I AM the Football Star

”Hollywood’s Big Highlights”:”Invested with the team, Sofia isn’t coming to Hollywood to seek success; she’s here to conquer Hollywood with funds, scripts, and her acting skills!”

”Kicker”:”A bold speculation! Is Sofia’s investment related to Sanremo Football Club?”

The major media outlets went crazy.

If it was a certain consortium, some large venture capital firms or trust institutions, this investment would not be considered too exaggerated.

But the problem is that this institution is confirmed, with a high probability, to have been concocted by Sofia herself.

This is fundamentally different from an institution united by dozens of super families.

Although the scale is small, its freedom is incredibly large.

Of course, such an institution has a great difficulty in surviving long-term, unless it can repeatedly achieve financial miracles. Otherwise, once targeted, it will quickly be absorbed or merged and ultimately devoured by those large institutions.

This is why everyone was surprised by Sofia’s move.

From an employee’s perspective, Sofia is virtually at the ceiling.

But from a capitalist’s perspective, internationally, Sofia is just getting started.

Entering the field, making a huge bet on a real estate company and project she doesn’t really understand, with an unclear future.

Sofia... isn’t she afraid of losses?

Many media outlets analyzed from a professional angle and still couldn’t grasp the true purpose of Sofia’s action.

There’s always something that defies self-explanation.

Until the Cosmic Truth Sun Daily spoke up.

”Sun Newspaper”:”Do you think it’s Sofia who saved Russell? Why didn’t you consider that this money might be from Lu Yang?”

For this, the Sun Newspaper even rarely released three headlines consecutively to explain their view.

”Sun Newspaper”:”Let’s be bold, this money is Sofia investing in Russell Group for Lu Yang! The only purpose is to ensure Sanremo finishes the season well, leaving a perfect ending to Lu Yang’s Sanremo career, rather than a collapse and dispersion!”

”Sun Newspaper”:”Even bolder! This is Lu Yang’s secret investment for his old club so he can play comfortably. It looks silly, but wealthy people are indeed this willful.”

”Sun Newspaper”:”Perhaps, soon Sanremo will belong to Lu Yang! This might be his way of circumventing the current Italian Football Association regulations!”

The Sun Newspaper went berserk!

After seeing the headlines from the Sun Newspaper, everyone burst into laughter.

Indeed, when gossip media talk business, they just can’t get it right.

Do you know what concept this investment represents?

It’s said Lu Yang gave it!

Does Lu Yang have that much money?

Even if he does, would he invest all of it in Russell Group?

How silly would that be!

Moreover, that much money, would Lu Yang trust Sofia to manage?

In other words, would Sofia actually be willing to spend that much for Lu Yang?

Stupid media!

Sun Newspaper got slammed by its peers.

...

Sanremo.

”Dad, oh no, Brother Lu, is that money Sofia invested really yours?” Morici asked while training with Lu Yang.

Lu Yang smiled mysteriously, didn’t speak, or nod or shake his head.

It’s not about not trusting Morici, but it’s really something that can’t be said.

Once known by the football association, he’d be in big trouble.

Active football players cannot directly participate in the ownership of any football club.

It’s also to prevent match-fixing.

But with the tacit understanding between Lu Yang and Morici, one look from Lu Yang, and Morici understood.

”Oh my gosh, how is this possible!” Morici felt emo!

Everyone’s good brothers, right.

You can live better than me, but... you can’t live so much better, can you?

”Your annual salary is only three million, although you also get a lot of bonuses, but you didn’t have much in the first two years... your football salary plus various bonuses over these years shouldn’t exceed ten million euros!” Morici started calculating for Lu Yang.

Actually, this number is quite terrifying.

The career of professional football players, starting at eighteen, most can play until thirty-two, thirty-three.

On average, about twelve years.

If the annual salary is in the million range, the total career salary might just be around fifteen million euros.

But the previous player salaries weren’t that high.

Before the Golden Yuan era, a million annual salary was a star’s salary; other players got less.

It’s fair to say that Lu Yang’s football salary over three years has already been the total career earnings of many decent stars.

This is quite a forefront income in the football world.

Except for people like Izalelt, Gutierrez, Lima, Moreira, Zidane, not many can surpass Lu Yang in actual income.

”You made some money making movies, too, right?” Morici asked, ”How much exactly?”

He’s not that familiar with box-office sharing.

Lu Yang squinted and calculated: ”Possibly... around... fifty or sixty million euros?”

Morici collapsed right there.

The media was right!

Lu Yang’s movie earnings far exceeded his football income.

The key is that the investment between the two is completely incomparable.

Lu Yang plays football all year, while in movies... he just wrote a script, invested some money, that’s all.

”It’s mainly because Sofia gave me the opportunity; she was willing to share some investment shares with me.” Lu Yang explained, ”So this money, seemingly earned by me, but I think it’s fine to consider it Sofia’s also.”

”We’re not the kind to be picky about money.”

”Sofia also thinks her movies achieved those results largely due to me, thus believing this is what I deserve.”

”It sounds a bit complex, but it’s really simple.”
