Apocalyptic Disaster: The King of Soldiers' Ultimate Pampering

49: Chapter 49 looks a bit like salmon. The survivors in the building had been getting along very well these past few days because people like Zhao Degang were gone and there were no zombies inside.

So during this time, everyone got along harmoniously, and everything seemed peaceful.

Some even shared alcohol stoves and alcohol blocks to conserve energy.

For a moment, when the people in the building heard they had to move, they felt a bit reluctant to leave.

But looking at the water outside, which had already risen to the 27th floor, everyone knew in their hearts that staying in this building was not a long-term solution.

”Huo... Brother Huo, how do you think these Kayaks should be distributed?”

Huo Sixian looked over; these Kayaks were the large type, each capable of seating 6 to 8 people.

Two Kayaks had been provided in total, which was more than enough to hold everyone in the building and some supplies.

Huo Sixian thought for a moment and then looked at Zhao Lichu. ”You’re the person in charge of the building, so you should arrange it. The rubber boats here are completely sufficient. As for us on the 32nd floor...”

”You don’t need to worry about us; we have our own Kayaks.”

Some people in the building had previously seen the residents of the 32nd floor going out in Kayaks and inflatable boats.

So they weren’t surprised, but for some reason, when they heard Huo Sixian say they didn’t need to be considered, they felt a sense of emptiness in their hearts.

They couldn’t quite put their finger on why that feeling arose at that moment.

Zhao Lichu wanted to say more, but seeing that Huo Sixian had already headed back with the people from the 32nd floor and Ah Huang, Zhao Lichu dropped the idea of asking further.

After returning to the 32nd floor, Huo Sixian said to Ye Qingqing, ”Qingqing, pack up the things in the room today. Try to bring food. For other items, bring two sets of assault jackets and such. You can decide on the rest; I’ll prepare other things for you.”

After Huo Sixian finished speaking, he remembered something else. He looked at Ah Huang and added, ”Oh, and Ah Huang’s dog food.”

Hearing Huo Sixian mention him, Ah Huang barked directly at him.

”Do you have a Kayak? I have another one at home.”

Ye Qingqing didn’t object to Huo Sixian’s words. In any case, she had her space, and she could just throw everything into it when the time came.

However, Ye Qingqing was still a little touched.

Because according to Huo Sixian’s words, he intended to take Ye Qingqing with him.

”It’s just a pity about that helicopter parked on the roof.”

Lu Huan’s tone was full of regret, but in this weather, flying a helicopter was a suicide mission. From the looks of it, this heavy rain wouldn’t stop anytime soon.

Ye Qingqing hadn’t expected the flood in this life to be so massive that it would submerge the 32nd floor. If she had bought a yacht in her space earlier, she wouldn’t be in such a state now.

”No training today. Get some good rest. We’ll set off on time tomorrow.”

When Huo Sixian said this, Ye Qingqing disagreed.

”Will it be too late to leave tomorrow?”

Hearing Ye Qingqing’s words, Huo Sixian and the others frowned.

Ye Qingqing continued, ”Since The Authorities have notified us to relocate, it means the city has reached its limit. Moreover, those soldiers from The Authorities only distributed Kayaks and said nothing else.”

When Ye Qingqing reached this point, she paused slightly. ”Don’t you think this is very suspicious?”

In fact, Ye Qingqing hadn’t finished what she wanted to say, nor had they heard that sentence from the radio.

All of this was happening too fast and was too abnormal.

”So, let’s pack up now and head out. Is one hour enough time?”

Huo Sixian raised his wrist to check his watch. ”Alright. It’s 1:00 AM now. We’ll set off on time in one hour.”

Ye Qingqing took Ah Huang back to her room. Actually, there wasn’t much to pack in the house since she hadn’t taken much out.

So she packed very quickly. Ye Qingqing took out a black backpack and put in two sets of clothes, two bottles of water, and some compressed biscuits.

The quantities weren’t large, but it looked like a full, bulky bag.

She didn’t put Ah Huang’s dog food inside to avoid making it too heavy.

After finishing this, Ye Qingqing was mostly packed. She hid in her space and took out a deluxe dog meal for Ah Huang.

She also prepared a portion of spicy crayfish for herself.

Once she stepped out of this door today, she wouldn’t be able to eat alone during the days of wandering on the road.

Just thinking about it made Ye Qingqing’s heart ache a little.

Her Martial Arts had been mostly mastered recently. Even if she had to fight zombies alone, she could kill most of them.

If there was a chance later, Ye Qingqing thought she should still go solo.

Otherwise, if she kept traveling with Huo Sixian and the others, she wouldn’t even be able to eat a normal meal.

While waiting, Ye Qingqing didn’t slow down her eating. In just two minutes, she finished a large bowl of crayfish and drank two cups of milk tea.

After letting out a long burp, she reluctantly walked out of Room 323, where she hadn’t lived for very long.

When Ye Qingqing walked out, she found that Huo Sixian and the others were already prepared. They were currently moving two inflatable boats out of the house.

They could easily accommodate the five of them, and even hold quite a lot of supplies.

Ye Qingqing looked at the dry Kayak in her hand.

She suddenly felt that her perspective was too narrow. Who would have thought that Huo Sixian’s home would actually have so many things?

”Let’s go. Where’s Ah Huang’s dog food?” Huo Sixian asked, seeing that Ye Qingqing was only carrying one bag.

However, the moment Huo Sixian asked, he regretted it. Ye Qingqing’s appearance clearly suggested she had run out of dog food, yet he had tactlessly asked about it.

Huo Sixian couldn’t help but feel a wave of annoyance at himself.

”Um... there’s not much dog food left. It’s all in the bag.”

”It’s okay, Ah Huang doesn’t eat much.”

When Ye Qingqing said this, she didn’t even believe it herself, because Ah Huang’s frame looked exceptionally sturdy, not at all like a dog with no food to eat.

Lu Huan had developed feelings for Ah Huang after spending time with him these past few days. Hearing how pitiful Ah Huang was, he couldn’t help but feel a surge of sympathy.

He patted Ah Huang’s head. ”It’s okay, Ah Huang. I’ll find dog food for you later. With me around, you won’t go hungry!”

Ah Huang had eaten a lot with Ye Qingqing just now. Being patted heavily by Lu Huan, he couldn’t help but let out a burp.

Lu Huan smelled the meaty scent from Ah Huang’s mouth and twitched his nose. ”Why does Ah Huang’s mouth smell like meat?”

”It smells a bit like salmon!”

Ye Qingqing’s heart leaped into her throat when she heard that!
