I AM the Football Star

”I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that red card. Perotti indeed lost his cool, and I hope he can calm down after this. It’s a violation worth deep reflection for him and for us Purple Lily.”

”Of course, we shouldn’t blame Perotti, nor should we blame every Purple Lily who fought hard. We’ve proven our strength, and we almost stopped San Remo! If we had eleven players, perhaps, we could have really brought an end to the miracle!”

”This instead gives me even more confidence!”

”I’ve said for several seasons now, the ultimate goal of my career is to lead Florence to the peak of Serie A and win a precious Serie A championship trophy.”

”In past years, we have always been close to this goal, but fell just short. And this year, the Champions League is merely an unexpected joy for us. It’s great if we advance, but if not, it’s not a bad thing.”

”Because next, we’ll be putting two hundred percent of our energy into the league, we must hold our position on the scoreboard, and not give Juventus, Atlanta, Rome, or others any chance!”

A team’s morale, actually, sometimes depends on many aspects.

Any team with Messi and C Luo, no matter their achievements, people expect them to win the Champions League!

And who demands Barça without Messi to win the Champions League? To win the league?

Similarly, Manchester United without C Luo, any second place in competitions would absolutely satisfy Red Devils’ fans one hundred percent.

The expectations of team leaders greatly drive teammates, fans, and unify them.

Carrel is a very typical example.

He has cultivated deeply in Purple Lily for so many years, and has long gained the people’s hearts.

His will is the team’s and the fans’ will.

And his lifelong pursuit has always been the league championship.

Therefore, the team’s fans have a significant difference compared to fans of other giants.

In an era where everyone considers the Champions League as the highest goal, Purple Lily fans are the only ones who love the league championship more.

They are different and are proud of it.

Because what they adhere to is not higher glory, but the lifelong faith of the team’s greatest contributor.

In sports competition, the highest glory represents everything.

But if someone can give up the pursuit of the highest glory for other honor, their realm has temporarily transcended the competitive level.

Next, Versachi also accepted an interview: ”It’s a pity we’ve been eliminated, which was not something we considered before. But when it really happened, we weren’t unable to accept it.”

”After all, standing opposite us was San Remo, a team that can always create miracles.”

”Before, I was proud to believe in this spirit, but now, because of believing in this spirit, I feel pain. But I will continue to believe in this spirit! San Remo, please carry our Purple Lily’s will and continue in the Champions League!”

Reporter: ”We saw you use your body to block Lu Yang’s shot, aren’t you afraid?”

Versachi: ”Of course I am afraid, that’s Lu’s shot! But I cannot back down, I have reasons to use my body to block his shot. Also, from what I understand about Lu, when he feels our kind of belief, he will change the way he scores.”

”And indeed, that’s the case.”

Reporter: ”So, you mean, you influenced Lu Yang with this approach, making him carry moral and spiritual pressure? He feared injuring you, so chose another way?”

Versachi shook his head: ”You shouldn’t interpret human nature like this, and that’s not the reality. It’s a multi-level game. We play football, not a killing game.”

”Will Lu Yang’s shot kill people? No, but it will hurt a lot. We overcome our fear of pain, not the fear of death, which cannot be overcome.”

”Similarly, the way Lu Yang shoots is deliberately designed to evoke defenders’ fear of pain and even death. His long shots are truly powerful not just in technique but also in psychological intimidation.”

”He packages his goals to feel like defenders would die upon contact! He pursues breakthroughs in ball speed and the impact of scoring, for this purpose.”

”Intimidation is the key to long shots. A forward who uses long shots as a regular scoring method cannot become a top forward because the threshold isn’t guaranteed, too unstable! Using long shots as a novelty can only improve his finishing efficiency.”

”If you carefully flip through Lu Yang’s long-shot compilation, you’ll find that about a third of the goals were actually within opposing defenders and goalkeepers’ ability to block, but they didn’t.”

”Because they were scared!”

”Similarly, Lu Yang is a very smart player, and his label is definitely not limited to being tough that the public knows. He’s always been the true decision-maker behind San Remo!”

”He’s very sensitive to data. When he realizes his long shots have lost such intimidation, in the face of a defensive strategy, his long-shot scoring rate actually doesn’t differ much from other long-shot players.”

”So to pursue higher efficiency, he will actively change his way of scoring.”
