I AM the Football Star

How would you describe the team San Remo?

Restrained!

This team has always been very restrained!

They rarely achieve outrageous scores.

And the reason, is manifold.

Mainly, they always had few people, so... injuries were unaffordable!

In the Serie B season, it could be said that San Remo was the most prominent in strength, especially compared to their opponents.

But at that time they were fighting on three fronts, with a heavy match schedule, so once they had the advantage, the main players would be substituted.

This approach had benefits, but also left some fans unsatisfied.

A team that doesn’t achieve some earth-shattering scores cannot impress some of the arrogant fans!

So, when Lu Yang scored a penalty, some fans of San Remo shouted a mantra.

”Score five! Score five! Score five!”

San Remo fans quickly got infected by the chant, and everyone raised their hands, demanding the team score five goals against Inter!

Inter fans were enraged on the spot.

They immediately clashed with San Remo fans in the stands.

If not for the quick intervention of the Security Guard, a full-blown brawl might have erupted.

But two fans still got into a fight.

Both got bruises and were escorted out of the stadium.

After the match, they would undoubtedly face punishment, and both are likely to be banned from watching matches in the stadium for a period.

But the San Remo fan will definitely be banned for a bit longer than the Inter fan.

After all, he is one of their own.

No matter from any perspective, the behavior of these two fans is unacceptable.

We never support stadium violence, nor do we support violence among fans.

But having said that, such scenes indeed affect the players on the field.

The tempers of both teams’ players were rising.

”Calm down!” Morici timely realized the situation, started controlling the field, and moved the ball back.

So in the short term, the ten-man Inter was not at a disadvantage.

San Remo seemed as if they hadn’t gained any advantage at all.

Though they maintained control of possession, they did not launch frequent attacks on Inter’s penalty area.

”Morici has become more mature,” Sotu marveled, ”Surrounding Inter now indeed might collapse them. But at the same time, Inter’s players would definitely foul maliciously, and we are likely to have injured players.”

”Morici’s actions are not just preserving the situation, but also protecting the players’ physical health, avoiding the possibility of another on-field conflict!”

”Moreover, this kind of maneuver actually is also consuming Inter’s morale and stamina.”

”After a certain period, when Inter’s spirits go down, it’s our time to launch an all-out offensive.”

”The last six or seven minutes of the first half, and the last fifteen minutes of the second half, are our harvest time!”

Old Tom nodded.

No wonder he’s a great coach, not only predicting the scenarios but also planning the timing.

With that said, from the fortieth minute on, San Remo might score their third goal.

Suddenly, the sound at the scene became chaotic.

Old Tom and Sotu turned to look at the field.

Unexpectedly, Lu Yang was through on goal!

San Remo drew Inter out, and then a simple through ball pierced Inter’s defense.

Lu Yang charged into the penalty area, facing Inter’s goalkeeper 1v1.

”Shoot... didn’t he?”

Under every eye, Lu Yang performed a cycling move, faking out the goalkeeper, creating an open goal.

Hat trick!

Everyone thought Lu Yang would score a hat trick.

But facing an open goal, Lu Yang passed the ball to the oncoming Talista.

Bam!

Lu Yang, with the open goal, let Talista push the ball into the empty net.

Three to zero!

San Remo achieved a big victory!

”Oh oh oh! Unbelievable! There is no more selfless player in the world than Lu Yang!”

”Who can imagine letting a goal in front of an open net?”

”My God! Doesn’t he deserve a sportsmanship award?”

”This is what a leader is! No wonder Talista only respects Lu Yang!”

”I think many forwards will feel ashamed after watching Lu Yang’s performance, right?”

Not just in this stadium, many other stars watching this match were left speechless.

Real Madrid’s Zidane had just won a match and was watching this game on the bus with Izalelt.

”Lu is too selfless!” Izalelt greatly admired Lu Yang’s actions.

Zidane smiled.

You call this selflessness?

This was already a match certain to win.

Unexpectedly, this cherry-on-top goal could be scored by anyone.

But Talista, who received this favor from Lu Yang, will be compelled to let Lu Yang take penalties in some crucial matches in the future, even if he wins multiple penalties.

There’s an unwritten rule in the team.

If a player wins multiple penalties in one match, then after the second time, he should take the penalty personally as a reward.

Of course, Lu Yang isn’t looking to trade this goal for penalties.

He is exchanging goals in an unimportant match for goals in crucial matches.

He was born as if for big stages.

When you think that anyone can be the soul of this team, he’ll show you there’s only one true soul.

This is what Zidane wanted to do at Real Madrid.

But he failed.

Because just like San Remo, a small team is different from Real Madrid, where every player thinks they should be the one playing in key moments, and they don’t compromise with each other.

Perhaps they will make way for Izalelt this year since he is new and his momentum is too strong.
