Apocalyptic Disaster: I Hoard Billions in Supplies and Kill the Saint

63: Chapter 63 The situation is already in chaos.Luo City, Future Science Museum.

The wind and snow grew fiercer, heavy snow pressing down from above.

This science museum, once known as the ”City’s Eye of the Future,” was now a silent, dead place.

Large swaths of silver-white covered the streamlined glass exterior walls, and the entrance access control system had long since failed.

Zhao Wei, chewing on a piece of candy, looked at the building in front of him, his mouth twitching:

”Isn’t this place a government-controlled unit? Are you sure it hasn’t been sealed off?”

Ye Nanxing’s eyes were calm: ”This isn’t the time for ’control,’ it’s the time for ’seizing the initiative’.”

”The official blockade is still within the third ring road; we are on the edge of the fourth ring, so there’s still time.”

Zhang Tianjin rubbed his hands: ”I heard the third floor of this science museum is an experimental exhibition area, with AI, nanotechnology, bionic technology... It’s possible to find batteries, fuel modules, and even—medical assistant AI.”

Zhou Cheng nodded: ”Most importantly... the underground energy storage warehouse here is the transit point for the city’s civil emergency power supply.”

”In other words... as long as we take the science museum, it’s equivalent to seizing a future energy core before the Apocalypse.”

Ye Nanxing looked toward the depths of the building, her gaze like a hawk.

In her previous life, she had vaguely heard that the science museum had released a secret weapon, but this news was well-hidden, and no one knew exactly what it was.

In this life, she had to come and see.

It would be best if this secret weapon could belong to her.

Ye Nanxing and the others entered the main exhibition hall easily; it was empty inside.

The five of them dispersed to search for any valuable technological supplies—

Electromagnetic pulse batteries, quantum backup chips, high-voltage lithium battery packs, automatic manufacturing machine cores, portable medical AI systems...

Zhang Tianjin even dug out a ”Post-Disaster Family Survival Kit” from behind a display cabinet, which included emergency oxygen tanks, water purification devices, temperature-regulating blankets, and an automatic fracture fixation device!

”Damn, this would be so much more convenient if used on Sun Hao!” he said, pleasantly surprised.

Zhao Wei pulled out three large boxes of micro-reconnaissance drones from a corner, almost jumping with excitement.

”We’re rich! This thing can go through alleys, detect heat sources, and even remotely mark targets!”

Just as everyone was excitedly packing, Zhou Cheng suddenly paused and looked back to see:

Ye Nanxing, right in front of everyone, standing in the center of the exhibition hall, waving her right hand.

”Swish!”

The supplies that had just been collected instantly disappeared.

”What... the hell is this?!” Zhang Tianjin’s eyes widened, his hands even trembling as he moved things.

Zhao Wei clicked his tongue, the candy in his mouth falling out: ”Damn, what the hell... am I seeing ghosts?! Where did the stuff go???”

Ye Nanxing swept a calm glance at everyone.

”The items were collected into my space.”

”Don’t be surprised; I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want to waste time explaining.”

”Space... is that also an ability? Is it the kind written about in novels?” Zhang Tianjin asked, looking somewhat dazed.

”It’s exactly the kind you’re thinking of, so next time you search for supplies, don’t bother separating them—just pile them on me.”

Zhou Cheng muttered: ”...Sister Ye, how many more secrets do you have?”

”Secrets aren’t important.”

Ye Nanxing sucked a batch of high-tech equipment into her space, her gaze turning to the last sealed electromagnetic door in front, and said calmly.

”What’s important is—we’re running out of time.”

After they swept the upper floors clean, they finally arrived at the core level beneath the science museum.

The dilapidated elevator shaft still bore traces of dynamite explosions, with charred walls and exposed steel bars.

Not long after Ye Nanxing and the others retreated from the emergency passage, a low engine roar sounded from the other side.

”Clang—”

A tightly closed metal security door was violently kicked open from the outside.

