Apocalyptic Disaster: I Hoard Billions in Supplies and Kill the Saint

53: Chapter 53 Han Yiran Makes a MoveNovember 22, 2037, outside Tianlang Mountain Base, at the entry registration office.

The sky gradually grew overcast, and a cold wind howled.

At the base entrance, the crowd was surging, but the atmosphere at this moment was filled with anxiety and unease.

The families of the security team members were arriving one after another, but more and more ”excess personnel” were appearing—

Operating on the idea that anyone who doesn’t take advantage of a bargain is a fool, some brought distant relatives, some offered bribes to plead their case, and some even directly threatened the base!

”Nanxing, my girlfriend is pregnant, can’t you let her in?”

”Captain, this is my cousin, he is really reliable, can you make an exception?”

”Nanxing, my brother is even more loyal than I am. You let me in, so you can’t just block him outside, right?”

”My grandmother is already seventy! How many resources could she possibly consume? Can’t you even afford to support one more person?”

”Brother, I have something for you. Take it, and do me a favor by registering them.”

A family member quietly handed over a stack of cash, winking at the registrar.

Others made direct threats: ”No matter how powerful Tianlang Mountain Base is, you can’t stop public opinion! If I’m blocked outside, I’ll go back and publish all the information about this place! I’ll let everyone know how many supplies you’re hiding!”

In just a few minutes, the order at the scene almost collapsed!

Shen Qingyan looked at the increasing number of people trying to exploit loopholes, her face turning livid.

”Nanxing, what should we do?”

On the high platform, Ye Nanxing silently watched all of this.

Her gaze was cold, like a sharp sword, sweeping across the chaotic scene before her.

Her voice was unhurried, yet filled with unquestionable authority—

”All excess personnel are strictly refused!”

”Anyone, no matter who they are, who brings people in without authorization will be directly expelled from the base!”

”No exceptions.”

”No leniency.”

”No bargaining.”

The voice was cold and hard, showing no mercy!

The scene instantly fell silent.

Those who had been harboring wishful thinking saw their expressions change one by one.

”Nanxing, isn’t this too heartless? My cousin is a human too! How much can he eat?”

”Even if you don’t accept them, can’t we just support them ourselves? Do we not even have that right?”

”Nanxing, don’t go too far! People have hearts!”

”If you don’t let me in, I’ll go outside and reveal all the information about the base, so everyone will know how many supplies are hoarded here!”

The air seemed to freeze instantly.

Lin Xiao and Zhang Tian’s expressions turned gloomy, and they vigilantly stared at the person who had spoken the threat.

Ye Nanxing just glanced at him indifferently and lightly uttered one word—

”Kill.”

In an instant, everyone’s complexion changed drastically!

An indescribable chill instantly permeated the air!

Those previously arrogant family members instantly turned pale, cold sweat dripping, their lips trembling, unable to say a word for a long time.

Ye Nanxing’s tone was icy.

”Here, there is no room for bargaining.”

”Rules are rules; the base does not need people who break them.”

”Whoever dares to threaten the base by leaking its information—”

She narrowed her eyes, her voice extremely cold.

”—will be executed without mercy.”

Seeing that Ye Nanxing was about to explode, Han Yiran decisively took action. After all, it wasn’t the Apocalypse yet, and these minor matters didn’t require his boss to personally intervene. The moment had arrived to prove that his salary was well-earned.

Inside the base’s high-level conference room.

Han Yiran slammed a stack of documents onto the table, his cold gaze sweeping over the security team members present.

”This is a list.”

”The people on this list brought in others without authorization during the family entry process, violating the base’s management regulations.”

”Even worse, some threatened to leak information about the base.”

He paused, his tone icy: ”According to the contract, all security team members agreed to obey the arrangements of the base’s supreme commander when signing the entry agreement.”

”Bringing people in without authorization is considered a violation of base discipline, and according to the contract—”

”—your employment contract is terminated, and you are expelled from the base immediately!”

Upon hearing this, the security team members who had violated the rules panicked!

”Lawyer Han! You can’t do this! My family has already entered, and you want me to leave now? Where am I supposed to go?!”

”That’s right! I know I was wrong! Don’t fire me!”

”I can guarantee that I will never violate the rules again!”

Han Yiran’s expression was indifferent. He opened the contract, flipped to a page, and said in a voice devoid of any emotion:

”According to Article 7 of the contract, the base holds the right of final interpretation.”

”The base’s survival resources are limited, and discipline is more important than anything else.”

”You made your own choices, so you must bear the consequences.”

”The base is not a charity.”

He picked up the stamp on the table and slammed it down hard—

”Contract terminated.”

Immediately after, he waved to the soldiers at the door: ”Take everyone on this list out.”

The security team acted immediately, escorting them to the base entrance before they could even react.

November 22, 2037, evening.

Outside Tianlang Mountain Base.

A dozen security team members and the family members they had brought in unauthorized stood at the base entrance, their faces ashen.

They tried to knock on the door and plead, but the base gate had already slowly closed, leaving no room for any reversal.

What made them even more desperate was—

They didn’t even know where the base was!

When they came to the base, they traveled in fully enclosed convoys equipped with signal shielding devices. After all security team members moved in, their mobile phones were confiscated. Even if some were hidden, it didn’t matter because the signal for the entire mountain had been shielded from the very beginning.

The base’s coordinate information had always been well-hidden!

At this moment, Ye Nanxing had already sent people to take them to the nearest train station.

This group of expelled individuals was sent in batches onto different trains, completely severing their connection with the base.

From now on, they would never find their way back.

And the name Tianlang Mountain would not appear on any map at all.

Because maps only show official information, and the three words ”Tianlang Mountain” are only known to a few locals.

This was also the reason why everyone knew about Tianlang Mountain after they were brought in at the beginning.

When the last vehicle taking away the expelled individuals left, Tianlang Mountain Base finally returned to peace.

The security team members stood inside the base, watching the world in the distance gradually sink into darkness, their hearts filled with complex emotions.

Lin Xiao walked to Ye Nanxing’s side and whispered.

”Will those people... come back for revenge?”

Ye Nanxing’s expression was indifferent.

”They don’t even know where this place is.”

”If they can find their way back, it means there is a problem with the base’s security protocols.”

She turned to look at Shen Qingyan.

”From today on, re-verify the identities of all team members.”

”Handle anyone who is suspicious immediately.”

Shen Qingyan took a deep breath and nodded.

The sky grew darker as night fell.

But Tianlang Mountain Base was already as solid as a rock.
