New Age Of Summoners

The old minister was shocked because this was not the item that the king was supposed to give to the guild master.

Moreover, this huge golden-coloured shield was much more valuable than the item they were supposed to give. So, he could not help but feel shocked and hurriedly sent a voice transmission to his king.

’Your majesty, this….,’

’You keep quiet, old man. I know what I am doing and my master will agree to my words,’

Before he could finish his words, he was interrupted by the king, making him shake his head.

’Whatever,’

Seeing the seriousness in the King’s words, the old minister didn’t bother to argue anymore and silently stood in his place.

’Once my master knows about my actions, I wonder how he will feel,’

As for the King, he was in his own thoughts regarding his current action because there was a strong reason for giving the huge golden shield to the guild master.

”What is this shield, your majesty?”

The guild master asked as he didn’t know what was special with the huge shield. So, he asked about it.

”I will only say one thing. It is a low-level legendary grade weapon; however, you have to find its effects on your own,”

The king replied with a slight smile on his face before standing up from his seat and looking at everyone’s faces as he asked the guild master, ”You satisfied with this legendary grade weapon, right?”

Stephen was very confident that the guild master would definitely be satisfied with a legendary grade weapon. So, he decided to leave the main hall.

”Esmund?”

Just like Ramon, who was specialized in living beings, Esmund was proficient in forging and weapons. So, the guild master looked at him for an evaluation.

”With a title ’Forger of essences’, he will surely know whether it was a legendary weapon or not,” When the guild master looked at Esmund, the king’s smile grew even more as he replied.

”Yes, it is a legendary grade shield,”

Even though he was not an appraiser, Esmund had good knowledge in evaluating the weapons’ grade. So, he nodded his head and confirmed the grade of the huge golden shield.

”What? A legendary grade weapon?”

”Damn it, I only saw a high-level heaven grade weapon once in my entire life but now I have seen legendary grade weapon...Haha,”

”Me too,”

All the onlookers were shocked after hearing Esmund’s words. Earlier they were having some doubts regarding the shield’s grade; however, everything was changed now after listening to Esmund’s words.

”Only if I can have that weapon, I don’t have to live in fear from other families,”

However, the eyes of the family heads of the great families were filled with greed as they looked at the huge golden shield.

Moreover, all of them had the same single thought in their heads. That was to take the legendary grade weapon for themselves.

”If anyone is having second thoughts regarding this shield, they need to be prepared to face the wrath of the royal family,”

From the looks on the family heads of the five great families, Stephen could say what they were thinking but if they went after that weapon, it would fail his plans. So, he warned them.

”Yes, your majesty,”

Even though they didn’t have much fear towards the king, the royal family was not something their families could go against. So, they nodded their heads; however, they have their own plans in their head.

’You dogs, don’t know what you are greedy for, it will only make things worse for you,’

Nevertheless, the king didn’t bother to warn them anymore and he looked at the guild master before saying, ”Okay then. I will take my leave.”

For some reason, the King didn’t want to stay in the mercenary guild anymore and directly said his ’Goodbyes’ before leaving the mercenary guild.

”Huh? What’s with him? Why is he leaving like that?”

Everyone became puzzled with the King’s actions as they muttered in low voices.

”Okay then. We also take our leave,”

Soon, the five great families and fire sword sect also started leaving the mercenary guild one by one along with their bunch of followers.

Within no time, the main hall in the mercenary guild was left with the ’Six vagrant cultivators’, Edmond, Rulf, Udo and some other high-level mercenaries.

”Guild master, we got many good things from them,”

As soon as everyone left the main hall, Rulf looked at the guild master and said with a large smile on his face.

”Yes, but I am feeling a little trouble regarding this huge shield,”

Pointing at the huge golden coloured shield, the guild master replied to Rulf and others while raising his brows.

”Huh?”

Edmond and others looked at the huge golden coloured shield; however, they didn’t find anything wrong with it.

”There is definitely something wrong with it; otherwise, why will he leave behind such a good thing,”

As for the vagrant cultivators, they also agreed with the guild master because they know about the royal family a little too well. So, they were unable to remain calm at heart with the huge golden-coloured shield in front of them.

”Yes,”

Edmond and others understood the underlying meaning behind their words and nodded their heads agreeing with the six vagrant cultivators.

”Okay then. After our disciple selection event, let’s join and study it together” What do you say?”

Finally, the guild master came to a decision and sealed the huge shield in a separated space ring and asked his five old friends.

”Sure,”

As soon as they heard those words, everyone nodded their heads.

”Now, it’s time for me to gift you some things,”

Since the mercenary guild was able to get these many items only because of his old friends, the guild master decided to give some things to them.

”No need. Although those things are good, they are not any use for us old cultivators. Give them to the people behind you,”

Pointing at Edmond and others, Sandra replied to the guild master with a nonchalant expression on her face.