”Squad deployment? Are you with the military?”

Zhao Wei drew his gun suddenly, his voice lowered to the limit.

More than a dozen fully armed figures filed in, the leader wearing a special black bulletproof jacket with a simplified storm logo printed on the shoulder, his eyes as sharp as a hawk’s, walking step by step.

”Zhou Xiao.”

Ye Nanxing’s eyes flickered, recognizing this leader of a deviant group who had become famous in the early stages of the Apocalypse.

—In her previous life, Zhou Xiao had formed a paramilitary organization called ”Wind Eye,” carved out his own territory in the North District, and died early, but before he died, he revealed a shocking secret:

He was among the first batch of ”Awakened Ones.”

”I guess you’ve already taken quite a few things.”

Zhou Xiao’s tone wasn’t hurried; he glanced at the remaining high-voltage energy storage cores and medical auxiliary equipment in the corner of the warehouse, the corner of his mouth curling up.

”You couldn’t possibly carry all these things.”

After he finished speaking, he clapped his hands lightly—

Behind him, a petite woman suddenly raised her hands, and faint electric currents appeared between her fingers!

”That is—” Zhou Cheng gasped, ”An ability?!”

Zhao Wei’s expression changed, and he immediately loaded his weapon.

Ye Nanxing, however, did not move; she just looked at Zhou Xiao coldly, her tone indifferent:

”Are you here to rob us?”

”Of course not.” Zhou Xiao smiled, unslung the modified rifle from his shoulder, and carried it on his shoulder, ”I’m just extending an invitation.”

”We’ll split all the resources in this place fifty-fifty; on the condition that you join our ’Wind Eye’.”

”This city will soon be blockaded; lone wolves won’t survive, banding together is the only way out.”

Zhang Tianjin asked in a low voice: ”Captain... should we consider it?”

Zhao Wei, however, glanced at Ye Nanxing and whispered: ”This guy isn’t simple; the aura on him is too oppressive... it feels like he doesn’t belong to the ranks of ordinary people.”

Ye Nanxing was silent for three seconds, then lightly spat out two words:

”Refused.”

The air seemed to freeze for a moment.

Zhou Xiao raised an eyebrow: ”You don’t intend to consider it? Join us, and you’ll be safer.”

Ye Nanxing’s voice was cold:

”I don’t trust anyone. Especially someone like you who can still smile so brightly after a disaster.”

”This isn’t a world where you should be smiling.”

Ye Nanxing stepped forward, standing in front of her group, staring face-to-face at Zhou Xiao.

”Since you’re not here to rob us, then you take half, and we’ll take the other half.”

”You walk your broad road, and I’ll walk my narrow one.”

Zhou Xiao watched her for a few seconds, then suddenly laughed.

”Fine, you’re a straightforward person.”

He turned his head and waved at his subordinates: ”Pack up the stuff, retreat.”

But just before leaving, he suddenly looked back and said meaningfully to Ye Nanxing:

”If there’s a day you can’t survive, remember to come find me.”

”I don’t mind taking you in once.”

Ye Nanxing didn’t look back, her figure cold and sharp as a blade.

”But I do mind, handing my life over to someone else.”

An old tactical vehicle drove out from the side door, kicking up snow and dust.

After Zhou Xiao and his group left, Zhou Cheng finally breathed a sigh of relief.

”Captain, are you really not considering cooperating? He actually already has ability users on his side...”

”The earlier someone appears with abilities, the faster they die.”

Ye Nanxing said calmly, looking up at the gray-white sky buried by wind and snow.

In her mind, fragments that had never appeared in her previous life’s memories echoed:

—The appearance of abilities was originally supposed to happen half a year after the zombie outbreak, after screening through ”virus compatibility test subjects,” before they slowly awakened.

But now, the timeline is chaotic.

Even ”Wind Eye” has already had ability users appear in advance...

”The situation,” she murmured softly, ”has already begun to be completely chaotic.”
