Apocalyptic Disaster: I Hoard Billions in Supplies and Kill the Saint

7: Chapter 7 Nuclear-Level ShelterOne hour later, Aijia Real Estate Agency.

The agency manager handed over the contract with a beaming smile and asked excitedly.

”Miss Ye, your loan has been approved. You can pick up the keys now. When would be convenient for you?”

”Now.”

Ye Nanxing did not expect the agency manager to be so fast; the loan, which was expected to take three days, was processed in just one.

Looking at the manager’s excitement, she guessed the commission for this deal wouldn’t be small.

”Alright, once the transfer procedures for your old house are finished, I’ll accompany you to collect them. Is that okay?”

”Okay.”

In the span of an afternoon, the old house was successfully transferred.

Seeing the 2 million in her account, plus her previous savings of 400,000, Ye Nanxing now had a total of 2.4 million in funds, which should be enough for her to go all-in at the stone gambling market!

Ye Nanxing managed to get the keys to the duplex penthouse at Jinding Phoenix City just as the sales office was closing. Standing in the center of the room, she scanned her surroundings with a calm gaze.

The entire house was in a raw, unfinished state; the walls were unpainted, the floor was bare cement, but the layout was perfect for a Shelter.

She picked up her phone and dialed a highly-rated private custom renovation company.

The call connected, and a man’s voice responded gently: ”Hello, this is Shengtai Renovation. Are you Miss Ye?”

”Yes, I need a special renovation plan. It would be best to discuss it in person.”

”No problem. When would be convenient for you?”

The next day, at the top floor of Jinding Phoenix City.

The project manager sent by the renovation company was named Liu. In his thirties and experienced, his face showed a look of confusion as soon as he saw Ye Nanxing’s renovation plan.

”Miss Ye, the basic quality of this house is already very good. Per your requirements, we’ve already done anti-theft reinforcements and door and window fortification, but...”

”Explosion-proof walls, bank-grade bulletproof glass, and a triple power supply system—this level of protection rivals a bank vault. Isn’t that a bit exaggerated?”

”It needs to be even more secure than that.”

Ye Nanxing looked at him calmly, expressionless: ”You are the professional; I want to hear your opinion.”

Manager Liu carefully chose his words.

”If this were a military base or a bank vault, this kind of renovation would certainly be practical. But this is a residence... and a duplex apartment at that. No matter how good the security system is, there’s no need to go to this extent, right?”

The other renovation workers nodded in agreement.

”Yeah, this house isn’t a vault; there’s no need to go through all this trouble.”

Ye Nanxing smiled slightly, her tone unchanged.

”It’s the boss’s requirement; I’m just responsible for executing it.”

”As you know, this house is a private customization for a high-level executive in our company. He likes peace and quiet, doesn’t like to be disturbed, and has very high requirements for a sense of security.”

”On top of that, he is an extreme perfectionist who likes to eliminate all possible hidden dangers.”

She shrugged, her tone helpless: ”I also think it’s a bit exaggerated, but who made him the boss?”

Upon hearing that it was the ”boss’s” requirement, everyone suddenly understood and nodded in agreement.

Manager Liu sighed and smiled helplessly: ”Alright, Miss Ye, your boss is certainly cautious.”

”Yes, he is.”

Ye Nanxing went along with the conversation and smiled slightly.

”However, money is not an issue. Just ensure it’s done exactly as I said.”

Once the renovation team heard that, they had no more objections. As long as the money was there, everything was negotiable!

”We have a high-strength carbon steel lining structure specifically used for vault protection. After reinforcing the walls, it can withstand the impact of C4 explosives. Would you like to consider it?”

Ye Nanxing thought for a moment and said directly.

”Yes, but ensure it’s not visible from the outside.”

”Don’t worry about that. We can reinforce the inner layer and then finish the surface normally.”

”What about the doors?”

”High-strength explosion-proof metal doors with dual-encrypted biological fingerprint and mechanical lock cores. Even if this building explodes, the door won’t have any issues.”

Ye Nanxing nodded slightly: ”Install that.”

”What about the windows?”

”Multi-layered composite bulletproof glass, 40mm thick. It provides clear light and visibility, isn’t noticeable from the outside, and won’t even get scratched by ordinary bullets.”

The designer looked excited; after all, no designer could refuse such a challenging renovation.

”No problem.”

After finalizing the safety protection plan, Ye Nanxing continued to settle on the heating and power supply systems.

”The heating must be stable. Even if it’s minus 80 degrees outside, the indoor temperature must not drop to a fatal level.”

The designer said directly.

”I suggest installing a dual solar + fireplace system. Even if the outside power is cut off, solar energy can provide heating, and the fireplace can also provide heat.”

”I need something more stable.”

”If it’s for long-term independent use, we recommend a three-in-one combination: battery storage + diesel generator + solar panels.”

”Budget is no object. Use the best configuration.”

”Understood!”

The designer made an OK gesture and added.

”With this setup, even if the outside power is completely cut off, your house will still maintain a power supply.”

After solving the issues of house security, heating, and power, the next step was the comfort renovation.

Ye Nanxing was not the type to just make do. Even if the environment in the Apocalypse was harsh, she was going to live more comfortably than anyone else!

The designer asked: ”Miss Ye, do you have any special requirements for the layout of the house?”

Ye Nanxing said directly: ”Besides the bedrooms, there must be an independent fitness area, relaxation area, entertainment area, and sufficient kitchen storage space.”

The designer thought for a moment and replied.

”I will design two bedrooms for you to ensure living comfort.”

”I’ll set up a fitness area next to the master bedroom, installing professional-grade treadmills, spinning bikes, and multi-functional strength trainers, ensuring you can exercise without going out for long periods. A full-length mirror and one wall made into a foldable yoga wall will ensure flexibility in your workouts.”

”I’ll create a relaxation corner with a hidden massage chair and smart lighting system, equipped with a full set of audio equipment. I’ll also configure a reading bookshelf to store the various books she collects, ensuring it won’t be too boring during the Apocalypse.”

”The entertainment area will be equipped with a home theater and projection equipment so you can occasionally watch movies to relax. I’ll also install a high-end VR system to provide an immersive experience.”

”The kitchen will be designed as a combination of an open-plan Western kitchen and a closed Chinese kitchen, paired with a super-large 10-person dining table. Besides eating, you can also do crafts there.”

The designer introduced the layout and functional zoning of the house in as much detail as possible.

Ye Nanxing listened, feeling secretly excited inside, and vaguely began to look forward to the arrival of the Apocalypse.

”Add all of these, and make them the best.”

After all the projects were finalized, the designer took out a calculator and quickly estimated the cost.

”Miss Ye, the total quote for your custom plan is 1.5 million, and the construction period is expected to be six months.”

Ye Nanxing frowned slightly: ”Too slow. It must be accelerated.”

Manager Liu smiled bitterly: ”Miss Ye, this is already the limit speed. After all, many materials need to be customized...”

Ye Nanxing thought for a moment and said: ”A deposit of 500,000. The remaining balance will be settled after I return from out of town. Compress the construction period to one month, and I’ll add an extra 200,000.”

Everyone gasped, but... as long as the money was there, everything was negotiable!

Manager Liu gritted his teeth and said: ”Fine! We will arrange the workers immediately and start entering the site tonight!”

Ye Nanxing stood up, reached out her hand, and said: ”Pleasure doing business with you.”

The designer quickly shook her hand, smiling extremely sincerely: ”Miss Ye, rest assured. In three months, I guarantee this house will be the safest house in all of Luo City!”
