I AM the Football Star

”Same as upstairs!”

”You also gained a best buddy?”

”No, he later became my husband!”

”Hiss hiss hiss! This... full of bromance?”

”Idiot, I’m a female football fan!”

The netizens were discussing it enthusiastically, and no one was criticizing Lu Yang anymore for participating in the Sanremo Music Festival, accusing him of being unprofessional.

Because no one can doubt his passion for football; only those with a deep understanding of football can say so many things that are even more important than football.

The so-called professionalism is just treating playing football as a job.

But Lu treats football as something he loves, and that’s far more passionate than a work attitude.

Those who say ”some people work just as passionately as they live their lives”—are they passionate about their work?

No, it’s about money!

It’s about the loved ones, children, parents, family, friends, life behind the need for money!

They are also more passionate about the things they love, having nothing to do with work.

Those eighteen disciples around Ma Yun, the eight kings of Xiaomi, the five tigers of Tencent, and other fierce creatures, do they love work?

Love my foot!

What they love is the life and achievements behind the work, having nothing to do with work.

If anyone tells you that you should love your work and for this, should work 9-9-6 or even 0-0-7, don’t hesitate, give them a heartfelt CNMD!

Amid the applause at the scene, some journalists on a mission felt awkward.

On one hand, they were deeply moved, but on the other, the work and bonuses represented the happiness of their own lives.

They could only choose the latter.

So, a journalist stood up and continued to ask: ”Lu Yang, what you said was great, you moved me. But we all live in reality, we have to face reality.”

”Your actions do indeed bring harm to football. You will make some fans swinging between football and music turn to the music camp. The more you do this, the more fans will be attracted to other things.”

”You can’t deny the harm you’ve brought to football!”

Dang!

This comment kicked many people out of bliss.

In a short time, everyone really didn’t know how to refute his words.

Whether in terms of stance or reasoning, what he said seemed indisputable.

Lu Yang reacted quickly: ”If they are indeed drawn away by other elements, then it only shows they never truly belonged to football; I hope they can find happiness in projects they love, and I will wish them well.”

Journalist: ”It’s easy to talk while standing, what if one day no one watches football anymore? Can you still earn such high salaries? Will us sports journalists still have jobs?”

”No!”

”When people no longer need us, what do we do? What does football do?”

Many people got goosebumps from these words.

Too profound!

The future depicted is too terrifying!

It’s simply a nightmare.

It’s simply the end of football!

Could there be such a day?

Lu Yang slightly raised the corner of his mouth, looked at the journalist, and said: ”If indeed there comes a day when no one wants to watch football or needs it, it means football’s mission on this planet is complete.”

”Though a bit regretful, I would still say an unwilling farewell.”

”I’m a professional player, I may never leave football in my lifetime, but I know others aren’t the same.”

”When many people first enter school, they may no longer come into contact with football; football’s role in accompanying them is completed.”

”When some youth team players can’t get contracts, some will change industries, meaning football will lessen or even disappear from their lives.”

”When many strive for their families and can no longer play or watch football; although reluctant, football will still leave their world.”

”Such things have always happened and will continue to happen. We have to accept it, and we must accept it because, hey, buddy, it’s just football!”

The journalist trembled all over.

Hey, buddy, it’s just football.

This...

Why at this moment does he have the urge to cry?

Why exactly?

Lu Yang looked at the crowd: ”Basketball is becoming increasingly popular, in Europe many young people enjoy playing basketball instead of just choosing football.”

”Not to mention the rapid expansion of the film market; more and more people enjoy adding watching movies to their activity lists, and a movie requires at least an hour and a half, even two or three hours.”

”China has two very attractive sports, square dance and Mahjong. They’re very popular, have strong spreadability, and indeed are very interesting.”

”Similarly, there’s e-sports with great development potential for the future, it could even become a rising world-class sport! Future young people might not watch sports anymore but watch e-sports, cheering for WE, OMG, IG, EDG! You may not know these names, but that’s not important.”

”Script-killing, reading novels, listening to music, watching stage plays... there’s just so much interesting stuff in this world, constantly coming along, but human time won’t increase, one day will always have only twenty-four hours.”

”Who can we make extinct? Who can we prevent from appearing and developing? We can stop them for a while, but can we stop them for a lifetime? For several generations?”
