This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Chapter 168: 168 Twin Methods

Jin Zan leaned back and took a deep breath.

Du Heng continued, ”Don’t talk about it when you go back, and stop practicing yoga for now. Also, I’m telling you this so you won’t have a psychological burden and so you understand that you two can have a baby.”

”I understand, bro. I’m not stupid.”

Du Heng shook his head gently. ”I told you from the beginning that you’re a little tired and also restless. I’m saying this to ease your mind and relieve pressure. Getting pregnant isn’t an individual matter. If you continue to be restless as before, it’s not good news for getting pregnant.”

Jin Zan wanted to say more, but he heard the sound of high heels coming from the stairwell, so he voluntarily closed his mouth.

The sound only lasted for a few moments before Jin Zan’s wife came in.

”I’ve registered.”

”Alright.” Du Heng handed the prescription to Jin Zan. ”After you go back, take the medicine as prescribed. Don’t be impatient, and don’t argue with each other. Wait patiently, and the child will come naturally.”

He then looked at Jin Zan’s wife and said, ”Your constitution is cold in nature, so I’ve reduced the cold-natured medicine ingredients in the prescription. During the medication period, don’t eat ice cream or cold drinks. It’s summer now, so you can eat some melons and fruits, but don’t overdo it.”

Jin Zan’s wife nodded. ”I’ll remember.”

”And don’t sit directly in the draft of the air conditioner.”

Jin Zan interjected, ”I’ll remove it when I get back!”

Du Heng was a little exasperated. ”That’s not necessary.” He turned to Jin Zan’s wife and said, ”It’s better for you to wear socks, preferably thicker ones.”

”But that would be too hot.”

Du Heng didn’t say anything more. He could handle Jin Zan, make sarcastic remarks about him, and confront him, but when it came to Jin Zan’s wife, he could only say so much.

I’ve said my piece; whether you listen or not is your business.

If I’m too forceful, I’ll just come across as the bad guy.

Of course, Jin Zan was still there, and he immediately said, ”We’ll buy you a pair of socks to wear when we go out later.”

Jin Zan’s wife rolled her eyes at him.

Jin Zan ignored his wife and said to Du Heng, ”Alright, bro, we won’t bother you any longer. We both took half a day off and have to go back to work this afternoon. We’ll see you in a month; wait for our good news! If it really happens, you have to be my son’s godfather.”

”Damn, wouldn’t I be at a loss then?”

”Bullshit!” he said, putting his arm around his wife. ”It’s your good fortune to be my son’s godfather. Let’s go, honey.”

Du Heng also smiled and followed them. ”How do you know it’s a boy? What if it’s a girl?”

Jin Zan touched his bald head. ”A girl is even better—Daddy’s precious little comforter.”

Seeing Jin Zan touching his bald head, Du Heng couldn’t help but say, ”You should just shave your head completely. It would look better. This hairstyle is too ugly and doesn’t suit your wife at all.”

”That’s right! I’ve been saying a bald head looks better,” Jin Zan’s wife immediately chimed in, echoing Du Heng’s suggestion.

Jin Zan touched the remaining short hair on the sides again. ”No, I can’t shave it. They won’t last much longer; let them stay with me for a little while more.”

As they were talking, they reached the Hall. ”Honey, let’s get the medicine here to give Du some business.”

Du Heng sneered, ”Oh, I’m truly grateful.”

Jin Zan chuckled and went to the registration office to pay.

However, the prescription hadn’t been entered into the system yet, so Wang Zhenzhen had to calculate the price item by item, which was time-consuming.

Taking advantage of this time, Du Heng jokingly asked the couple, ”I have a prescription here that could help you conceive twins. Want to try it?”

Jin Zan looked Du Heng up and down. ”You’re not planning to use us as guinea pigs, are you? How come I’ve never heard of such a prescription before?”

Du Heng looked at Jin Zan with disdain. ”You’ve never even heard of Kuangdai Decoction, so how would you know about other prescriptions in the Gynecology Department? Our ancestors left us so many good things; have you heard of them all?”

Jin Zan licked his lips and whispered to his wife, ”Shall we give it a try?”

Jin Zan’s wife was also tempted. After thinking for a moment, she asked Du Heng, ”Can the gender—boy or girl—be controlled?”

Good heavens! If I could control the gender, I’d probably have been whisked away for research by now.

Du Heng shook his head, quite speechless. ”I don’t have that kind of ability.”

Jin Zan’s wife hesitated for a moment, then said to Jin Zan, ”Let’s skip it for now. If we can really conceive, we’ll consider it for our second child.”

”Alright, I’ll listen to my wife.”

At this time, Wang Zhenzhen had also finished calculating the price.

After collecting the payment, Jin Zan took the bill to the Pharmacy opposite. Du Heng, seeing the Pharmacy Doctor looking at the bill, said to him, ”Go ahead and prepare his medicine. I’ll enter the prescription into the system later.”

”Alright, no problem!” the Pharmacy Doctor agreed cheerfully.

The Dean himself had given the instruction; what medicine could he not dispense?

After the medicine was prepared and collected, Du Heng saw Jin Zan and his wife off.

Just then, Wang Zhenzhen suddenly walked over to Du Heng. ”Xiao Heng, help your sister check something.”

Du Heng was slightly puzzled. ”Check what?”

”See if I’m pregnant.”

”That’s simple. Let’s go to the office.”

In the office, Wu Buwei was still engrossed in his studies, preparing hard for next month’s exam. Hearing someone enter, he quickly sat up straight, only to see it was Du Heng and Wang Zhenzhen.

Du Heng smiled and said, ”You just keep studying your book. Don’t mind us.”

Sitting down at the desk, Du Heng arranged the pulse pillow. ”Sis, place your arm here.”

It didn’t take long for Du Heng to finish the diagnosis.

”Sis, your pulse doesn’t show anything. By the way, when was your last menstrual period?”

”Six days ago.”

Du Heng was speechless. Is she teasing me?

”Why did you suddenly think to ask this?”

Wang Zhenzhen sighed, withdrawing her arm. ”We’ve been anxious about having a second child for the past two months. I didn’t expect that after two months, there are still no results.”

”You can’t rush these things. Just let nature take its course.”

”You just told your classmate that you have a prescription that can help conceive twins?”

”There’s a chance, and it’s relatively high. Why, do you want to try it?”

”I want to give it a shot.” Wang Zhenzhen seemed to have made up her mind, looking at Du Heng. ”Write me a prescription. Since I’m not pregnant anyway, why not try it?”

Du Heng hesitated for a moment and emphasized again, ”Sis, I can’t guarantee you’ll definitely have twins.”

”Oh, stop being so difficult! I know. Just write me the prescription quickly.”

But Du Heng shook his head again. ”I really can’t just write you a prescription for this one. Some of the medicine ingredients need to be soaked in alcohol, and others require special processing. Plus, this medicine isn’t a decoction medicine; I have to make it into pellet medicine using vinegar.”

”It’s that complicated?”

”Yes, it’s quite complicated. Do you still want it?”

Wang Zhenzhen nodded firmly. ”Yes, why not? It’s a hassle for you, not for me, after all.”

Du Heng was astonished.

She does have a point.

As Wang Zhenzhen walked out, she added, ”Hurry up and make it. Can it be ready by this evening?”

Du Heng gritted his teeth. ”Alright, I’ll have it for you by this evening.”
