Apocalyptic Disaster: I Hoard Billions in Supplies and Kill the Saint

52: Chapter 52 Cult Organization?Family members may move into Tianlang Mountain Base, but they must undergo strict screening.

They must sign a confidentiality agreement (anyone who leaks information will be immediately expelled from the base).

They must obey the base’s rules and regulations (do not interfere with military decisions, do not cause internal conflict).

All family members must be assigned labor tasks; they cannot just eat without working!

If family members are unwilling to enter the base, their admission will be forfeited!

Ye Nanxing will not force anyone!

But, if they miss this opportunity, they should never come back!

Ye Nanxing said calmly.

”We need soldiers, but we cannot leave them isolated and helpless.”

Lin Xiao nodded solemnly.

”This way, they will be more loyal.”

This unit is not just a combat force, but a brotherhood willing to risk their lives for each other!

After Ye Nanxing finished speaking, the conference room fell into a brief silence.

She looked at everyone and spoke indifferently.

”Those who do not agree may leave now.”

No one spoke.

Everyone knew that this was the best solution, and the only solution.

A moment later, Zhang Tian was the first to stand up and take a deep breath.

”...I have no objections; I will have my parents and sister move in as soon as possible.”

Lin Xiao nodded.

”I support Nanxing’s decision.”

Shen Qingyan glanced at Ye Nanxing and sighed.

”You’ve convinced me; I will be responsible for settling the family members.”

Immediately after, everyone expressed their agreement!

Before the meeting ended, Ye Nanxing added one last thing.

Her expression was icy, her tone calm, yet it carried a sense of oppression that made people’s backs go cold—

”If any family members cause trouble in the base, disobey management, or even attempt to leak information—”

”They will be executed without exception!”

The air suddenly froze.

Everyone’s heart jolted, and they felt a chill run through them!

Only then did they realize—

Ye Nanxing was not joking.

November 20, 2037, with 6 days left before the base completely seals off.

According to the original plan, all family members of the guard unit were supposed to return within 7 days, and the base gates would be completely sealed after the designated time, no longer accepting any outsiders.

But—things did not go as planned!

At the main gate of Tianlang Mountain Base, there was chaos.

A group of emotional family members gathered outside the gate, their faces filled with anger, confusion, and disbelief.

”My son was tricked by you, right? Let him come out now!”

”Are you running some kind of cult? Hiding in the deep mountains for refuge? Ridiculous!”

”What is this? Illegal detention! If you don’t release them, I’m calling the police!”

A middle-aged woman, face full of anxiety, grabbed a base soldier, her eyes filled with terror and anger.

”Where is Xiaojun? Let him out! He didn’t do this voluntarily; you forced him, didn’t you?”

The soldier frowned, suppressing his impatience.

”Ma’am, we didn’t force anyone; everyone entered the base voluntarily.”

The woman shouted loudly.

”Nonsense! My son wouldn’t abandon me and his father; he’s been brainwashed by you!”

Meanwhile, inside the base, a guard member was on the phone, anxiously trying to persuade his family.

”Mom, pack your things quickly; I’ve already arranged a car to pick you up!”

On the other end of the line, a woman’s voice was distorted with anger.

”Have you gone crazy?! You’re a grown man, how can you still believe these Apocalypse rumors?! You’ve been in that base too long; have you been tricked until your brain is broken?!”

”It’s not like that! Mom, listen to me—”

”Stop talking nonsense! Get back here right now! What base? I think it’s just a pyramid scheme den!”

The guard member turned pale, his lips trembling slightly.

He wanted to continue persuading her, but his angry mother had already hung up the phone.

—His family did not believe him.

Outside the base, similar situations were constantly occurring.

Some roared, some cried, and some wanted to barge in with anger on their faces, only to be coldly stopped by the guards.

”Has everyone gone crazy?! The end of the world? Bullshit!”

”Let us in now! I’m taking my family home!”

”You must have been brainwashed! Wake up!”

Some people even took out their phones and dialed the police.

”Hello, is this 110? There are people here illegally detaining family members; send someone to save them!”

But on the other end of the line, the police only responded coldly.

”Sir, we do not handle such family disputes; please resolve it yourself.”

—The family members were completely panicked.

Shen Qingyan held the summarized data, her face gloomy.

”Nanxing, the situation is worse than we imagined.”

She looked up at Ye Nanxing, her tone carrying a hint of worry.

”At least nearly one-third of the guard members’ families do not believe the Apocalypse is coming and refuse to enter the base.”

”Some even threatened to call the police.”

Beside the conference table, Lin Xiao sneered, arms crossed.

”Call the police? What do they think this is? An ordinary public security case? Once the Apocalypse truly descends, not a single emergency call will go through.”

Besides, Ye Nanxing’s base is an eco-agricultural project recognized by the government; all personnel are registered and have signed labor contracts. Although these things will be useless in the Apocalypse, they can still save a lot of trouble before it arrives.

Furthermore, although Han Yiran is an intern lawyer, he is ruthless when handling matters.

Ye Nanxing is very satisfied with this point.

Zhang Tian frowned and said in a deep voice.

”But if they don’t believe us, there’s nothing we can do. Take them by force? That would really become kidnapping.”

Shen Qingyan sighed.

”Many guard members are now in a dilemma. They don’t want to abandon their families, but their families don’t believe them at all, and even try to persuade them to leave the base.”

”If this continues, I’m afraid some members will waver.”

Everyone fell silent.

Everyone looked at Ye Nanxing, waiting for her decision.

Her expression was calm, without the slightest hesitation.

She only said two words—

”Give up.”

Everyone was stunned.

”Give up?”

Shen Qingyan asked subconsciously.

Ye Nanxing’s gaze was cold, her tone devoid of any emotion.

”Those who do not believe can never be saved.”

”The world is still normal right now, so they cannot see the crisis; they think tomorrow will be just like today.”

”But they won’t imagine that in less than two months, everything will collapse.”

She slowly scanned everyone, her gaze cold and heavy.

”When they finally realize the Apocalypse has arrived—”

”—They will never have another chance.”

Zhang Tian swallowed and couldn’t help but say.

”But... they are our family!”

Ye Nanxing’s voice was cold, her tone like a blade.

”But have you thought about what they will do in the future after the Apocalypse arrives if they refuse to believe you now?”

She looked at Zhang Tian, her gaze sharp.

”When you finally manage to bring your family into the base, will they secretly leak information about the base to refugees outside?”

”When food is scarce, will they sneak out to try and steal other people’s supplies?”

”When the base makes a difficult decision, will they secretly disobey orders because they ’can’t bear it’?”

”If a person does not trust you, they will never follow your rules.”

”Such family members will only become a burden if they enter the base.”

Ye Nanxing’s tone was steady, yet it made everyone present feel a chill in their hearts.

”Therefore, from this moment on—”

She scanned her surroundings, her voice cold.

”All family members who are unwilling to enter the base will automatically forfeit their eligibility.”

”Guard members are not to attempt any further persuasion.”

”This is their choice; we will not force anyone.”

”But please remember.”

”What they are choosing to reject is not you, but the chance to survive.”
