Apocalyptic Disaster: I Hoard Billions in Supplies and Kill the Saint

41: Chapter 41 The Tianlang Mountain Transformation PlanSince you’ve joined, it’s time to assign you some tasks.

Ye Nanxing handed Shen Qingyan a document that detailed the preliminary plan for the Tianlang Mountain Shelter base.

Shen Qingyan took the file, scanned it quickly, and raised an eyebrow slightly.

This was no ordinary renovation; it was a blueprint for building a military-grade survival fortress!

Defensive fortifications: modifying perimeter walls, setting up hidden sentry posts, and adding concealed bunkers and defense systems.

Living area construction: villa renovations, underground warehouse expansion, and the setup of farms and water purification systems.

Energy reserves: solar power generation, backup diesel power systems, and large-scale fuel stockpiling.

Material storage: food, medical supplies, fuel, and equipment, aiming to create a survival base capable of sustaining life for over ten years.

Shen Qingyan looked up at Ye Nanxing with a complex expression.

What exactly are you preparing for?

A future that no one can crush.

Ye Nanxing said calmly.

Shen Qingyan stared at her and suddenly let out a low laugh.

You really are a lunatic.

Thanks for the compliment.

Ye Nanxing smiled with absolute composure.

But aren’t you a lunatic too?

Shen Qingyan raised her eyebrows slightly and then shrugged.

Fine, since I’ve already agreed.

She closed the file, her gaze steady.

I’ll take the job. When do we start?

Now.

Can you drive?

Shen Qingyan was taken aback for a moment, then nodded.

Ye Nanxing tossed the car keys directly to her.

I have other things to attend to. All renovations and material stockpiling for Tianlang Mountain are officially in your hands.

Shen Qingyan caught the keys, tossed them in the air, and a hint of excitement appeared in her smile.

Don’t worry, I won’t let you down.

Shen Qingyan’s first task—the comprehensive renovation of the Tianlang Mountain Shelter—officially began!

Ye Nanxing and Shen Qingyan drove together to the Tianlang Mountain Shelter base.

Shen Qingyan sat in the passenger seat, frowning and deep in thought as she reviewed the renovation plan Ye Nanxing had prepared.

The reason Ye Nanxing was still driving was mainly to let Shen Qingyan familiarize herself with the route, while also allowing her to get a preliminary understanding of the task during the ride.

Your idea for this Shelter is very similar to the top-tier safe bases in Apocalypse novels.

She looked up at Ye Nanxing, her tone quite meaningful.

Ye Nanxing raised an eyebrow.

Oh? You read Apocalypse novels?

Of course.

Shen Qingyan said indifferently.

I used to enjoy studying layouts and rules for such extreme survival environments. If the world really were to collapse one day, the survival strategies mentioned in those novels would certainly come in handy.

Ye Nanxing glanced at her thoughtfully.

So, what do you think of my plan?

Shen Qingyan turned to look at Ye Nanxing with a complicated expression.

Ye Nanxing, this renovation plan of yours really looks like you’re preparing for war.

Ye Nanxing chuckled, her hands firmly gripping the steering wheel, her tone calm.

Something even worse than war.

Shen Qingyan was slightly startled. Seeing that Ye Nanxing didn’t continue, she didn’t press further and lowered her head to continue reviewing the file.

She trusted Ye Nanxing and knew her place; she wouldn’t ask unnecessary questions, as long as she did her best to complete the tasks assigned to her.

Villa renovations, wall reinforcement, underground warehouse expansion, solar and wind power systems... these ideas of yours are very thorough.

She paused, a hint of hesitation appearing in her eyes.

But are you sure you have enough money?

Ye Nanxing raised an eyebrow and replied offhandedly.

Don’t worry about funding; I have plenty of money.

Shen Qingyan: ...

She took a long look at Ye Nanxing and suddenly smiled.

Alright, then I won’t stand on ceremony.

It wasn’t that Shen Qingyan was greedy for money; it was that knowing there was sufficient funding meant she could let go and do more things she previously wouldn’t have dared to imagine!

Half an hour later, the off-road vehicle drove into Tianlang Mountain.

Standing at the top of the mountain overlooking the entire base, Shen Qingyan took a deep breath, her eyes filled with shock.

Looking out, the renovation of the entire hilltop was already taking shape—

A three-meter-high reinforced concrete wall was already half-erected, with anti-climb spikes installed on top, clearly specially reinforced.

One side of the mountain had been excavated, revealing the nascent form of a massive underground entrance, while several excavators were roaring in operation.

Several villas had completed basic renovations, and workers were busy laying down floor heating and smart electrical circuits.

Several wind power towers had been erected on the mountainside, and solar panels were also being installed, laying the foundation for future self-sufficiency.

All of this, in just a few short days!

Shen Qingyan couldn’t help but whisper.

This place... it’s practically a real-life Apocalypse fortress!

Shen Qingyan’s fingers tightened slightly, suppressing the excitement within her.

She had always been a fanatical fan of Apocalypse novels and had even studied various survival guides at home, but those had always been just fantasies—

And now, she was actually standing inside an Apocalypse base that was currently under construction!

Shen Qingyan turned her head sharply to look at Ye Nanxing, her eyes shining.

You’re actually doing this?! If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I would have thought you were joking with me!

Ye Nanxing stood to the side with her arms crossed, her expression calm.

Rather than a lunatic, I prefer to be called someone who plans ahead.

Shen Qingyan took a deep breath, her eyes flickering, and then she said decisively.

Since we’re already doing it, let’s do it the best we can!

After saying this, she immediately entered work mode, walked around the construction area, and carefully observed every detail.

A few minutes later, her expression became increasingly serious, and she began to constantly offer suggestions to Ye Nanxing—

Your current plan is to build perimeter walls, but after the Apocalypse, ordinary walls will be far from enough.

I suggest adding a double-layer defense net. The outer layer should use a high-voltage electric fence to deter ordinary creatures and humans, while the inner layer should be fitted with metal spiked walls, along with an automatic alarm system.

Furthermore, sentry towers must be built at the corners of the walls to ensure there are no blind spots in surveillance.

Ye Nanxing narrowed her eyes and nodded thoughtfully.

Not bad, that is indeed necessary.

Shen Qingyan continued.

Your underground air-raid Shelter renovation is crucial, but you’ve only considered material storage, not emergency evacuation scenarios.

You should divide it into several functional areas, such as a medical aid area, living area, and command area, and there must also be an independent air circulation system to prevent contamination by toxic gases from the outside.

You can’t stack all the weapons in one place; it’s too dangerous.

The best way is to store weapons and equipment in a dispersed manner across the underground warehouse, villa cluster, and sentry posts, so that even if attacked, you can quickly retrieve weapons to counterattack.

Most importantly—you must reserve a concealed escape route to ensure there is a final path to survival in the event the base is besieged!

Ye Nanxing’s gaze shifted, and the corners of her mouth curled up slightly.

You have a strong sense of crisis.

Shen Qingyan scoffed.

After reading so many Apocalypse novels, of course I know you need to have a backup plan.

The weapon reserves shouldn’t just be limited to cold weapons.

Shen Qingyan said seriously.
