I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1998: 24.259 Sixth Violet Star - POV of the Elves

As the situation at the Dwarf kingdom had ended with such unwanted taste, the happenings at the Elven Kingdom were almost in ruins. Attacked by both humans and dwarfs most of their population was killed. They couldn’t completely blame the two races from targeting them. After all, the cause of everything was their current elf king, King Valerian who had gone insane during the last Ruler Meeting.

Not only had Elf King Valerian almost killed the Dwarf king, he had caused a lot of deaths in the human region when he had gone into madness. He had killed everyone on his path regardless of race. Become a menace that was hated by all. Even his own kin that tried to bring him back to their kingdom, some of them had died as well. Right now, after losing a lot of elven warriors and elemental summoners, the atmosphere within the race had become gloomy.

Without a leader to pull them through, all elven elders had to come out. But each of these elders were already too old to lead and their minds were more of conservative type which is why even with the deaths of their own kin, they wanted to capture back their crazy king just to save face. To buy some time, they had blocked the entrance towards their territory preventing anyone from reaching them by foot and air.

However, the deaths of the elves upon the orders of the elders to bring back their crazy king had incur a lot of hatred within the clan. A lot of them, especially those with a lot of family members, no longer listen to the orders of the elder elves and turn deaf ears to their summons. Right now, the interior of the race cannot be said to be good. As they had become more split than before, the faction that followed Elf King Valerian, most of them had been executed even so people couldn’t forgive him as he fell into greater madness. He was locked into the water dungeon alone.

Because of the craze nature of the current elf king, those elves who were sent to the water dungeon before had all gained freedom. Among them was Vera who had helped the former elf king, Lord Vega escape from this land. Vera upon coming out was welcomed by his loyal friends and family who had been waiting for this day when he would gain his freedom.

After learning that nothing in his letter sent to the Ancient Forest was able to enter such a forbidden zone, he can only see the dwarfs who planned to go to the ancient forest personally. However, as if the dwarfs had forgotten about his letter, none of them had reached Lord Vega who had arrived in their dwarf kingdom. So, Lord Vega had left the dwarf kingdom without reading any of his letters.

In the Elven Kingdom, Vera was waiting for anything from the dwarf race.

But as if they had cut off all connection, none had responded to them. It can be said that only the youngest dwarf prince who had not much hate towards the Elf race was willing to tell Lord Vega the desire of Vera to see him. It was unknown whether Lord Vega still remembered about the latter.

Meanwhile the subordinates of the Vera received an annoying call from the dwarf race. With almost those who didn’t hate the elf race collectively leaving with Lord Vega and the rest to head to the ancient forest. Only the arrogant dwarf elders were left behind.

”Damn! Annoying old things! You accepted the letter but didn’t give it to our king!?”

”What happened?” Elf Vera asked.

”Lord Vera, those fucking dwarves didn’t give your letters to King Vega, they annoyed him so much that he had left only saving a few women and children from the dwarven race to sent to the ancient forest for protection!” An elf warrior said.

The expression on Elf Vera’s face turned grim as he didn’t expect that the way the dwarf race looked at their kin had been so biased that they no longer see them as equal, just a race that they hate the most instead. Because of this, none of his letters were given to their king. This meant that their former king didn’t even know the current state of their race.

He finally decided to take a risk. Elf Vera said, ”We need to go to the Ancient Forest ourselves. I will go myself. Maybe if the former elf king felt my aura he would come out of the forest to meet us.”

”But my lord, we are hunted by all other races, especially the human race! Once they notice us, they will never let us go!”

”However, as long as King Vega knew that it was us, he would definitely save us. I agree with Lord Vera’s plan.”

”What should we do about our children and women? If we leave, the other factions in this race will never let them go.”

”If so we can only bring them with us. Or beg the spirit realm to accept them for a while.”

”But the spirit realm forbids humans from entering their world.”

”My elemental said that their realm was in chaos as they didn’t know where their Elemental God had disappeared to. But I think the Elemental Emperors all know where their God is, and are only keeping it a secret so they can let their Elemental God do as they wish. Actually, I think if there is a place in this mortal realm where the elemental god is hiding it can only be the territory of the beastmen race.”

”The ancient forest is indeed a good choice. But there is also the divine realm, can he also go there?”

”But I heard that the Elemental God had a child. I do not think a child born from a spirit and human had the ability to stay in the divine realm.”

”Since it’s like this, going to the ancient forest is our only choice. Everyone should tell our group. If they are willing to leave with us that is good but if not... They can only do their best to survive until we return.” Elf Vera added, ”This journey is dangerous and it is unknown if we will get caught on the way by the humans or get killed. Only those who are willing to take the risk can come with us.”

”Yes, Lord Vera.”

While the situation at the side of Vera’s faction had made a decision to leave for the Ancient Forest, the Elven Elders were now having a meeting. Their arrogance matches their old age and their conservation thoughts made it hard for them to accept that their kin no longer revered them.

BAM!

”Those ungrateful fools!”

”Have they forgotten what the current king did for them?!”

”We should have them hanged!”

”How can they blame us for the death of the other elves!? The ones who killed them are those humans and dwarfs!”

”How unreasonable! Just because we are already old they do not respect us!”

”Also those criminals who were allowed to be out! How dare they split the factions further!”

”Damn remnant of King Vega’s lackeys!”

”We should have just killed them all!”

”However, our race seems to be in great danger right now. The humans all wanted to hunt and the dwarf race. There is also hatred from those damn small people!”

”What should we do then? Pretend to apologize to those drunkards!”

”No need. We should find a way to preserve our race instead and reach out for help with the elementals or the mythical race.”

”But no mythical race will agree to help us, they only like pure people.”

”It’s because they like pure people. We can send those as sacrifices and ask them to exterminate the humans and dwarfs.”

”Right! We can do that! Now it’s a question of who is to sacrifice?”

”There is still a lot of time. We should choose well~,”

The eerie conversation between the elder elves was something no one else from their race would know. If only they knew that these old elves were trying to have them sacrificed for the sake of preserving their old lives, how would they act if only they know.

Meanwhile, the journey of the people in the shadow realm didn’t take long. In just a day, they had returned to the vicinity of the ancient forest. The reason for this fast journey was because the shadow realm was completely under the control of the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness. He can somehow control the place and have them move a lot faster in this realm than in reality. Upon seeing the scene of the ancient forest figure, the dwarfs behind them finally sigh in relief.

Warden Yun Ming said, ”It seems that we are almost there. Vega when we return to the forest you handle the rest. We still need to watch over the changes in the city.”

”Yes, Lord Yun.” The former elf king said.

The Chief Warden added, ”Lord... Prince Hei said to send Long Juedi, Haerin, Xue Laira, and their other friends to the borderland. Send them to inform the two rulers of the beastmen race about the situation of the city. Right now, we will need to focus on defending the forest. Some of the humans can no longer ignore the fact that we stay behind the wooden walls.”

On their way to the ancient forest through the shadow realm, they had witnessed how the human soldiers and beast tamers were starting to gather to form troops. If these groups are not to be sent to the frontlines, their goal is to get our race involved in the chaos of this city. It was for this reason that the two wardens wanted to investigate that inhuman existence inside the new human marshal, Gu Ying.
