Apocalyptic Disaster: I Hoard Billions in Supplies and Kill the Saint

36: Chapter 36 The First EmployeeThe senior lawyer froze for a moment, then smiled.

”I mean, considering your assets, Miss Ye...”

”That’s enough.”

Ye Nanxing interrupted him, raising her hand casually to signal him to be silent.

Then, she turned to look at Han Yiran, her tone mild yet carrying a hint of appreciation.

”Are there any other issues in the contract?”

Accustomed to being suppressed, Han Yiran was initially hesitant, but seeing Ye Nanxing’s attitude, he gritted his teeth and continued.

”There are a few more unreasonable points.”

He turned to another page.

”Regarding the after-sales terms, the original contract does not clearly specify a period for spare parts supply. This means if the vehicles are damaged in a short time, and the other party does not provide repair parts, we will have to bear the repair costs ourselves.”

”Normally, for this type of bulk procurement contract, the spare parts supply period should be specified as at least 5 years.”

”Also, regarding the breach of contract compensation terms, the other party’s liability is too light; they only need to pay ’1% of the total contract amount’ as a penalty. This means even if they only deliver half the vehicles in the end, we won’t be able to claim more.”

After finishing, he looked at Ye Nanxing somewhat nervously, his palms slightly sweaty.

He knew that his actions just now had offended the machinery company and the lead lawyer from his firm.

He didn’t know what Ye Nanxing would do, but at least as a lawyer, his professional ethics did not allow him to turn a blind eye to this.

However, to everyone’s surprise—

Ye Nanxing suddenly chuckled, a hint of amusement in her eyes.

”Han Yiran, you’re quite good.”

Her tone was mild, but upon hearing it, Han Yiran’s heart gave a violent jolt!

She... was affirming him?!

Ye Nanxing casually closed the contract and looked coldly at the person in charge from the machinery company.

”Change the contract.”

The person in charge’s face looked unpleasant, and he hesitated.

”Miss Ye, this contract...”

”I have no patience.”

Ye Nanxing said indifferently.

”Change it, or I’ll buy from someone else.”

The other party immediately broke into a cold sweat.

This order was a massive deal worth 230 million; the machinery company simply couldn’t afford to lose it!

In less than half an hour, the contract was revised, with all terms changed according to Han Yiran’s suggestions. In the end—Ye Nanxing saved a full 45 million!

After signing the contract, Ye Nanxing stood up and said casually.

”Han Yiran, what is your current compensation?”

Han Yiran was stunned for a moment, then answered honestly.

”Internship salary at the law firm is 4,000 per month.”

The corners of Ye Nanxing’s lips curled up slightly, her tone casual.

”Work for me, and your annual salary starts at 5 million.”

Han Yiran’s eyes widened sharply!

The lead lawyer’s face instantly turned pale, and the people from the machinery company also looked at Ye Nanxing in shock.

This... is this changing one’s destiny in a second?!

Han Yiran spoke almost subconsciously.

”Miss Ye, I...”

”Think it through before you speak.”

Ye Nanxing’s tone was indifferent.

”But you only get one chance.”

Han Yiran took a deep breath, his gaze firm, and he suddenly bowed, his voice forceful—

”Miss Ye, I’m willing!”

Ye Nanxing smiled slightly.

”Very well, starting tomorrow, you are the first official employee of my company.”

Ye Nanxing turned and left, leaving behind a stunned conference room!

Han Yiran stood in place, his fists slightly clenched, a surge of unprecedented adrenaline rising in his heart—

His destiny had finally begun to change!

After the vehicle procurement was completed, Ye Nanxing’s next step was to purchase a mountain to build an Apocalypse shelter base!

This time, the target was locked onto—

The northern suburbs of Luo City, Tianlang Mountain!

Tianlang Mountain is located in the north of Luo City, about 50 kilometers from the urban area. It has a vast area, a natural lake on the mountain, uneven terrain, and rich vegetation. Most importantly—this place was originally a privately contracted abandoned forest farm that had been deserted years ago due to poor management, and is now being sold off by the government at a low price!

