I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1960: 24.221 Sixth Violet Star - Beast Mutation

After the barrier that protects the clinic disappeared, Long Juedi and Haerin finally met their classmates whom they had been looking for all this time. They saw Xue Laira on the bed with her eyes closed. Though her external injuries had been healed, her eyes remained closed as if she was in a coma. It’s just that no one had expected that the Spirit race father of Xue Laira to be the only Elemental God himself or that she is the princess of the Spirit Realm. Everyone was shocked by this discovery. However, they didn’t linger in this fact and are now more worried why she isn’t waking up at all.

Haerin asked her father’s Elemental Emperor, ”Then Grandma Greene, why is Sister Xue not waking up?”

{Hm? Your shocked state is shorter than I expected,} Grandma Greene commented.

Nan Jiang said, ”Well, there are already two seniors we know that are akin to a god and if just a God’s child then Haerin-meimei here can be considered as God’s sister.”

Grandma Greene, thinking about the two beastmen princes, which are her granddaughter’s cousin brothers, felt that Nan Jiang’s words made sense. She couldn’t help but nod her head.

Haerin said, ”Grandma Greene?”

{Alright. I know. Let me check on the princess alright? Maybe Old Willow is not without a reason.} Grandma Greene said.

She focuses her qi on her princess and checks on her current state. The more she checked the deeper the frowned that appeared on her face showed,

{No wonder, that old fool willow left for the spirit realm. He must have gone to the spirit spring! The princess’s soul is injured, that’s why she can’t wake up. Now I understand the reason for his barrier. This can’t be left like this. I need to erect another barrier around this room!}

Grandma Greene’s urgency shows how serious the situation is. Knowing this, the students immediately help the teacher to bring almost every medicine and materials outside the room including the beds as this clinic will most likely be sealed for the second time. It’s just things had gone worse as the monsters outside had somehow mutated and there is a huge change within them. Most of the beast in the barren land had changed due to the arrival of Pei Jin and the Evil Beast God, Ouroboros in this world.

They had experimented on the beasts in the Barren Land making their gene construction be easily mergeable and increase their strength regardless of their realm. The only difference it has to the original beasts is that they are less intelligent, more sensitive and are more prone to following their instinct.

They can feel the changes of aura in the area and sense these aura as scent. The more powerful the aura is, the more delicious they are. That’s why when the God of Destruction fell in the barren land, most experimented beasts had attacked him and they resulted in a mountain of corpses in the end. Xue Laira despite being only a young halfling, no one can deny that half of her bloodline is from an Elemental God. Which is why her aura is much more purer and powerful than other students.

Moreover, the fact that students had gathered in one place made their auras converge into one. This made this territory smell so delicious for the beasts making them surround the place. Now that the barrier in the clinic was broken Xue Laira’s aura had spread mixing with the rest of the aura. Now, the place emits a more delicious smell which makes the beasts outside insane.

BANG!

The whole place shook as they heard banging sounds coming from the outside. It was weak before but now it got louder and stronger, making the others unable to hold back but look at what is happening outside. The scene beyond the barrier that protects the whole class territory left them speechless and sent a student to tell the others about this, especially the students who were originally from this place.

A student came running towards the clinic and spoke with urgency despite being out of breath.

”Teacher! The beasts outside had gone insane and suddenly mutated even more. This time they had merged into a big monster and used the hardest force to destroy the barrier!”

”What did you say?!” Everyone in the clinic exclaimed except for the Elemental Emperor, Grandma Greene and the unconscious, Xue Laira.

The teacher of Class A said, ”This is crazy! How can beasts merge like that!? This can’t be what I need to look at. Students there, grab others and tell them to use these things on the injured ones.”

”Y-Yes, teacher!”

Meanwhile, the students of F-Class remained in the clinic. They didn’t know what to do next. As for Grandma Greene, this Elemental Emperor of the Wind, she didn’t halt her movements to seal the whole room. But unlike before, it was no longer tree roots surrounding it but wind itself. In the eyes of this Elemental Emperor her only priority is only the Spirit Realm’s Princess and her master’s daughter, Haerin. As for the other humans she doesn’t care about them.

Don’t think of the spirits as being heartless like this. It is normal for them to have no feelings for others. Since they were born pure, they only like pure things and can only get attached to humans who caught their eyes. Only the Elemental God had such feelings, if not he wouldn’t fall in love with a human female and had a daughter like Xue Laira.

Cao Wanji asked, ”What should we do?”

”Can’t we just go outside and fight them?” asked Nan Jiang.

Cao Heiji said, ”If it was that easy, the two of us would have been enough. But those beasts outside are weird. Some of them are only gold grade but they possessed a platinum-grade strength. The platinum-grade has lord-grade strength and so forth. How can we defeat them if all lord-grade and king-grade beasts were all powered up? It’s like fighting hundreds of beast kings!”

”But if it’s like this then the barrier will not last. Do you know where the core of the formation is located?” Class Leader, Long Juedi asked.

Haerin raised her hand and said, ”I know. It’s in Grandpa An’s office! My brother showed it to me once. It looks like a snowball. To keep it activated you must pour a qi in it.”

”How come Hei-ge is everywhere?” Long Juedi mumbles.

But speaking of those two, the God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness had come here together with them. For them to suddenly disappear something must have happened to them. Long Juedi didn’t go deeper with these thoughts and made plans in his head how to survive the current situation.

Long Juedi said, ”Rin’er, go get the core of the formation. It mustn’t get broken or we are doomed here.”

”Wanji, Heiji, Jiang and I will go outside to help.”

”Alright. We shall go with you!” The three who were called out said.

Long Juedi continued to issue commands, ”Rui you stay here. Protect Xu and Rin’er who held the core of the formation. Don’t let it break or lose it. Once the qi in it was less it would deactivate. Remember to pour some qi to keep it activated.”

”Leave them to me. Even if I lack qi, Xiao Lan should be able to help,” Nangong Rui said.

Grandma Greene said, {You are not going to give me orders, Xiao didi?}

”No. Grandma Greene, please just focus on protecting who you want to protect.” Long Juedi said as he gestures to Cao Wanji, Cai Heiji and Nan Jiang to leave with him.

Haerin said, ”Please... Please be careful. All of you!”

”We will. Rin’er, remember. The Core must remain with qi and not be broken. Stay here with everyone alright. You have already done your best in the gymnasium before. This time it’s our turn.” Long Juedi said as they took off.

Watching the fading back of the four students Grandma Greene felt that Long Juedi is indeed worthy as a leader. Not only is he smart but he is also keen. He knew that spirits only listen to their masters. He is not Grandma Greene’s master nor Haerin is. But since Haerin is her master’s daughter and the spirit realm princess is in this room, Grandma Greene will definitely protect this place. That’s why he told Haerin to come back here after getting the core of the defensive formation of this territory and left Nangong Rui who possessed the purest aura and with connection to another Elemental Emperor to have them pour qi in the core and keep it activated.

Haerin said, ”Grandma Greene, I’m going to get the core!”

{Wait a minute. Use my wind to teleport and return here as soon as possible.}

”Yes!” Haerin said as she was suddenly covered in green wind carrying her around with a light leap she disappeared in the room to get the core.

Meanwhile Grandma Tree couldn’t help but mumbles, {As expected to the man chosen by my granddaughter. He is indeed smart~}
