Apocalyptic Disaster: I Hoard Billions in Supplies and Kill the Saint

48: Chapter 48 Ye Nanxing’s StrengthAfter dealing with the fuel, Ye Nanxing did not rest and immediately drove to the private coal storage yard she had acquired!

As one of the core energy sources of modern industry, the value of coal in the Apocalypse is even higher than that of oil!

Because it can not only be used for heating, but also for boiling water, cooking, and even simple power generation!

Compared to fuel, storing coal is simpler; after all, it is not strictly regulated like fuel, and generally, as long as there is a buyer, coal mine owners are willing to sell.

But to ensure that receiving the goods would not arouse suspicion from the outside world, she still made meticulous arrangements.

When she entered the coal storage yard, the entire mountain of coal looked like a black ocean, piled up a full two stories high!

Lump coal 5,000 tons (for heating and stove fuel)

Anthracite 3,000 tons (for indoor heating)

Charcoal 2,000 tons (essential for wilderness survival)

Ye Nanxing stood in front of the coal pile, reached out her finger to gently stroke the black coal blocks, and with a thought—

”Collect!”

Hum—!

Countless tons of coal were instantly collected into her space, and the coal yard that was originally piled high like a mountain became empty in the blink of an eye, as if nothing had ever been stored there!

Ye Nanxing looked at this scene, a flash of satisfaction in her eyes.

—With this, her energy supplies were completely stocked up!

Even if the entire world enters the extreme cold period in the future and the heating systems of all cities collapse, she can still support heating for the entire base for years!

To avoid the coal yard staff discovering the ”disappearance” of the coal and fuel the next day, she had specially made preparations.

She had arranged for a logistics company in advance, with several trucks entering and leaving every day to create the illusion of normal transactions.

After all the finishing work was completed, Ye Nanxing slowly breathed a sigh of relief, clapped her hands, turned around to get into her car, and slowly drove away from the coal yard.

When Ye Nanxing’s SUV drove into Tianlang Mountain, the sky was already turning slightly white.

Under the morning light, the construction of the entire base had already taken shape—

The outer perimeter wall was completely enclosed, reaching a height of three meters, with anti-climbing barbs and electric nets installed on top; anyone who wanted to force their way in would have to pay the price!

The surveillance system was also in place, with all-weather thermal imaging cameras ensuring that there would be no blind spots at night!

The hidden entrance to the armory was under construction, and quite a bit of defensive equipment had already been stored inside.

The warehouse area had also been expanded, making material storage more concealed, and the ventilation and moisture-proofing systems had been debugged.

Ye Nanxing pushed open the car door, took a deep breath, and a look of satisfaction flashed in her eyes.

—Faster than she had expected!

As soon as she walked into the base, she saw neat shouts coming from the training ground not far away—

”Count off!”

”1! 2! 3! 4! ...”

The morning light spilled onto the training ground at Tianlang Mountain, where a group of men wearing tactical vests were undergoing high-intensity training.

Some were running with heavy loads, muscles tense, sweat soaking their shirts;

Some were simulating close-quarters combat, punching swiftly with sharp eyes;

Others were performing weapon disassembly training, their movements fluid and without any hesitation.

At the very front of the team, Lin Xiao stood straight with a cold expression, dressed in a black training uniform, making him look full of military aura!

Standing not far away, Ye Nanxing watched all this quietly, raising an eyebrow slightly—

—It had only been a few days, and Lin Xiao had actually managed to pull together a team?

And had trained this group of people to be so disciplined?

Ye Nanxing stood on the side and watched for a while, until Lin Xiao noticed her and walked over, whispering.

”Miss Ye, the guard team has been initially established.”

”A total of 30 people have been recruited, all of whom are veterans, combat instructors, or professional-level combat experts. Among them, 8 have participated in special operations, 5 are professional-level combat experts, and the remaining 17 are all award-winning combat instructors.”

”They have completed basic tactical training, weapon usage, hand-to-hand combat, and emergency tactical cooperation. We conduct three rounds of live combat drills every day.”

Lin Xiao paused and added.

”Currently, their execution and combat effectiveness are already significantly stronger than most bodyguard teams on the market.”

Ye Nanxing scanned the team on the training ground, her gaze sinking slightly.

—This team really had the shadow of an army!

What she needed was not just mercenaries, but a guard force that truly belonged to her.

Although this group of people had not yet fully integrated, they already possessed a certain level of combat capability. If they continued to train in the future, they could definitely become her ”ace unit.”

Lin Xiao’s ability to train a group of ragtag soldiers into an organized combat team in such a short time truly far exceeded her expectations.

”What about weapons and equipment?”

Ye Nanxing asked.

Lin Xiao’s expression was somewhat serious.

”Close-quarters weapons have been equipped; stab-proof vests, tactical gloves, and military daggers are all available, but firearms can currently only be purchased on a small scale.”

Lin Xiao pursed his lips and continued.

”Firearm control is strict, and legal channels are limited. Even through the gray market, it requires a large amount of capital.”

After finishing, he continued in a deep voice.

”I can contact a few reliable channels, but the prices are expensive.”

Ye Nanxing said indifferently.

”Money is not an issue.”

Lin Xiao was stunned for a moment, then nodded solemnly.

”Understood.”

Ye Nanxing narrowed her eyes slightly, looking at the guard team on the training ground, and suddenly spoke.

”I want to see their true level.”

Lin Xiao was taken aback, clearly not expecting Ye Nanxing to propose testing them herself!

”You want to step in yourself?”

He frowned.

Ye Nanxing chuckled, her tone indifferent.

”Otherwise? No matter how good the resume looks on paper, it can’t compare to an actual fight.”

Since learning that spiritual spring water could improve physical fitness, Ye Nanxing had completely replaced her daily drinking water with spiritual spring water.

In her previous life, Ye Nanxing’s combat effectiveness could only be considered average, relying mainly on surprise and risking her life to seize opportunities.

The current Ye Nanxing not only possessed the combat skills of her previous life, but after this period of tempering her body with spiritual spring water, she couldn’t be called terrifyingly strong, but she was definitely not weak.

Lin Xiao’s gaze sank slightly as he re-evaluated this young woman.

He knew Ye Nanxing was courageous, but he thought she only had talent in strategic planning and at most some basic self-defense skills.

But at this moment, her eyes and aura—she didn’t look like an ordinary investor, but like a true warrior!

”Zhang Tian, come here.”

Lin Xiao quickly adjusted his mood and directly called over the member of the team most skilled in close-quarters combat.

Soon, a sturdy man walked over quickly; he was burly, with a steady gaze and the sharp aura unique to special forces soldiers.

”Miss Ye, this is Zhang Tian, who once served in a special operations brigade and is skilled in close-quarters combat.”

After Zhang Tian stood still, he looked at Ye Nanxing with a trace of doubt in his eyes.

He didn’t expect that this legendary business tycoon, who supposedly controlled vast funds and could cover the sky with one hand, would be a girl who looked so delicate and weak.

And she wanted to spar with him in real combat?

Was this appropriate?

”Spar with me?”

Ye Nanxing smiled, a glimmer of eagerness in her eyes.

Zhang Tian hesitated for a moment but couldn’t help looking at Lin Xiao.

Lin Xiao’s expression remained unchanged as he said indifferently.

”Follow orders.”

Zhang Tian immediately adjusted his state, assumed a fighting stance, and his gaze instantly became sharp.

”Please advise!”
