I AM the Football Star

But the England Team was ruthlessly KO’d by that player named Lu Yang.

This year’s European Cup had many heroes, but the one who impressed some farsighted professionals the most was the nineteen-year-old Lu Yang!

Because, he already has the makings of a superstar.

What heights can he reach in the future?

Even if he falls immediately, he is still a Michael Boso.

If he can maintain this performance, then three or five years later, he might become another Lima.

Both Boso and Lima achieved the highest honor of the Golden Ball Award early in their careers!

Yes.

No matter what others say, Sir Manchester believes that Lu Yang is likely to become a strong contender for the Golden Ball Award in three to five years.

This prediction is years ahead of what’s on the market.

Because many people still don’t believe Lu Yang has such potential in the future. They are still discussing how many years Lu Yang needs to consistently perform to be deemed a real star, or whether Lu Yang has the potential to become a superstar in the future.

”Then why don’t we just buy Lu Yang?” Wayne MacLorin spoke up.

He has faced Lu Yang before and therefore... he doesn’t reject the idea of having such a dedicated and tenacious player as a teammate.

He even looks forward to receiving assists from that guy.

”Because Manchester United can only have one ruler.” Sir took a long time to say this sentence, and then he gave no further explanation.

But whether it was Neville or MacLorin or anyone else, they all looked surprised.

Does Sir mean... if Lu Yang comes to Manchester United, he will take over... no, snatch the highest authority in Manchester United from Sir before Sir voluntarily retires? Become the real ruler of Manchester United?

This...

Is it possible?

”Manchester United... is not an Italian D Division team.” MacLorin still felt a bit incredulous, his worldview didn’t allow him to accept such bizarre information.

That’s Sir!

He’s a god of Manchester United!

He’s the god who kicked the once invincible Liverpool off the throne!

”He’s also long past the days when he was questioned by Italian D Division fans while playing center-back.” Sir said as he turned on the TV, the Champions League match was about to start.

On the screen, Lu Yang was warming up.

”From the Italian D Division season till now, do you know how many goals he has scored in official matches?” Sir asked everyone.

Neville hadn’t followed this before, but he heard that the kid is really good at scoring goals: ”It’s easy to score in lower leagues. He’s been out for almost three years now, should be... a hundred goals?”

MacLorin shook his head: ”I think I saw his goal stats before. After the European Cup, his goals should have exceeded one hundred sixty?”

Sir nodded: ”Almost, but now, just over a quarter of the Serie A season, his total goals in all competitions have reached... one hundred eighty-five!”

”Total assists across all competitions, sixty-four!”

”Even that kid Morici beside him has accumulated one hundred one assists!”

Gasp!

The Manchester United players took a deep breath.

Which means, by the end of this season, Lu Yang’s total goals may exceed two hundred?

Fifteen goals, Serie A, Champions League, national team, in half a season, doing this is not easy.

But no one doubts that Lu Yang could achieve this.

Two goals in a Champions League match, five goals in four national team matches, nine goals in eight league matches.

Fifteen goals, it won’t be the limit of Lu Yang’s upcoming scoring tally!

This person, when playing in Serie A, his performance doesn’t seem much different from when he played in Serie B, Italian Third Division, or Italian D Division.

Three years, two hundred goals!

MacLorin was silent.

He’s reached his peak at Manchester United in the past two years, but barely scored twenty goals in the league.

Across all competitions, he’s averaged about thirty goals in the last three seasons.

But this is during his peak.

When he first joined Manchester United, when he played for other teams before, his stats weren’t glamorous.

Charging full, his total goals now might be over one hundred fifty.

This...

Including all his formal match stats from youth training, he might have more goals than Lu Yang.

But that’s different.

The youth teams of many clubs might be much stronger than Italian Third Division, Italian D Division teams.

But the purpose and essence of youth matches differ from professional leagues.

The former is to groom talent, in short, as long as you’re happy.

But the latter... in terms of nature, each match has no difference from Serie A, Premier League.

”Anyone who sees such a phenomenal player beside them will become his supporter, perhaps I won’t be an exception.” Sir said, ”But I cannot become anyone’s supporter; I represent Manchester United’s will, and Manchester United cannot be conquered by any individual.”

”Even if that player deserves Manchester United to be captivated by him, but... can anyone following him bear this heavy expectation?”

These words seem convoluted but actually reflect a long-term value perspective.

Once a team is captivated by an individual, the team’s glory and decline become tied to that player.

That player can indeed perform well, but during his decline later in his career?

Even if he retires at his peak, avoiding a late downturn, not dragging the team down. But since the team has developed a habit of worshiping the team leader, can a new leader perform as well as the previous one?

Can they live up to Manchester United’s honor and pride?
