The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 580: Chapter 580: Old Lady’s Trap

The third household has a new master, everyone in the Song Mansion knows it. Although she’s just a concubine, she is a noble concubine and has a child by her side, so her status is more respected than the two childless ones of the old man.

However, besides the old man who can be ignored as he wanders with a concubine outside, there is just this one concubine in the mansion, others are all official wives, so it doesn’t warrant the servants rushing to curry favor. After all, it’s best to feel things out with the newcomer first.

Yet, with the arrival of the newcomer in the third household, the minds of the mansion’s maidservants of the right age became lively. Their usually plain and simple dress suddenly became graceful.

The third lord already has a concubine. Who knows if the other lords might suddenly realize the boredom of having just one beauty and go seeking other flowers?

Maidservants without ambition are like salted fish. Perhaps if they strive, they could rise above others!

The first to notice the change and restlessness among the mansion’s maidservants was Madam Song. She overheard their conversation by chance, turned livid with anger, and immediately punished two of them by sending them to the laundry room as a warning to others.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Jiang, holding her daughter, noticed a maid bashfully winking at Song Zhicheng and turned livid.

At night.

Mrs. Jiang lay on the bed, covertly asked Song Zhicheng, ”Yuanyuan’s father, do you think my figure has thickened since having Yuanyuan?”

A question of deadly threat.

”You just realized?” Song Zhicheng, unaware of the looming threat, said straightforwardly, ”When you had Yuanyuan, you over-nourished during the confinement period, and after that, you were busy with our daughter and stopped practicing martial arts. Of course, you gained weight.”

Mrs. Jiang was so angry her heart ached, she held her anger and issued a second deadly question, ”Isn’t it because I had no time. By the way, the third lord took a lovely beauty as a concubine. I heard she’s only eighteen, had two children, still has a girlish figure, and is very beautiful. What do you think of her?”

”Why are you asking me? How would I know? I’m his brother; I can’t just go checking out how my brother’s concubine looks.”

”Didn’t you go to the manor with the third lord to visit the old man? Didn’t you talk about this? He must be delighted having such a beautiful wife, right?”

The third deadly question had arrived.

Without thinking, Song Zhicheng said, ”That’s only natural. Even the Saint said food and love are inherent desires. He mentioned that Bai Shi is very understanding.”

”Oh? So does our Second Lord Song also want to be delighted? I saw little Tao is as gorgeous as a flower, very understanding, certainly quite the exotic understanding flower, want to take her for yourself?”

The deadly threat had arrived at his head.

Only then did Song Zhicheng, feeling a chill down his spine, sense something was off and said, ”Wait, did you line all this up to bring out this so-called understanding flower?”

What is that thing?

”I noticed her sending flirtatious glances at you, do you think I’m too round and despise me as an old nag?”

Song Zhicheng felt more wronged than Dou E, ”No, didn’t you ask me? I told the truth and that’s wrong too. You indeed got plumper than before you had Yuanyuan.”

Song Ci: You pig, you messed up big time!

Mrs. Jiang kicked him off the bed, stood with hands on hips, and said, ”Mother was right, all men are just big pig trotters, they sure love the new and loathe the old. Second Lord Song, you can sleep in the study with your understanding flower!”

Song Zhicheng: ”...”

So, mom, was your son set up by you?
