I AM the Football Star

For a moment, the medical teams from both sides rushed onto the field.

First, they administered on-site bleeding control treatment to the two players.

When serious injuries occur, players should be treated first and then consider whether to carry them off the field for further treatment and if it affects the game.

Personal safety must always come first.

Otherwise, this is no longer a sport, but an extreme sport or a suicidal endeavor.

Approximately three minutes passed.

Talista’s head was bandaged, wrapped with multiple layers.

His head was smashed open.

After stopping the bleed, the medical team conducted a consciousness check to determine if he was awake and if he had a concussion.

Luckily, Talista clearly recognized the doctor’s two fingers.

He can remain on the field and continue the match.

He also insisted on staying on the field.

When Talista’s medical team left, indicating he could continue fighting with his injury, Miracle Stadium erupted in applause.

This was one of the rare spontaneous rounds of applause for Talista from the fans.

It should be noted that Talista has always been unpopular.

Previously, the applause from San Remo fans for Talista was mostly due to Lu Yang’s encouragement and leadership.

Without Lu Yang’s request, no one wanted to applaud Talista.

But this time, everyone finally accepted Talista from the heart.

Watching Talista play through his injury reminded people of Lu Yang and Talista’s competition for the Italian D League championship back in the Italian D Division.

Talista scored twice in that match.

But Lu Yang completed a hat-trick with an injury, snatched a championship trophy from Talista, and thus began the Miracle of San Remo, achieving one championship trophy after another.

Their championship pedigree started developing from that time.

Many at the time believed that an Italian D Division championship wasn’t significant enough for Lu Yang to risk playing injured.

Whether it was fans, some of the club staff, or even outside experts and players within the club, and... readers.

However... today, looking back, San Remo fans have gradually realized the importance of that championship.

That was the beginning of a dynasty!

Unlike Talista’s playing with injuries, over at Paris, the medical team signaled for a substitution!

Stiepelman’s brow bone was fractured and he couldn’t continue playing.

Apparently, bones at twenty-seven are a bit harder than those at thirty-something.

The cheers from San Remo fans stopped as they watched Stiepelman being carried off the field; they didn’t gloat.

Because not long ago, their teammate Bai Zhami also left the field due to injury and has yet to return.

Injuries are the biggest uncontrollable factor for a team.

Ninety-nine point nine-nine percent of professional players in the Five Major Leagues never aim to injure others in play.

If an injury occurs, it’s truly an accident.

Even if there’s emotional retaliation, no one intends to break someone’s leg or bone.

If anyone does, that player is not fit to be a professional.

Paris had already begun warming up a substitute central forward earlier, but when the need for a substitution became real, the Paris coach couldn’t hold back from swearing.

It was roughly equivalent to... damn it, don’t mess with me!

During the medical teams’ treatment, the main referee also went to the sidelines and repeatedly reviewed the VAR to determine Talista’s contesting intentions.

Ultimately, the main referee confirmed Talista never looked towards Stiepelman’s side at all.

His eyes were always fixed on the ball, and he and Stiepelman simultaneously contested the ball.

So it’s not a case of mutual fouls, but a naturally occurring field accident.

In football rulings, besides understanding the facts of foul play, referees must also consider intent!

That is the major difference between football and basketball, because if intent is not considered, rules will always have loopholes, and there will always be people who exploit these loopholes for advantage.

Ultimately, this seems to uphold the fairness of rules, but actually damages the entire game.

The existence of laws is not to make people aware of their inviolability and authority.

But to protect the interests of vulnerable groups.

If this cannot be achieved, the law essentially loses its original purpose and becomes a weapon in the hands of another group!

For example, in certain places in the West, if you’re rich enough, you’ll always receive a not-guilty verdict.

This set doesn’t work in football.

Although it may lead to some ”controversial calls,” that’s a problem of corrupt officiating, not an issue with the more scientific and fair judgment considering intent.

Next, the game continued.

But the immense impact Stiepelman’s absence had on Paris was immediately apparent.

In the following fifteen minutes, Paris lost almost twice as much possession compared to before!

The biggest problem was that without Stiepelman, there was no one upfront able to contest high balls.

Moreover, without Stiepelman’s ball protection, their front line almost lacked stable holders and pivot points.

This impacts their tactical formation.

From this angle, Stiepelman comes with his own tactical formation.

Before finding his perfect tactical setup in Paris, he drove the team using his personal tactical setup, accommodating Miguel, Boe, Sevajos, and other players.

He turned everyone from scattered sand into a cohesive whole, a super arrowhead.
