I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1962: 24.223 Sixth Violet Star - Woke up by someone.

With the sudden decision of the Elemental God who was planning to descend in the human realm without anyone but Grandpa Tree knowing, in mortal realm, Long Juedi was commanding the survivors in the Beast Tamer Academy to eliminate the mutated beast ghoul that is hovering in their place. What everyone didn’t expect is that this ghoul like creature is so tough. They had been fighting against it for hours and they had destroyed its body multiple times.

However, no matter how much they destroy his body, it would restore it by capturing a beast in the area. With how endless the beasts are coming out from the portal, this monster’s health is also limitless.

”Class Leader, this can’t go on. Those portals are annoying! How come no one is destroying it!?”

”Don’t stop! Once you stop it will attack the barrier again!”

”If this barrier breaks... will we all die?”

Silence~

Such a question made the atmosphere in the area awkward. After all, everyone was trying so hard to avoid it. This person had a loose mouth to do such a thing and made everyone nervous as well. In the end, a friend of that person elbowed him and whispered something to shut his friend up.

”Shut up! Don’t speak if you can’t say anything good.”

”S-Sorry.”

Long Juedi didn’t mind their words and said, ”Don’t stop moving! Once the barrier breaks, all of us die!”

It was only at these words that the people behind Long Juedi tuck up their fears to fight. Only when everyone is fighting will they have a chance of survival. In their minds, as long as they bought enough time for the reinforcement to arrive they will not die here.

While everyone was fighting for their lives at the front, Haerin kept pouring her qi to the core of the formation. It was only because of her that the barrier remained sturdy. However, it took a toll on her.

Grandma Greene looked so worried of her granddaughter, {Xiao Rin, there is no need to pour that much qi. Didn’t I teach you how to properly utilize your qi? Only pour it when you feel that the barrier will be hit.}

”But Grandma Greene, I can’t afford to make a mistake, one mistake means the death of everyone in this building. I’m still alright, Jing-gege taught me how to absorb qi in air while using it. Let me focus for a bit more,” said Haerin.

She closed her eyes and focused on controlling her qi. Those who were sensitive to qi would definitely the qi hovering around Haerin every time she used her qi, the qi from her surroundings would be absorbed by her simultaneously. Normally, such an attempt is extremely hard to control. The reason she was able to control it was because of the training the God of Destruction had taught.

He taught her that the world is full of energy and asked her to picture every day that the qi in her body and the qi in her surroundings were the same thing. Then she learned how to utilize the qi outside her body while keeping hers unused. It can be said that she had trained this hard just so she could stay beside her brothers for a very long time.

After all, around the God of Destruction is a collection of ice elements made of icy qi which prevents ordinary people from approaching. This was not under his control, but the elements who gathered around him to serve and protect him unconditionally. Though he meant no harm to others, other elements openly show their like and dislike adding that fact that they are childish by nature, that they are almost unpredictable.

However, this kind of concentration requires mental energy and sometimes, the strength of one’s physical vessel and mental strength are not equal. It can be said that Harrin’s mental strength is a lot higher than her current body. That’s why she overdid it, she would bleed on her orifices.

Nangong Rui noticed this as well and felt bewildered by the movement of qi around Haerin.

”W-What is this? She can directly absorb the qi in the world? Is that possible?!” Nangong Rui exclaimed.

The Elemental Emperor, Grandma Greene, didn’t look surprised at all. If you have two outstanding siblings, it wouldn’t be hard for one to get dedicated in getting stronger just to stand by their side. However, despite Haerin’s hard work, she would never reach the abilities her siblings possessed. Their talents were beyond normal after all. It is not something a mortal like Haerin can achieve.

However, the ability to control the qi of the world as yours is something not everyone in this world can do. The reason Haerin can do it is thanks to her elven bloodline which had strong affinity with nature itself. But like it was said, her vessel is too weak, using it for quite a long time is a burden on her body.

Frowning. Grandma Greene, this Elemental Emperor of the Wind, urgently calls for Nangong Rui.

{Child, you must take her place now. She is overdoing it.}

Nangong Rui nods his head and approaches Haerin, ”Meimei! Let me take over.”

