I AM the Football Star

Morici nodded, ”I know, so you guys don’t really see this money as anything significant, right? Rich people always disrespect money, just like how wealth rots behind their doors, while starving people freeze on the streets!”

Lu Yang added, ”Besides, I’ve actually had some cooperation with the Russell Group before. I can’t tell you the specifics, but I have a small share in those stadiums they’ve built.”

Morici’s eyes widened, ”No need to emphasize the word ’small’. I mean...you have money to participate in such large projects? Where does it come from?”

It seems Lu Yang’s finances have been accounted for.

Even with endorsement deals, they might add up to around just Fifteen Million euros.

Lu Yang shook his head, ”Not all investments require money. This business primarily involved a series of operations and strategic negotiations; money was just a minor part. You could think of it as...a technical shareholding.”

Morici was astounded!

Not investing money?

That’s like... manna falling from heaven?

This...

”Sigh, the process was actually very tough and risky. The Republican Newspaper is still chasing after me, partly related to these investments,” Lu Yang didn’t elaborate.

The truth is, he has many sources of income that ordinary people can’t trace.

For instance, the security company providing and maintaining the VAR system is a joint venture between Lu Yang and the Tang Family.

With VAR being utilized in numerous leagues worldwide, this income is substantial, especially since it involves little expense and falls under technical monetization.

Additionally, there are various football projects in China and Italian Football. Lu Yang isn’t looting from them, but these are regular business collaborations that naturally generate profit.

In fact, Lu Yang already takes very little.

If cooperating with domestic and Premier League, La Liga, or certain clubs, it would cost three to four times, or even ten times more.

This can be proven.

Regarding Lu Yang’s hidden income, Morici has already guessed some parts, which might be related to Martivini’s re-election.

Moreover, Lu Yang is deeply involved in a series of reforms in Serie A and changes to the national team.

Thud!

Morici kneeled on the spot.

”Momo, get up, don’t do this just because I have money. I’m not going to give you a dime for it, so why bother!” Lu Yang snorted trying to hold back his laughter.

Morici said seriously, ”Brother Lu, teach me! I definitely want to exert my football influence in Croatia in the future. I also hope, like you, to accumulate without earning dirty money.”

”Once I have enough financial capacity and influence, perhaps I can contribute significantly to Croatia’s long-term stability and prosperity.”

Momo is still concerned about his hometown.

And because of his statements and such during the European Cup, his popularity in Croatia has indeed skyrocketed, catching up with Manzuyovich, who had won the Croatia Footballer of the Year for several consecutive years before.

Despite Manzuyovich being a main central forward at top clubs during his peak with loads of honors.

But in terms of presence, Morici now is no less than the peak Manzuyovich.

And Morici is just twenty years old.

As long as he stays out of trouble, he is bound to become a generation’s ”Foot Valve” in Croatia!

Look at Lu Yang’s current three-step stadium incubation plan domestically, how grand it is.

If successful, Lu Yang will also become China’s Foot Valve!

Even though both are Foot Valves, the level of influence is incomparable.

Momo isn’t greedy; while not expecting to catch up with Brother Lu, he wants to achieve something in his hometown worthy of himself.

Lu Yang understood.

Momo is quite capable, wanting to be taught how to fish rather than given a fish.

This is entirely different from those street brothers around NBA stars.

Helping yourself is the way to be helped!

Lu Yang nodded, ”That’s absolutely fine. Speaking of, even a leader from a small nation’s football association like Jeffery can become the UEFA chairman; if Croatia strives hard, perhaps it might happen one day.”

”Now that European major countries are restraining each other, opportunities aren’t abundant. My guess is... after Jeffery, if Martivini sells Serie A, there may be a chance to break through. Next, it’s likely to be a few terms under smaller nations in UEFA.”

”Hmm?” Morici was puzzled.

Martivini?

Wasn’t he the president of the Italian Football Association?

How is this related to UEFA?

Nobody’s heard of this.

Realizing he spoke too much, Lu Yang whispered, ”Keep it low profile, don’t let this spread. Martivini...might have a chance!”

Momo was sweating profusely.

No wonder Brother Lu makes so much money.

When I was still playing, Brother Lu was already involved in such matters?

This...
