Apocalyptic Disaster: The King of Soldiers' Ultimate Pampering

30: Chapter 3 Zero Yuan PurchaseDue to the high foundation and the existence of a basement, the water had only flooded up to the 7th floor at this time.

This building had a total of 18 floors, and each floor sold different items.

Huo Sixian walked in front to clear the way, followed by Ye Qingqing and Kong Ziyi.

The remaining three people headed upstairs.

”There doesn’t seem to be anyone on this floor. Let’s hurry up and look for supplies to see if there’s anything we need.”

Ye Qingqing naturally had no problem with Huo Sixian’s suggestion.

In fact, Ye Qingqing had wanted to go solo for a long time.

This floor sold electronic devices, and there were many good things that Ye Qingqing didn’t have in her space.

For example, the latest Electric Heaters, Sweeping Robots, and Solar Generators were just the basics.

Most importantly, there were many video game devices on this floor, such as PS5s, VR Glasses, and even those immersive motion machines.

In her previous life, Ye Qingqing had seen people playing those motion VR games in malls and loved them, but she never had the chance to try them.

She didn’t expect that she could now engage in ’zero-dollar shopping’ directly in this mall.

Although Huo Sixian didn’t explicitly say ’zero-dollar shopping,’ his purpose in bringing everyone here was self-evident.

However, Ye Qingqing didn’t care that much. The Department Store was truly carefree; except for the Fire Escape, none of the shops were locked, so they could just open the doors and walk in.

Ye Qingqing even felt that whether there were glass doors or not made no difference.

Because they served no purpose other than decoration.

The corridors of the Department Store were fine since there were emergency lights, but the shops had none, so it was pitch black as soon as one entered.

However, this also made it convenient for Ye Qingqing to store supplies into her space.

Ye Qingqing watched as Huo Sixian and Kong Ziyi rummaged through front desks and cabinets with bags, looking for any leftover food.

Ye Qingqing followed their lead and rummaged along, but in the process, her hands inadvertently reached for the electronic appliances in the shop.

Since it was pitch black anyway, Huo Sixian and the others couldn’t see what Ye Qingqing was doing.

Ye Qingqing entered a shop selling Electric Fans. The shop looked ordinary, but Ye Qingqing found an unopened delivery package under the front desk table.

A woman’s mysterious sixth sense told Ye Qingqing that there was definitely food in this box, so she quickly pulled it out.

Good heavens, once opened, it was actually a box full of instant noodles of all flavors. However, Ye Qingqing hesitated for a moment when she saw the ’stinky feet’ flavored pickled cabbage ones.

Although Ye Qingqing had her space and didn’t lack supplies, finding this box of instant noodles in this environment felt like discovering a real-life treasure.

With joy in her eyes, Ye Qingqing hurried to the back of the shop before leaving and collected dozens of Electric Fans into her space.

After finishing, she then walked out carrying the box of instant noodles.

Huo Sixian and Kong Ziyi were nowhere to be seen in the corridor. Ye Qingqing wanted to share the joy of finding a box of instant noodles with them, but then she felt that their relationship wasn’t quite that close yet, so she dropped the idea.

However, on this floor, only this Electric Fan shop yielded a bit more; in other shops, they only found some Tea Leaves, Melon Seeds, and the like.

Huo Sixian and Kong Ziyi didn’t care for these things.

But Ye Qingqing did. Tea Leaves were good things; in the Post-Apocalyptic World, they were luxury items just like tobacco and alcohol, capable of being traded for a lot of food.

While Huo Sixian and Kong Ziyi weren’t paying attention, Ye Qingqing slipped into a VR equipment store and stealthily took many VR Machines, filling her space to the brim.

However, at that moment, Ye Qingqing discovered that the space was full yet again.

Ye Qingqing once again could not sense the existence of the space. When her consciousness tried to enter, it was bounced back. Thus, she could only follow behind Huo Sixian and start scavenging for supplies at the front desks.

Fortunately, in the next few shops, Ye Qingqing had no interest in the items inside.

However, the subsequent search for supplies wasn’t as lucky as when Ye Qingqing found the box of instant noodles.

Ye Qingqing and Huo Sixian climbed several floors in a row without seeing any supplies.

”It looks like this place has been searched by someone.”

When the three of them reached the 1st floor, they realized something was wrong.

Because from the 9th floor down to the 1st floor, they couldn’t find a single supply. It looked like it had been rummaged through, yet there were no signs of anything being pried open, which couldn’t help but cause a wave of doubt to rise in Ye Qingqing’s heart.

The same doubt surfaced in Huo Sixian’s mind.

”Let’s search separately.” Huo Sixian held a Flashlight in one hand and handed one each to Ye Qingqing and Kong Ziyi.

He had found these on the 8th floor. Huo Sixian had put several in his bag, all of which were rechargeable models so they wouldn’t have to worry about the Flashlight running out of power later.

Actually, when Ye Qingqing saw the Flashlight shop, she felt a strong surge of desire, but for some reason, she couldn’t connect to her space this time.

Ye Qingqing couldn’t even feel the existence of the space at all.

For a moment, Ye Qingqing grew anxious and even became a bit absent-minded.

Huo Sixian, who was nearby, noticed something was wrong with Ye Qingqing and asked her what was going on.

”Qingqing, can I call you that?”

”Mainly, I feel that calling you by your full name all the time isn’t very good.”

Hearing Huo Sixian’s words, Kong Ziyi almost fainted from exasperation. This, this, this... he had always thought Huo Sixian was a quite clever person, but why did he act like a clueless kid who knew nothing when it came to Ye Qingqing?

How could someone talk to a girl like this!

Kong Ziyi felt he needed to step in to ease the awkwardness.

But he didn’t expect that Ye Qingqing hadn’t even processed what Huo Sixian was saying. In fact, she had no heart to think about it at all.

Because at this moment, Ye Qingqing’s heart was entirely focused on her space.

In her mind, Ye Qingqing tried countless times to connect with the space.

But there was no reaction. The entire space seemed to have vanished into thin air—or rather, it was as if this space had never existed.

Because the space had always existed within Ye Qingqing’s consciousness, which was equivalent to being inside her brain.

With the space gone now, Ye Qingqing had no idea where to even begin looking for it.
