The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 585: Chapter 585: Do You Still Understand Respecting the Elderly?

Grandmaster Fu claimed he was poor, yet everywhere in his study was exquisite and noble, full of scholarly air.

However, the old man was truly stingy. As soon as one entered the room, he sat cross-legged on the cushion behind the desk and didn’t even offer a single sip of tea. He even sent the servants away, showing an attitude of ”I won’t give you tea, what can you do about it?”

Song Zhiyuan chuckled lightly, asked the servant to bring a small red brazier, and also let his guard bring his travel pouch over, slowly untying it by his side.

Grandmaster Fu craned his neck to take a look.

A green iron canister appeared in sight, engraved with a magnolia, which immediately delighted him.

Tribute tea, Lushan Yunwu?

Grandmaster Fu felt another surge of bitterness; after all, he was a favorite of the Emperor, so casually bringing out a can of tribute tea, the Emperor truly valued him.

”Su’er, brew some tea, let your master’s master also taste your skills.” Song Zhiyuan said with a smile to Grandmaster Fu, ”In visiting you, I’ve brought nothing good, just two ounces of Lushan Yunwu, let the boy brew you a cup.”

Grandmaster Fu snorted lightly but said nothing.

But seeing Song Lingsu already at the side washing his hands, he rolled up his sleeves and laid out the tea utensils one by one.

Grandmaster Fu watched his hands, then his face, and then his actions.

A gentleman brews tea; it’s smooth and pleasing like flowing clouds.

This boy has quite the refined demeanor.

Before long, the study was filled with the light aroma of tea.

Grandmaster Fu couldn’t help but take a deep breath; it was that tea scent.

”Master’s master, please enjoy the tea.” Song Lingsu kneeled on the cushion, offering the teacup with both hands.

Grandmaster Fu accepted it, glanced at the tea in the cup; it was clear and bright, the aroma was enticing. He couldn’t help but relax his brows, taking a small sip. The fragrance was enduring, the taste smooth and sweet.

”Good tea.” He sighed out loud, looking up to see Song Zhiyuan’s fox-like grin, suddenly becoming cautious, snorting lightly, ”The truth is best spoken plainly. Tell me, what exactly have you come for?”

”What does master’s uncle think of this boy?”

Grandmaster Fu was taken aback, casting a glance at Song Lingsu, and sneered, ”Certainly more pleasing to the eye than you.”

”Then does he catch your eye?”

Song Lingsu’s heart tightened, somewhat nervous.

Grandmaster Fu’s eyes narrowed slightly, saying, ”If you wish for the child to become my apprentice, then you can forget it. I am old and decrepit, half a foot in the grave, not knowing which day I’ll kick the bucket; I won’t mislead the youth.”

”I observe that you are clear-eared and bright-eyed, your complexion ruddy, your spirit vigorous; living to a hundred is no problem.” Song Zhiyuan joked, ”This boy is already fifteen this year; if you teach him for ten or eight years, even if he doesn’t graduate, learning a little from you would be his blessing.”

”I don’t need your flattery; I am old, unable to do it.” Grandmaster Fu snorted coldly.

Song Zhiyuan sighed, while packing up the tea canister, ”I thought you might like to take a teacher’s grand-disciple and then exert him, use the teacher’s grand-disciple to be your student, serve you, and in the future, when reunited with the teacher after a hundred years, you could brag to him, ’You stole my beloved, I steal your grand-disciple.’ Turns out Yunzhi just overthought it.”

Song Lingsu: ”???”

Dad, can you act in an opera? This speech is more confusing than a play!

Grandmaster Fu watched as the canister of Lushan Yunwu disappeared from the table: ”...”

Isn’t there any respect left from this shameless student? Just now, every sentence was master’s uncle, but since he refused to take his kid, he won’t even leave the tea?