But when he reached out his hand to take the core from Haerin, a surge of qi had pushed him away leaving everyone surprised. Then they saw Haerin’s nose suddenly bleeding which made Nangong Rui panicked.

Nangong Rui said, ”Her nose is bleeding. ”Senior, what should I do?”

{You need to wake her up! She had focused too deeply that the qi accumulation in her body is something it cannot bear anymore! You must wake her up!} Grandma Greene said.

The reason she didn’t do it herself, was because the affinity of wind Haerin possessed and her ability would complement each other making it stronger. At this rate, once she touched her, the surge in her qi would strengthen inside of loosening. There is also the fact that she could no longer hear their voice.

Nangong Rui carefully approached Haerin this time but the surge of qi still hit him. Though unlike when he caught off guard, this time he managed to guard on it and grab Haerin’s shoulder and shook her awake.

He shouted, ”Meimei! Haerin-meimei! Wake up! You are going out of control!”

Haerin who had fallen too deep in her concentration can barely hear the voice of Nangong Rui who was waking her outside. Moreover, the energy in her was too warm making her sleepy while still doing the absorption and pouring of qi.

Deep within her mind, Haerin seems to be confused, ’Is someone calling for me? But... I am too sleepy. Let me sleep first.’

Just as she was about to close her eyes to sleep, she suddenly felt a chilling energy coming from within her body. The sudden drop in temperature made it hard for Haerin to completely fall asleep.

A voice resounds in her mind, {You can’t sleep. Once you sleep, you will not be able to wake up anymore.}

Upon hearing this voice Haerin felt that this voice sounds familiar and that lingering scent of the snow. She only knew one person who possessed this scent.

”Brother?”

She mumbles as in reality her eyes slowly wake up and finally realize what is happening in her. She immediately poured all the qi she had accumulated in her body to the core. Only then she was able to charge it properly and let the glow in it be brighter than before. However, the backlash on her body was so severe that she coughed a bit of blood.

Cough!

Her body staggered for a moment and Nangong Rui caught her before she fell. The core of the formation was grabbed by Xiao Lan before it crashed on the ground.

Nangong Rui asked, ”Meimei? Are you alright?”

”Rui-ge, I’m fine. Just a bit sleepy,” said Haerin before fainting.

Grandma Green was finally able to touch her granddaughter and use nature energy to help treat her body. She took her from Nangong Rui and placed her on the other empty bed.

{Watch over the orb. The qi she poured in there is barely enough for a few hours. You will stay to watch over it so it won’t run out of power. If it did then... this whole building would be attacked by those beasts outside.}

Nangong Rui nods his head.

”Xiao Lan, please give me the orb please.”

The young Elemental Emperor of Ice and Water looked at the orb in her embrace and flew towards her master before finally giving it to him. She smiled at her petite size main Nangong Rui and smiled back. The interaction between him and Xiao Lan was seen by Grandma Greene and she couldn’t help but recall the first time she was born. Like Xiao Lan, she is also born from the heart of her master, Vega.

Because of this, her attachment towards him was the strongest. When her master first fell in love with the Ninetailed beastman, Heri, she hated the latter too much. At that time she was so young and had been spoiled badly by her master. That’s why she used all kinds of childish means to push Heri away. She couldn’t accept that beastman as her master’s partner.

It was only until she had reached the final step to ascend into the Elemental Emperor realm and almost failed that she realized a few things she never noticed before and thought that everything was done by her master alone. When in reality, the one who helped her the most to successfully evolve was her master’s partner, Heri.

During her evolution she almost died, the one who poured lifeforce and qi in her to help her complete her evolution wasn’t her master alone and most of it was given by Heri to her. Her master at that time was badly injured after fighting in the frontlines against the beasts. Her evolution’s timing was bad but she still forced herself to evolve. Because of limited preparations, she almost failed. If not for Heri giving her most of qi until he fainted that she would most likely not exist now.

Grandma Greene asked Heri why she chose to do that. The only answer she gets is the very same words her master told her when she was born.

”Because she is Vega’s elemental, she is a part of the family.”

This reason alone was enough for Grandma Greene to prioritize Haerin even above her own race’s princess.