The reason Ye Nanxing chose this place was that in her previous life, she heard that there was a large shelter base in Luo City. At that time, she had stockpiled quite a lot of supplies and thought there would be no problem, but she didn’t expect to be schemed against by that dog Zhou Yixuan in the end.

”I want to buy Tianlang Mountain. How do I handle the procedures?”

Ye Nanxing directly called the Land and Resources Bureau.

The person who answered the phone was a middle-aged Staff member, and after receiving the call, he was stunned for a moment before stuttering.

”Y-you want to buy Tianlang Mountain?!”

”Yes.”

Ye Nanxing’s tone was calm.

”I have already checked the property rights situation of this mountain. It was previously a privately contracted forest farm, and now it is managed by the municipal government, which is looking for a new contractor, right?”

The Staff member immediately became serious.

”Yes... Miss Ye, what do you intend to use it for?”

”Eco-agriculture.”

Ye Nanxing spouted nonsense casually.

”Investing in a forest farm, engaging in animal husbandry and planting.”

”Ah, that does comply with the policy...”

The Staff member flipped through the documents, speaking with slight hesitation.

”But the terrain of Tianlang Mountain is complex, and many areas are not suitable for large-scale development, so no one has taken it over...”

Actually, there was another very important reason why this place had been abandoned: feng shui issues.

All major investors generally believed in feng shui, and after several successive projects failed, no one was willing to take over this place anymore.

But the Staff member would absolutely not mention these things.

Ye Nanxing was unaware of the reason, but even if she knew, she wouldn’t care. After all, how could even the worst feng shui be worse than the Apocalypse?!

Not wanting to waste time, Ye Nanxing interrupted directly.

”How much?”

”The current listed price is 30 million.”

”Full payment. I’ll handle the paperwork tomorrow.”

The Staff member: ”...”

W-what kind of godly investor is this?!

This barren mountain that their government had listed for three years was actually bought in full by someone today?!

The next day, Ye Nanxing took Han Yiran and drove to Tianlang Mountain for an inspection.

Along the way, Han Yiran still couldn’t quite believe it.

”President Ye, do you really intend to buy this mountain?”

Ye Nanxing said indifferently.

”Why? Do you think it’s not worth it?”

Han Yiran shook his head quickly.

”No... I’m just a bit shocked. After all, this is an entire mountain!”

Ye Nanxing smiled and didn’t explain much.

Of course, she wouldn’t tell Han Yiran that this mountain would become her survival base after the Apocalypse, and possibly even one of the few remaining paradises for humanity!

Thinking of this, her eyes became even more profound.

Soon, the vehicle arrived at the foot of the mountain.

A local government official had been waiting for a long time, and upon seeing Ye Nanxing, he hurried to greet her.

”Miss Ye, are you really going to buy Tianlang Mountain?”

Ye Nanxing nodded.

”Take me to see it.”

The group walked up along the mountain road.

Although Tianlang Mountain was a barren mountain, the forest was dense, the air was fresh, and along the way, one could even see wild rabbits, pheasants, deer, and other animals, with an extremely rich ecosystem.

On the mountainside, there was a natural stream with clear water, and the government official explained.

”This stream comes from the reservoir lake at the top of the mountain; even in dry years, it will not completely dry up.”

Ye Nanxing smiled slightly.

Having a water source meant that the possibility of survival was greatly increased!

Further up, there was a small group of unfinished villas. This was a pleasant surprise for Ye Nanxing, as it saved her the trouble of building a base; she could just renovate them and move in.

She continued walking to the top of the mountain, finally standing at the peak, overlooking the entire Luo City, her heart jolting slightly.

This place, no wonder it would become the survival base in her previous life; at that time, she had stockpiled quite a lot of supplies and thought there would be no problem, but she didn’t expect to be schemed against by that dog Zhou Yixuan in the end.
