I AM the Football Star

Averro was taken down on the field.

But the main referee didn’t blow the whistle.

Because Lu Yang touched the ball first.

It was a perfect slide tackle under high-speed confrontation!

No problems at all.

Getting up, Lu Yang waved his finger at Averro.

Many fans in the stands booed.

”Hahaha! Lu Yang and Averro had a one-on-one duel. Was Lu Yang angered by Averro’s celebration?” Coach Jun asked.

”I don’t think so. I think Lu Yang actually admires Averro, so he took the initiative to defend him. It’s Lu Yang testing his own fanboy!” Luo Cheng shared his perspective, which was closer to the truth.

”Isn’t Lu Yang worried that this might make Averro angry? Or can Averro sense Lu Yang’s deeper meaning?” Coach Jun didn’t understand.

”If Averro is Lu Yang’s fanboy, then he definitely understands.” Luo Cheng said, ”People choose idols often for three reasons. The first one is quite superficial, which is publicity.”

”As long as the publicity is in place and you hear about them frequently, you’ll naturally become interested and start supporting them. You’re more willing to believe in someone whose name you’ve heard than someone you haven’t.”

”Many foreign elections are based on public voting like this.”

”The second reason is you know the teams well, you know who’s stronger, who can win championships, or you know how many championships someone has already won! This is for the winners, the champion fans, essentially worshipping the strong, which isn’t wrong; it’s human nature.”

”The third is being attracted to a particular characteristic of someone, thus developing a strong liking for them.”

”For example, a player’s obsession with victory, loyalty to the team, protection and dedication to teammates, kindness and intimacy with fans, noble sportsmanship, clever playing style, etc.”

”This third kind easily forms die-hard fans. Even if you like the same player, the qualities you admire might differ.”

”Among these fans in the third category, there are two types. One doesn’t have the capability to be like the player but longs to have such qualities. For instance, some timid people might adore Kobe’s independence and courage, but they definitely don’t have a Kobe-type personality and might even be timid in reality.”

”We covered this in a past episode where we had statistics about this topic. The other type of Kobe fans is those who are very similar to Kobe; they are a kind of people! It’s understanding and admiration coming from being alike!”

”Personally, I think Averro is the second type of fan in the third category.”

”He and Lu Yang are very likely the same kind of people!”

As Luo Cheng finished speaking, on the field, Averro, who had just been perfectly defended by Lu Yang, slinked away from that path, seeming to return to the left.

At this time, a teammate threw in a handball from the sidelines.

Sporting Lisbon’s midfielder received the ball and passed it horizontally to Averro.

Averro in the center dribbled straight toward San Remo’s penalty area!

He wasn’t backing down!

Indeed, he avoided Lu Yang, but his belief in victory didn’t waver, and he could re-engage in the match anytime.

Morici was closest to Averro, trying to intercept.

However, Averro executed a whirlwind series of step-overs, not only cycling four steps but with each step-over, his feet, calves, thighs, hips, shoulders, head, and gaze were all intensely probing and deceiving.

This was the highest-level step-over!

If some people’s step-overs are just appearances, then Averro’s step-over has a soul!

It might not look that graceful, but only defenders know how terrifying it is!

Bang!

Averro nudged the ball past, the ball flying past Morici.

The next moment, Averro went past as well.

Morici was stunned, wanting to chase back, but his balance was already in turmoil.

Morici collapsed hard!

Averro, one step to heaven, bypassed Morici, then looked up at San Remo’s impenetrable defense line and decisively raised his foot.

From a distance of thirty-four meters from the goal, the young Portuguese player Averro blasted a powerful shot!

Boom!

After a brief hang time, the ball appeared directly in San Remo’s goal.

Extremely fast!

”Roar!”

After scoring, Averro immediately looked towards Lu Yang, roaring at him.

As he roared, he rolled up his pant leg, pointing at his strong thigh, excited!

At that moment, it was as if the only two people on the field were them.

”Did you see? I’m strong! Don’t treat me like a kid, remember my name, I’m Chris Averro!” Averro’s eyes spoke louder than words.

”I remember, you’re Averro, and you’re indeed strong.” Lu Yang also looked at Averro, his gaze growing firm, ”But I, Lu Yang, must take this game’s victory!”
