New Age Of Summoners

Outside the battle tower,

”What is that?”

Ajax was watching the battle in the battle tower on his holographic screen and when he looked at the silhouette that the ghost fox was fighting, he raised his brows as he didn’t recognize which race the hall guardian belonged to.

The hall guardian was completely surrounded by a cloud of black smoke and with a long scythe in his hands.

’System, who is that hall guardian?’

Ajax knew that for this information, the system would not ask him to pay his essence of nature. So, he confidently asked the system while watching the fight.

’Ding,

 Hall guardian:- Masked Reaper

 Strength:- Elite commander realm

Information:- A masked reaper is one of the powerful races; however, there are only a few masked reapers as their reproduction is very weak.

’Huh? Never heard of this race,’

Looking at the information of the holographic screen, Ajax nodded his head.

Even though Elder Boron had told many stories, there was nothing about Masked reaper. So, this was Ajax’s first time hearing or seeing a masked reaper.

’So, they are on equals with the armoured titans?’

There was a pleasant surprise in his eyes because his ghost fox had challenged only 2 halls and both of the hall guardians belonged to the powerful races.

’Is there some pattern why allocating the hall guardians to the participants? Anyway, let’s see whether Ghost can win against another high-level race being,’

Ajax excitedly looked at the battle in the battle tower.

Inside the battle tower,

Despite being completely dominated by the masked reaper, the ghost fox still had a calm look on its face as it continued to dodge the long scythe.

”You are better than I expected. But let’s see whether you can survive the next attack,”

With each passing second, an additional long scythe appeared out of nowhere and attacked the ghost fox; however, it was able to dodge each and every long scythe without much difficulty.

So, the masked reaper praised the ghost fox before stopping in his tracks all of a sudden.

’Swoosh’

As soon as he finished his words, the black smoke that was surrounding him started disappearing and his true form appeared to the ghost fox and Ajax, who was watching from his room.

’Clap clap’

With a hideous mask and covered in black robes with a height tht was over 1.5 meters, the masked reaper started clapping a dozen times.

’Swoosh’ ’Swoosh’

With each clap, a long scythe appeared in front of him.

Adding to the earlier long scythes, there were a total of 30 long scythes which were aimed at the ghost fox and they were ready to hack the ghost fox into many pieces.

’If you survive this attack, I will accept my defeat,’ As soon as he finished his words, all the 30 long scythes rushed at the ghost fox.

’Slash’

’Slash’

After hearing the masked reaper’s words, the ghost fox became serious and didn’t even bother to dodge the 30 incoming long scythes and released more than 5 black transparent blades from its body.

’Clang’

’Clank’

’Kacha’

All the long scythes that were around its body were blocked by its five ’Phantom Slash’. Moreover, the phantom slashes were so powerful that they even broke more than half of the incoming long scythes.

’Teleport’

’Claw’

However, the ghost fox didn’t stop there and without wasting any time, it used its ’Teleport’ to disappear from its place and appeared in front of the masked reaper before using its another skill ’Shadow claw’ at him.

’Clang’

”Hehe…very good,”

However, the masked reaper stopped the huge shadow claw with ease as he continued to praise the ghost fox for its speedy and powerful attacks.

”Since I gave you my word, I will accept my defeat,” the masked reaper sent the ghost fox into the air before continuing, ”I will be waiting for you in the second layer. I hope you won’t disappoint me when we fight in the future.”

As soon as he finished his words, the masked reaper disappeared from the hall.

’Thud’

’Growl’

The ghost fox which was thrown away by the masked reaper earlier had fallen to the ground; however, it immediately stood up and growled at the place where the masked reaper had disappeared.

.....

’Ding,

Congratulations to the host’s contracted spirit beast for successfully defeating the hall guardian.

Outside the battle tower, Ajax got the system notification in his head.

”What? Something like this also happens in the battle tower?”

Ajax, who watched the entire fight and was shocked to see that the ghost fox won the fight without defeating the hall guardian.

’Ding,

As long as the hall guardian admits the defeat, the challenger gets the clearance for that specific hall.

”Oh,” Ajax nodded his head after seeing the system notification and at the same time, he thought in his head, ’Maybe, this masked reaper wanted the ghost fox to challenge him once again in the second layer. So, he gave it an easy win. So, that ghost fox can reach the next layer in a short time.’

Ajax rubbed his chin as he got another doubt when his earlier thought and asked the system, ”System, when will a participant ascend to the next level?”

Since both the armoured titan and the masked reaper said something about the second layer of the battle tower, Ajax wanted to know when a participant could ascend to the next level.

’Ding,

Only when any one of the challengers successfully defeated the five hall guardians, then the answer to your question will be given.

”Five? Come on Ghost, you can do it,”

Since the ghost fox had already completed two challenges and still looked as energetic as when he sent to the battle tower, he hoped that it would complete the remaining three halls.

’Ding,

 Do you want to …..

”Yes, I accept to send it to the next challenge,”

Before the system could finish its notification, Ajax replied to the system and relaxingly looked at the holographic screen.
