly to Du Heng’s comment, but the implication was clear.

Du Heng’s Eyes looked forward, after a slight pause he said, ”Over a million, for a personal amount, indeed it’s quite a lot.

But when this money is placed in a workplace, put into a Township, it’s actually not that much.
