Apocalyptic Disaster: I Hoard Billions in Supplies and Kill the Saint

58: Chapter 58 Crisis Approaches QuietlySuburbs of North City.

Ye Nanxing drove the black SUV, speeding along a remote snowy path, moving away from the coal storage area.

The atmosphere inside the car was quiet and steady, with only the low roar of the engine echoing in the night.

Sun Hao’s voice came through the car’s communicator.

”Boss, target completed?”

Ye Nanxing held the steering wheel with one hand, her gaze calm.

”Yeah, it’s done.”

”Good! We’ll wait for you at the safe point in the East City.”

There was a hint of excitement in Sun Hao’s tone.

The corners of Ye Nanxing’s mouth curled up slightly.

”Change the meeting point; go directly to the Jinding Phoenix City high-rise Shelter.”

”Understood.”

The night shrouded the entire city.

Ye Nanxing drove the black SUV, avoiding surveillance cameras, skillfully weaving through the streets and alleys, and finally arrived at the high-end residential area in the city center—Jinding Phoenix City.

This was the most top-tier luxury residential complex in North City, with the top floor being a privately customized high-end apartment. But what no one knew was that this top-floor apartment was actually a nuclear-blast-grade Shelter!

In the parking lot, Zhang Tianjin, Sun Hao, Zhao Wei, and Zhou Cheng had already been waiting for a long time.

Seeing Ye Nanxing return, Sun Hao smiled relaxedly.

”Did the operation go smoothly?”

Ye Nanxing didn’t speak, just nodded slightly.

The elevator rose slowly. Ye Nanxing stood in front of the elevator doors and said in a low voice.

”From now on, we will hide here temporarily and wait for the situation to change.”

Sun Hao shook the snow off his body, threw off his gloves, and asked.

”The government has already started restricting coal transportation. What do we do next?”

Ye Nanxing scanned everyone and said indifferently.

”Rest for the night first, and we’ll discuss the plan tomorrow morning.”

The others nodded without speaking, and the elevator went straight to the top-floor apartment.

*Ding*—the elevator doors slowly opened, and what came into view was an extremely luxurious Shelter!

”This place... it looks low-key, but it’s actually an Apocalypse fortress!”

As soon as Zhang Tianjin stepped into the apartment, he couldn’t help but exclaim.

The duplex apartment had two floors with a total area of 300 square meters. It was originally just a high-end residence, but after Ye Nanxing made money in South City, she underwent multiple renovations, turning it into a true Apocalypse Shelter.

Internal configurations included:

Independent heating system: even if the power is cut off outside, the room temperature can still be maintained above 25°C.

Five-year food reserve: all vacuum-packed high-calorie food and military rations.

Independent water circulation system: can purify water sources and store 30 tons of drinking water.

Bulletproof glass and reinforced walls: enough to withstand external impacts and even small-scale explosions.

Holographic monitoring system: can monitor the situation of the entire building and is equipped with listening functions.

Zhao Wei touched the metal wall and said in a low voice.

”This wall is not simple; it’s at least military-grade explosion-proof alloy.”

Ye Nanxing said indifferently.

”I made a profit in South City, so I added some equipment after coming back.”

Sun Hao looked around and couldn’t help but click his tongue.

”Our Shelter is much more useful than the mansions of those rich people outside.”

Ye Nanxing smiled and didn’t say much.

Rich people can buy mansions, but they cannot buy real survival capability.

The group sat in the living room. Shen Qingyan did not return as she was responsible for managing supplies at the base, so Ye Nanxing led this operation personally.

Ye Nanxing took out a specially made encrypted mobile phone and pulled up the account balance.

1.2 billion in cash.

Zhang Tianjin was surprised.

”Nanxing, we purchased so many things before, how is there still so much left?”

Zhao Wei’s eyes lit up.

”Could it be that you laid out some plans in advance?”

The corners of Ye Nanxing’s mouth curled slightly.

”Just some lessons.”

All of this had to be ”thanked” to that scumbag from her past life—Zhou Yixuan.

In her past life, her boyfriend Zhou Yixuan was a crazy stock market speculator. Every day he would nag her with various stock information and even disregarded her advice, throwing all their family savings into it.

As a result, the few stocks he chose multiplied dozens of times in just a few months.

In her past life, Ye Nanxing didn’t take this seriously, but now looking back, this information was practically ”money sent during the Apocalypse”.

Therefore, she laid out her plans in advance, reaping a huge harvest before the stock market completely collapsed. Now, her funds were abundant enough to stockpile another round of supplies.

”1.2 billion... enough for our next operations.”

Although Shen Qingyan had made up for the supplies that Ye Nanxing had missed during this period, but... who would complain about having too many supplies?

Ye Nanxing said indifferently.

”While the market hasn’t completely collapsed yet, we still have one last chance to purchase.”

Zhang Tianjin nodded and said.

”Action tomorrow?”

”Yes.”

Ye Nanxing’s gaze was sharp.

”Tomorrow, we will split up and sweep up all the supplies we can.”

Outside the window, a blizzard raged, and the wind howled over the city. Snow quickly covered the streets, vehicles, and buildings, wrapping the entire North City in a vast white world.

The streetlights were dim, and sirens could be heard from time to time. Occasionally, one could see people dragging dilapidated carts, walking arduously in the snow, trying to find coal or food.

Cold, hunger, and panic were quietly spreading in this city.

But inside the duplex Shelter on the top floor of Jinding Phoenix City, it was a completely different scene.

Bright, warm yellow light spilled into the spacious living room, and the flames in the fireplace danced, making the whole space feel warm and peaceful.

Ye Nanxing and the other four sat around the solid wood dining table. On the table was a freshly cooked mutton hot pot, with steaming white mist rising, and a rich aroma filled the air.

The soup base was broth made from beef bones, and the snow-white mutton slices curled slightly in the rolling soup, with a layer of rich oil floating on top.

Zhang Tianjin picked up a slice of mutton with a mix of fat and lean meat, dipped it in some seasoning, put it in his mouth, and couldn’t help but sigh.

”To be able to eat mutton hot pot at a time like this, it’s truly a luxury.”

Sun Hao took a bite of the hot mutton, his eyes slightly narrowed, his face full of satisfaction.

”Many people outside might not even be able to drink a mouthful of hot soup. Our treatment is practically like being on vacation at a winter camp.”

Zhao Wei swirled the goblet in his hand, the amber liquid sloshing in the cup, and he chuckled.

”If those people fighting for coal in the coal market outside knew that we were eating hot pot and drinking red wine here, they would probably be angered to death.”

Zhou Cheng held the red wine glass, gently swirled it, with a faint smile on his lips.

”That’s why they say information asymmetry is the most expensive thing in the world. Most people are still panicking, but Nanxing has already paved the way for our future.”

Inside the entire Shelter, it was warm and comfortable, forming a sharp contrast with the cold world outside.

Two hours later.

The heat from the hot pot had not yet dissipated, but the atmosphere inside the Jinding Phoenix City top-floor Shelter had quietly changed.

Ye Nanxing stared at the terminal screen in her hand, lines of the latest intelligence jumping out, her expression instantly turning serious.

The Apocalypse arrived three months early.

Her voice was low but firm:

”It has changed... now it’s no longer just a matter of resource shortages.”

”According to reconnaissance data, there have been multiple cases of abnormal deaths at the West City Hospital, the First Detention Center, and other places since early this morning... Preliminary judgment is that it is a virus spread, a phenomenon of corpses reanimating!”

”Simply put—zombies have appeared.”
