I AM the Football Star

Inter Milan’s current salary level ranks second in Serie A!

Only behind Juventus!

But in the standings, they are behind San Remo, currently ninth in Serie A!

And Udinese, in tenth, has the same points as them.

When a team achieves results, players’ prices increase, high salary renewals ensue, better results are achieved, players’ prices continue to rise beyond the team’s means... At this point, the team has two choices.

Reluctantly give up this lineup, and start over.

Or believe in this lineup of veterans and renew contracts with higher salaries.

In fact, teams like Liverpool in reality are facing the same choice. Their key players are due for renewals, but they are relatively older, making high-salary renewals very risky. If they don’t renew, the team’s competitiveness could immediately drop several levels.

Inter Milan chose the latter, betting on the original lineup, but with poor results, the team collapsed instantly.

This process is actually quite similar to Juventus.

The difference is that Juventus’s past achievements were Serie A championships, with higher bonuses and endorsement levels in all aspects.

Whereas Inter Milan’s income in this area is much less.

Additionally, Juventus’s high salaries are based on retaining key veterans like Ancelotti, Audi, Chiavich, as well as talent players like Turan, Vidal.

Their salary increase, although beyond their capacity, was for the right targets.

As for Inter Milan... They couldn’t keep Gutierrez, and then didn’t cherish Talista.

Their salary increase target was Finger; they bet on the wrong person.

They burned the wrong incense.

This is the real reason for their collapse.

It also explains the oft-mentioned disparity in value and salary between superstar players and others, even if their skill differences might not be large.

Because some players are indeed irreplaceable and can elevate the team by one or two levels.

Before the match, reporters interviewed Lu Yang for a brief Q&A session.

And Lu Yang finally responded directly to the claim made by the Republican Newspaper that the San Remo miracle had harmed Italian football.

Lu Yang: ”I thought such remarks wouldn’t make much of a splash, but I didn’t expect some friends were still misled by the Republican Newspaper. It’s not the fans’ fault; they were just deceived.”

”But as a professional institution, the behavior of the Republican Newspaper is very irresponsible.”

”What does it mean by Florence should have won? Is the Republican Newspaper demanding San Remo to play a fixed match? How many Purple Lily qualifications did they buy?”

”Or, if they dare to imply about San Remo this plainly, what about the others? Just how involved was the Republican Newspaper in the shocking match-fixing scandal in Serie A years ago? We’ve barely washed away that terrible label, was the Republican Newspaper one of the ones that slipped through the net back then?”

The reporter was stunned.

Damn!

That accusation is too fierce.

Lu Yang continued: ”Besides, I admit that Florence is strong, but if just being stronger means they should win the match, then... why do we play so many games each year?”

”At the start of each season, UEFA might as well grade each team’s lineup and directly award Champions League, Europa League trophies and rankings based on scores. Do the same for the league, wouldn’t that settle it? Why bother playing?”

”The greatest charm of a football match lies in the fact that until the game is over, anything can happen.”

”Our goal has never been the Champions League; we haven’t even thought about reaching the Champions League quarter-finals. But whatever happens, we will always give our all when facing the next opponent.”

”Personally, I think the Republican Newspaper shouldn’t continue its forced publication. Their news clearly contains too much misinformation, which has led them to be abandoned by the new generation of fans.”

”Their existence has blocked many smaller publications from rising, and they prolong their final glory, but in fact, the damage they cause to the Italian media industry is enormous.”

”If the Republican Newspaper could close down, I can announce right now that the San Remo miracle is over! Thank you!”

This...

In the subsequent match, San Remo vented all their dissatisfaction on Inter Milan, delivering a two-nil, with Lu Yang scoring twice.

On March 11, San Remo defeated Chievo and climbed to seventh in the league.

On March 18, San Remo held Lazio to a draw.

On March 31, San Remo won the thirtieth round of Serie A.

In these four matches, Lu Yang averaged a goal per game, scoring four goals and providing one assist.

Thirty-six league goals, close to double figures in assists.

Morici had two goals and one assist, reaching sixteen assists in the league.

What does this mean?

Morici’s personal assists have already made Serie A history, breaking the record of fourteen assists in a single Serie A season!

Similarly, Lu Yang’s thirty-six Serie A goals also broke the Serie A single-season scoring record!

He and Morici have almost assuredly secured the Serie A Golden Boot and assist king with six rounds to go this season!

San Remo’s twin stars, full of vigor!

And Talista, who joined San Remo this season, achieved an impressive eighteen goals and twelve assists.

San Remo is just one point away from sixth place in Serie A!

But just when San Remo seemed to have stabilized their league position, news from the French football scene emerged about San Remo.

France’s famous economic media reported the recent financial troubles of the Russell Group.

Stating that there might be a crisis of a funding chain break for the Russell Group.

This statement immediately stirred up a huge wave.

The Russell Group is a big corporation in Italy, which is why San Remo has been so ”dominant” in Italy!

This winter window San Remo didn’t buy players, which was already unusual.

Now it seems, the Russell issue was not sudden.

This is quite conclusive.

The intention behind the French media releasing these messages is not hard to see through.

Because that economic publication is based in Paris.

And has cooperative relations with the French Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain.

Recently, in the Champions League quarter-final draw, San Remo was drawn against the wealthy Paris Saint-Germain.

Ligue 1 powerhouse VS Serie A underdog!

This is a match that Paris, under any circumstance, must not lose!
